Brilliant Africa Arvostelua 

Brilliant Africa arranged a Safari for us in Tanzania and Kenya, for September & October 2024. With one minor exception, the four camps were wonderful. The one issue was that one of us has mobility issues and the tented lodge at Ormatai Rocks was difficult to access due to an incomplete trail from the main lodge to our lodge. However, the tented camps at Sanctuary Ngorongoro, at Mara River & Porini Lion Camp were absolutely wonderful with no issues whatever. The staff and the food at all four camps were wonderful. I have absolutely no problem recommending Brilliant Africa to arrange Safaris for anyone applying to experience Africa and all of its wildlife.

From the very beginning, Tracy and Aly were amazing. Booking was simple with 2 or 3 plans drawn up based on our requests, once we had selected one we could just sit back and relax. The beautiful views in all of the parks, the difference in the terrain between Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Northern Serengeti was amazing, seeing the migration and the river crossings just added to the magic! Africa had never been somewhere on my to do list, I was pessimistic at first and initially only agreed for my wife for our Honeymoon, but I am in love with the country of Tanzania, the continent of Africa, the rich diverse culture, the amazing food and the people. We are already discussing a return trip in the future! I could not recommend Brilliant Africa enough to people.

We highly recommend Brilliant Africa for your Safari plans. We first had help from Tracy who listened to our ideas and came up with the plan of everything we wanted to see. We had to make changes of the dates and she was very helpful .
Once the planning was done and the reservations made Alyson helped us with all the details . She helped us get our visas needed for Kenya and Tanzania and the insurance needed for Zanzibar. Anything we needed or any questions we had were replied to the same day or the next.
We arrived in Nairobi and stayed at the Karen Blixen coffee Garden and Cottages. This is in very nice, safe part of Nairobi. We went to the Daphne Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, the Rothschild giraffe center and visited the Karen Blixen museum.
Then it was off to The River camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This was our favorite camp of the entire trip. Our guide Yusuf was amazing and the camp was beautiful . We came to see rhinos and we did. The rhino conservation and seeing the last two remaining white rhinos and hearing the plans to try and increase the number was very interesting We saw many animals from this camp and esp the rhinos. We were here 3 nights.
Another small flight and we were at the Maasai Mara area and the ll Moran Camp. We enjoyed our beautiful tent here and were taken care of. It is above the Mara river with many hippos and occasional croc seen from above. Julius was our knowledgeable and fun guide. We were here 4 nights and saw many animals up close. We included the hot air balloon and breakfast and it was very special.
Two flights and 2 bus rides and we crossed into Tanzania and were in the Northern Serengeti at the Siringit Migration camp for 3 nights. We came here to see the migration and we saw 2 large ones one the same day. We were here 3 nights.
One more small flight and we were in the Ngorongoro Crater area and went to see this.We stayed at the Plantation Lodge which wasn’t close to the crater but it was beautiful.
Zanzibar and the Gold Zanzibar BeachHouse and Spa was our final destination. 4 days of relaxing here before we went home. This place was 1 1/2 hours from the airport and town but it was very nice. We did a tour of the town and took a small boat to Prison Island and saw the Aldabra Giant Tortoise.
The trip started with a flawless pickup at the airport, 6 flights around to all our sites, and the nicest , caring people at all the places to take care of us.
We really recommend you plan your trip to Africa with Brilliant Africa and the wonderful, knowledgeable , caring people who work there.

We had the absolute best time on our honeymoon in Tanzania/Zanzibar. It truly was a trip of a lifetime. Honestly everything was perfect from beginning to end. We loved every place we lodged at and Tulia in Zanzibar was the most amazing place to end the trip on. Our two guides we had throughout the trip were incredible. We experienced so much wildlife while there (especially in the Serengeti) and it exceeded our expectations!

Aly at Brilliant Africa planned our trip to Uganda and Tanzania. It was awesome. Everything went perfectly. All of the lodges were fantastic! Our guides, drivers, everyone took excellent care of us. There were a lot of moving parts to this trip and Aly made sure everything was taken care of. It could not have been a better experience!

It was a year in planning and Brilliant Africa along with Tracy and especially Alyson, could not have been more responsive to our every question. They helped us put together the Adventure of a lifetime for our group! From selecting the areas to explore, setting the agenda, to getting our Visas, suggesting a beach stay, to explaining each different venue and what to expect and help explain what documentation we would need, Aly was the BEST! No detail left unanswered. A memorable 5 Star Adventure!

Everything went perfect. All the flights, transfers, guides, tours & sundowners were all on time & as scheduled. The trip exceeded our expectations as we got to see all 5 of the Big Animals, a major Wildebeest migration, a spectacular hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti & wonderful hotel accommodations. Our very favorite accommodation was the Nimali in the Tarangire Park--incredible water hole where we saw many different animals come to drink, & the food & wine were amazing. In addition our guides from Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club, Thomas & Fred were exceptional as drivers & as knowledgeable guides! We would give this tour a 10 rating if we could.

Couldn’t be more grateful for the Brilliant Africa team in planning my Ugandan dream experience. It was tailored perfectly to what I wanted to see and do. An active trekking adventure in the Rwenzori Mountains, mountain gorilla tracking and safari time to witness my favourite animal (giraffes) in the wild!

