Good price, the quality of clothing is good, and delivery is reasonably quick. The top had hairs, obviously from a previous return, but the items were sale items. No issues with the company, will continue to use and recommend.

These people are extremely dubious; I'm currently involved in a battle to recover the £78 it cost me to purchase a pair of cycling trousers.
Two weeks on and still no trousers; they are either very inefficient, or a scam.

Very good service but the delivery was a little “leisurely”.

Customer service is very poor. I returned items 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a refund. They also charge you a restocking fee.

I was apprehensive about ordering after reading reviews. But I ordered ski googles and they where delivered to the UK in four working days. I will definitely use Alpine Trek again.

Good prices and good communication re delivery

Currently being fobbed off with regards to sending a parcel back with several coats (keeping 2, wanting to send others back). They are claiming there is an error at Royal Mails end, to which they have confirmed there isnt. Do NOT order. Will be taking this up with my bank.

I’ve ordered a pair of mountaineering trousers from them. Ordering was smooth and easy, delivery was on time and very well packaged. The trousers are also amazing…as this company! Totally recommended 👍

Do not use this company if you think you may need to return!!
Posted back goods (tracked) as requested, goods delivered to their English warehouse 2 days later.
After 33 days, various phone calls and emails to company, I had to get my bank to step in to recover £300.
Will NEVER use this company again, rude staff who are obviously trained to fob people off!!
Be warned

I ordered a pair of M4 Anon Toric ski goggles from alpine trek and after realising I had ordered the wrong lens option, I needed low light lenses for my upcoming trip to japan, I wanted to cancel my order. Having ordered on a Sunday night I couldn't call customer support to rectify my order until 10 am on Monday. I called as soon as the phone lines opened and was told that I could not cancel my order as I had missed the grace period. I asked what the grace period was and was promptly told 5-15 minutes... I have been advised my only option is to wait 5-7 working days for my order to be shipped to the UK from Germany and then I will have to pay a returns fee and send them all the way back. This seems ridiculous as it incurs extra charges for me and for the company and is terrible for the environment shipping items back and forth globally for no reason. Surely there is a way to cancel an order that has not been dispatched yet? I was assured by customer support that this was technically impossible!!! So much for German efficiency. I have to say I'm very dissapointed and will not be ordering from Alpine Trek again.

Excellent from initial order to delivery. Great communications, reasonably quick delivery, everything straightforward.

Warning for anyone using Klarna with an order that is split by Alpinetrek because one item (eg, trekking poles) is too 'bulky':

Your 'orders' page on your account will not show the bulky item as 'awaiting despatch', it will just be a single order with a confusing process as the entire order is fulfilled. Your invoice pdf will only show the items that are despatched earlier BUT the total fee to pay will show the entire order. The Klarna invoice will be even more confusing, as they take Klarna payments immediately but Klarna make it look as if you are having your order partially cancelled. As your order is eventually fulfilled, the invoices will just be additive and the Klarna notifications will also just be additive, as if you have made one order on top of another and not as if you have only made one order. Hope that makes sense. Oh, and there is no way of finding out from Alpinetrek or Klarna if your order is partially cancelled or not, you just have to wait and see. It is not like Amazon, where the order is broken down into the 'despatched' and 'not-yet-despatched' categories. It is all a bit backward.

After reading reviews, made me question whether i want to order from this company, but i thought lets risk it.
If you are aware that this company is in Europe and know that deliveries and returns will take longer than if you ordering in the UK. You will be fine. Order been delivered, customer service responded to my emails when questioned them (didn't wait long for response) and refund been issued without any problems. Of course had to wait a little longer due to customs etc. But i was aware of this.

I ordered a Patagonia climbing holdall that turned out to be too large- the returns process was quick and easy.. and the smaller sized holdall was delivered no problem/ confusion.

I am not usually one for complaining, but my experience with this company has been so bad that I feel the need to let others know. First of all, I had no idea how long the delivery was going to take, nor was I aware that this company is based in Germany. Given that I no longer live in the UK and was only visiting friends and family, I would never have ordered from them had I known this.

They only informed me after I placed my order that delivery would take far too long. Around 15 minutes after placing the order, I contacted them to cancel it, but I was told it was already too late and that there was nothing they could do. This was the first red flag. Accepting the mistake I had made, I waited for the parcel to be delivered to the UK address, but it arrived one month late.

During the phone conversation I had with them shortly after placing the order, I was told that I could return the parcel and receive a refund. However, their system is so poor that the only way to return the item appears to be via a form that is supposedly included with the delivery — which it wasn’t. After contacting customer support for the fourth time, they finally sent me a link to print a form, only for it to state that the return form is enclosed with the delivery.

I am now at my wits’ end and have accepted that I have lost £105. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay well away from this company. I am doing everything I can to report this company as a total scam.
