Good experience with purchasing product

I was in the EVGA queue for a 3070 for about half a year when I finally got notified it was my turn to purchase. I ordered with a simple process and received my product within 3 days. Worked perfectly and had no issues. I haven't had the need to contact support so I can't speak to that but the product itself is good quality and works and was simple to purchase (besides the waiting :P)

EVGA and I got too close; is it my fault I feel betrayed?

I have been an EVGA customer since 2008. I have probably built over 40 PCs over that time- for friends, family, and work. Each PC I build has had at least one EVGA product. For the sake of brevity, you could say I have been a devoted supporter and advocate. For years all that I have heard is: "EVGA has the best customer service." However, this year I have had to file and ship a warranty claim. This process has not only taken nearly 2 months to complete, but customer service has minimized my issue, lied to me, and forced me to risk over $3000 while they unprofessionally treat my case.

I imagine the GPU market is a frustrating and stressful place to work right now. This does not mean that you should treat any customer poorly, much less one who you've done business with for 13 years. My RTX 2080 Ti failed, and I went through the standard warranty process. EVGA sent me a defective card. My RMA process was upgraded, and I was sent a second card as part of an 'advanced' warranty replacement. This card was also defective. At this time I reached out to customer service. In addition to expected 'canned' responses, the associate made the mistake of lying to me about having received my RMA'd cards and not being able to reproduce the flaws. Well, unfortunately those cards were actually still in transit according to UPS. I really did not appreciate this mistake, even if it was purely an accident and nothing duplicitous was intended.

I reached out to customer service with what I thought would be a rational resolution to my case, and received some willingness to work out a resolution. However, once I followed up on that resolution, I was again met with the same ignorance and disregard as previously. Moreover, this simply affirmed that they had not listened to previous correspondence at all, and totally disregarded me. So here I sit, less ~$1500, a broken GPU with no return label, awaiting a response from a customer service base that has already lied to me once, and disregarded several other communications, wondering if things will go right.

This is not ok EVGA. You once stood head and shoulders above the competition... offering superior products and service for a reasonable price. However, we can see that the almighty dollar matters more than a loyal customer base to you. The times are tough; and I am just sad to see another company succumb to greed.

HORRIBLE customer service and support

Let me start with I used to love EVGA. I've bought numerous EVGA products over the years and have always been satisfied. However, this experience has soured me forever on their company and I will avoid any future purchases like the plague.

I ordered an 850W PSU from EVGA.com on February 24th, 2021. I received it on March 3rd 2021. I attempted to install it in my computer on Saturday, March 13th. It didn't work at all. The only thing that had power was my memory. The motherboard, fans and video card had no power. I was using the original cables that came with the new PSU so figured it might be a cable issue. I attempted to use different cables to see if that worked, but same thing. No power except memory. I plugged back in my original PSU and everything worked fine. At this point, I realized that I had a bad PSU. On Sunday, March 14th, I put in a support ticket with EVGA. I explained my situation and requested a refund on the product instead of a replacement. I was told that I was not eligible to get a refund because it was already 2 weeks after purchase. I told them that I didn't receive the item in the mail until March 3rd so this should be within the time frame. I should not be penalized for shipping time. I was basically told that it didn't matter when It arrived, it goes from the time I ordered it. I was and still am appalled by this. No other company that I know of does this and it doesn't make any sense. Be that as it may, I'm THEN told that I have to ship the product on my own dime. Now I’m livid. I'm sent a defective product and not only am I not able to get a refund, but I also have to pay to ship it back to the company that sold me the defective item. They then tell me that "IF" the items is defective when they receive it, I could get reimbursed for the shipping. I ship it out and receive a new one a couple of weeks afterwards. I attempt to install it in my computer, and again...same thing. It doesn't work either! I do a cable change to see if it's the cables and still doesn't work. I take it to my office and try it in another computer, and still does not work. At this point, I'm completely done. Not only am I out of the money that I spent for the defective product, but i'm also out $80 for shipping the old one back.

As an IT Manager for over 20 years, I've worked with dozens of vendors for computers parts. I've never had such a horrible experience before while working with any of them. If not for the inexplicable explanation of my not being able to get a refund despite having the item in my possession for less than two weeks, I would've been a happy customer. But the ridiculous refund policy on top of having to again spend my own money to ship back a defective product...only to be sent another defective product, has killed my desire to own anything EVGA. I absolutely abhor sending negative reviews. But in this case, it is 100% warranted.