Created memories that will last my lifetime. The only downside - 17 days wasn’t enough time! I’ll be planning to visit Africa again and allow more time. Amazing job by the team. Thank you 💜

Brilliant Africa planned the trip of a lifetime that we won't soon forget. I am so glad that I reached out following a quick search for Safari trip planners because if I could give 10 stars, I would. We deeply appreciated the professionalism, responsiveness, connection and care that Aly took to make our inaugural African trip from the US a dream come true. The planning process was seamless for us, and she perfected a milestone birthday for my husband-- complete with personal touches and preferences. We could not have planned more perfect accomadations, safari tours, cultural tours and transportation logistics between our time in Arusha to the Serengeti to Zanzibar.

You get MUCH more!! Very well coordinated. Met all our request. Not a single step was missed and we had a complicated 14-day itinerary. My only comment would be the authenticity of the Maasai tribe experience. It appeared to be commercialised and we were “duped” (no fault of Brilliant Africa) into purchasing overly priced items they supposedly made, that were only worth maybe $10 vs. $130 we paid. I would recommend skipping this excursion. The experience with the Hadzabe tribe on the other hand, was more authentic especially the opportunity to go on a hunt with them. Very cool.
Overall, we would highly recommend BA!!

I want to personally thank Alyson Morgan, Christine Duke, and Tracy Edwards for creating the best 50th birthday gift I could have ever imagined. The team at Brilliant Africa handled me with so much care that I was sad the trip was ending. The package that was put together for me was beyond my expectations. The arrival to Kenya at Tamarind Tree Hotel to the day trips with the guides (Sheldrick Wildlife Trust) to visit the Elephant Sanctuary, Giraffe Center, and lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Traveling safely to Porini Lion Camp and meeting men from the Masai Mara tribe was amazing. My 50th birthday celebration included a name Ceremony along with a wonderful performance from the Masai men. Let me not forget the adventurous game rides with incredible sunsets. Lastly, Konokono Beach Resort in Zanzibar has unbelievably gorgeous beach views that include a humongous sweet with breathtaking views.

I cannot rate Brilliant Africa high enough in terms of customer service and support in planning our amazing safari holiday to Kenya and Tanzania. Their goal is to provide world-class customer service and they go above and beyond. We knew we wanted to see the migration of the herds across Maasai Mara and Serengeti but no idea how to plan a holiday on this scale in countries we had no knowledge of and Brilliant Africa helped with everything tailoring our safari within our budget. We flew Kenyan Airways business class. Fantastic food, Fantastic staff. We spent the first few days at Sand River in the masai mara before heading to Mara River Post in Serengeti. There is an army of people involved that Brilliant Africa work with to ensure your holiday is seamless from the minute you land to the minute you depart. We are now booking our 2nd trip with Tracy and Aly at Brilliant Africa and will remain a long standing client

An African safari is a unique experience, and having completed this one with Brilliant Africa it’s definitely not something I’d do on my own.

The original booking process was smooth and we felt reassured. However it was the period between booking and departing which really impressed us.

We asked what seemed like a million questions about anything and everything and got proper answers from people who clearly know their destinations

Moreover, we had an anxious time with a delayed flight and couldn’t have asked for a more timely or helpful response. Honestly, we felt like there was a wrapper of security and that someone else was constantly on the lookout for us.

The in country team who looked after us on the journey were exceptional too.

Absolutely recommend Brilliant Africa, we will be using them again for sure.

From beginning to end, Brilliant Africa listen to and worked with me to craft the perfect trip. We went through many iterations with my having to cancel one year because of a broken leg, but the patientience, perseverance, and true desire to help me have a great vacation all worked out very well in the end!

I had been dreaming of a trip to Africa for almost 30 years. When you have been dreaming of something this long, there’s always a little fear that it will not meet your expectations. That fear was unfounded. We just returned from our trip, planned with the help of Aly and her team and it exceeded my dreams. From the careful planning based solely on our wishes, to the personal on-site support that made us feel so special, I can’t imagine any company doing a better job than Brilliant Africa.
We started our 12 day trip at the Beautiful Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, then headed to Tanzania for game drives at 3 different camps. We started at Tarangire National Park, then headed to the Ngorongoro crater, and finally, to the Serengeti for the wildebeest migration. The camps that brilliant Africa recommended were way beyond expectations with the service, the scrumptious food, and especially the game drives with experienced and professional guides. While any trip to Africa would be spectacular, what was so impressive about Brilliant Africa was their involvement in both the planning and execution parts of our trip. Allyson and Tracy from Brilliant Africa were wonderful from our first interaction. They helped us plan our perfect vacation package based on what we wanted to do! Not only did they put together a perfect agenda for our trip to Uganda, but made sure we knew about vaccinations and VISA requirements. They secured all needed permits for chimpanzee and gorilla trekking and even helped us with a suggested packing list! Our vacation was everything that we hoped and planned down to the last detail. They were quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had and were available to us all during our travels as well. Great itinerary and arrangements

My sister and I had an amazing safari in Tanzania and stay in Zanzibar thanks to Brilliant Africa. Tracy consulted us about what we wanted, and she had a big store of knowledge and experience about what was available. Aly worked with us closely from booking to the end of our trip. Their portal was great and full of useful travel information. Everything was worry free because they handled all the details from beginning to end. They got us great deals on luxurious hotels, and partnered with an amazing safari guide who we loved. We will definitely book through them again! This was an epic trip.
