I have been looking for a Jack Wolfskin Jacket to replace one that I have owned for several years and found what I was looking for on the Alpinetrek website.
I knew the company was based in Germany, this didn't worry me initially. After purchasing the product having seen some of the reviews on Trust Pilot I was worried that I may have made a mistake and that I would never recieve the product.
I am glad to report that having ordered on Friday, the jacket arrived today. I was exactly what I ordered, the correct size and a very good price point - I am totally happy with the service and the product.

The retailer despite having a .co.uk website is actually based in Germany, which i found very misleading whist this doesn't cause me a problem it meant that delivery was longer than expected and was only evident after the order was placed and paid for and there was no option for a quicker delivery.

I did expect the delivery earlier and had to buy another coat for my holiday as it did not arrive before I left.

Delayed, wrong colour, impossible to contact. The usual Artifical Incompetence, (tick box technology). The designers never considered they might make a mistake. Don't touch with a very long pole. You could shorten your life in frustration.

The website was easy to navigate with a good choice of the item I was looking for and reasonable prices. From ordering I was kept informed of the progress of my order which arrived as promised and well packaged.

I made 2 orders. The first gave me the wrong size. The second was delivered to the wrong address and I still don’t have it.

Here is what they don't tell you on the website. If you decide to return an order, it will take two weeks for Royal Mail, the return service they advise you to use, to deliver the package to Aylesbury. It will then sit there for up to 21 days waiting to clear customs. It will then take up to an additional 15 days for the company to process the return and issue your refund. These figures are taken from their correspondence with me.

So if you are thinking of ordering something because you want to try it on and are unsure whether you're going to keep it, be prepared not to see your money again for a good six weeks or longer.

I will not be ordering from them again.

I ordered a Patagonia parka jacket with a 30% discount on 7 February. After reading trust pilot reviews Shortly after placing the order, I had second thoughts and emailed to cancel. However, I was told that cancellation was not possible and that I would need to wait until the item arrived and then request a refund. I also contacted my bank the next day, but they advised they could not stop the payment and suggested waiting 14 days.

On the positive side, the seller provided regular parcel updates, and the jacket arrived on 14 February, which was reasonably fast. The product itself was as described and in good condition.

Although I initially planned to return it, the return process seemed a bit cumbersome, so I decided to keep the jacket. Overall, while the delivery and product quality were good, the cancellation and return flexibility could be improved to give customers more confidence when ordering.