Graphics card RMA nightmare and terrible customer service

I have had an awful experience with EVGA customer service team and RMA representatives. I sent off my 30 series graphics card for a replacement due to severe coil whine which has now appeared to be lost in the post and EVGA are unable to help in any way apart from asking for the tracking number and relaying the same information I already know back to me which is especially frustrating when having to wait 24-48 hours for each response.

I was told on the phone by the RMA team that EVGA does not cover any customs or import fees which means I was unable to insure the card through transit and I’m now down over £1000 + due to the hike in prices and stock availability. Just to add, I haven’t even given me the option to purchase a replacement card from them at MSRP.

I will always pick EVGA over other…

I will always pick EVGA over other brands where posible. In the last 10 years I've probably spent over £20k with them and only had an issue once, which was easy and painless to sort out - I had a GPU with very noisy fans (constant clicking on each rotation), we went through some troubleshooting over the phone that was pretty good, and ended up uploading a video to youtube for them to see/hear better. They gave me the option to pay a deposit on a new card that they would refund once the old one arrived (understandable for £600 worth of kit), the card I recieved was actually one of the limited editions and had a cool looking back plate too, so very happy with that!

Den dårligste support som jeg nogensinde har oplevet!

Aldrig, jeg mener ALDRIG NOGEN SINDE vil jeg købe produkter med dette mærke igen! For år tilbage havde jeg problemer med en RMA sag netop pga. deres elendige hjemmeside. Den vil jeg slet ikke skrive om her, det er der simpelthen ikke plads til! Men da jeg mistænker mit bundkort for at være defekt, så må jeg ind på min konto for at hente drivere til de produkter som jeg har registeret. Jeg har store problemer med at komme ind med mine oplysninger som jeg VED er korrekte. Da jeg endelig kommer ind, så beder de atter engang om adgangskoder! Jeg kommer endelig ind til min liste af produkter og klikker på Hent Drivere, for så at komme ind på en standard side hvor jeg alligevel skal søge! Jeg er nød til at klikke på min produktliste igen for at få model numrene, for så IGEN! at blive bedt om at logge in!! Bemærk, jeg brugte ikke browser navigationen, NETOP for at undgå at blive logget ud. Vi er i 2021 mand! Hvis ikke man kan overskue at lave en funktionel hjemmeside, så tag dog et kursus eller lade andre om det! Jeg fortryder bitterligt at jeg købte dyr CPU for at vælge at basere min installation på dette mærke! Jeg har kun haft problemer. Og selvfølgelig er det hele forældet til at jeg kan købe et ny bundkort med andet mærke.

UPDATE 17/05/21 Jeg kan nu konstatere at min blå Power LED blinker ukontrolleret på kortet, og garantiperioden udløber om 87 dage. Men kan man logge ind!!?? Uanset hvilken browser jeg bruger, så bliver jeg bedt om at skrive adgangskoden for kun at komme til siden med personlige oplysninger! Hverken RMA info eller hjælp er tilgængelig, jeg bliver henvist til den samme skide login side hver gang, som om siden kører i loop!

Et godt råd: Skal i bygge PC, så hold jer væk fra dette mærke! Det er nemt at tilbyde 10 års garanti når man afskærer kunderne i at komme i kontakt med dem!

EVGA is a Joke now

I sent PSU with RMA printed on the label you provided and EVGA refused to Collect the parcel. I paid 43.92£ from UK to Germany so to be thrown out? I called to EVGA Customer Support in UK and no one answers.

Great products and customer service

Great products and customer service. Quickly resolved my problem, even with Germany being under a lockdown.

The BIG problem was - to get my RMA`d graphics card back I had to pay £148 in customs charges, for some reason. Should have just sold the faulty card.

Poor Experience With EVGA GPUs

Have dealt with EVGA in the past and when cards were in stock and the GPU market wasn't so scarce it seems like their customer support was more than willing to assist their customers, however recently, it appears they don't need loyal customers anymore as their GPU stock is sold out. I purchased a 1080FTW that had to be RMA'd for a 2070 Super. The 2070 Super ended up dying outside of the warranty period. As such, I contacted support who told me there is nothing they can do as the card is out of warranty. I understood so I inquired if there was a way, since the RMA card they gave me died, they could allow me the opportunity to buy a new card from EVGA. I was told I am basically out of luck and to buy off the second-hand market or go to a retailer and hope I get lucky. As such, I will explicitly never buy my PSUs, GPUs, etc. from EVGA going forward. Seems like when scale ramps up all decent companies inevitably struggle to keep customer service in mind.

Terrible quality control of video…

Terrible quality control of video products. Avoid and buy from a company that cares about the quality of their product. They do have good customer support, but the best customer support is not needing support at all. The send me broken card after broken card for two generations now!!!!

Defective product. Non responsive customer service.

2 months of waiting for a 3080 ftw3 ultra. Finally get it, card is defective, getting destroyed by an ASUS TUF. artifacts appearing. Email customer support, contact them through Facebook, and DM one of their representatives on reddit. NO RESPONSE. So after a few days I returned my card. Its now been 2 weeks. Still no response. Card is already gone and replaced with an Asus strix pre-order. Combined with 2 defective power sources in a row I could not be more done with EVGA.

They handled the RTX Fiasco well

I've typically purchased EVGA products through other vendors. Not even intentionally -- I just always looked for the graphics card (typically) that I wanted, and almost always I've ended up with an EVGA because they had good reviews and were at the right price point.

Anyway, anyone who wanted an Nvidia RTX 30X0 card this year knows what a hassle it has been to get one. Places like Newegg and Amazon are sold out instantly, and the cards go up on eBay for up to double the price due to the abundance of scalpers buying all the stock out with bots.

EVGA implemented a program where you could register on their site to get in line for an RTX. One per customer. As a result, I ended up getting an RTX 3080 at a standard price, fairly promptly (admittedly I signed up fast.)

There was even a problem with my account the day I received the notice (you'd get a ~12 hour window from the notification via email in order to actually complete your purchase, since the products are in demand), so I called their customer support and they were extremely helpful and nice.

Anyway, I ultimately got my card, and all is well.

I just really appreciate the fact that they clearly cared about their customers feeling like they had a chance to get a card from them fairly, instead of just caring about making that initial sale and then being done with the whole thing.

Great company.

I spend in excess of 10k$ on EVGA…

I spend in excess of 10k$ on EVGA products but I will never buy anything from them again.

They used to be a good company but it seems they are now thieves. They want to charge me 322$ to refund a product that I received damaged and covered in thermal paste.

I bougth 2 top of the line 3090 rtx from them and a nvlink from them (a whopping 5341$ CAD purchase). I received one of the card covered in thermal paste (a toxic product you should not get on your skin BTW). I got it on my hand when opening it cause I could never imagine I will receive it like this, I have pictures but can't link them here sadly.

One of the heatsink blades was also bent. Which leaves me to believe the card was not handle with all the care a 2,461$CAD(including custom and shipping) card should be handled with...

To top it off those 2 cards (2 RTX 3090 FTW3 and XC3) can't be linked with the nvlink cause their nvlink connector do not align!!! So I asked them if they could refund me for the damage card so I can buy a second FTW3 which is a higher price product and I will pay the shipping and difference in price. But they are asking me for 322$ in restocking fee which in my book is just pure theft!!!

Their communication is really bad, you have to resubmit a support ticket each time you want to reply and it seems each time a different person answer. One told me they would do the exchange without restocking fee but the next one said no.

And it's not even finished: they shipped the nvlink connector to the wrong postal code (I checked and on my invoice it was the good one) so UPS sent it in another city and I haven't received it yet, I need to call UPS and contact EVGA so they ask UPS to correct the postal code.

I am now seeing with my lawyers what I can do to get my money back.

Cheap decent stuff, just dont break it

So I ordered an rtx 2060 ko ultra, it's good for my 1080p gaming setup but it has horrible coil whine, like so horrible, like I want to return it and get a new one. And speaking of returning, I also got my power supply from them, the power supply that broke in 4 weeks with around 4 to 5 hour play sessions every other day. I submitted my tech support request 5 days ago and called today but still no answer. Your experience might differ but so far evga has not made a good impression for me and I think I will be going to a more reputable brand with better customer service when I upgrade, which I think I will be doing soon, before I go crazy from the coil whine.
