Yesterday my hair straighteners failed to work when switched on. I was obviously pessimistic, and thought well they must be several years old, and I will have to replace them but changed the fuse, and joy, and they sprang back to life. They have been a wonderful buy, with the auto switch off feature, and now must be approximately 5 years old, great buy. Model S 5525 Pro-ceramic.

Stopped Working After Weeks – Waste of Money
Got this RX7 as a Christmas gift. From the start it irritated my skin but get away, then after a month it stopped holding charge and later cut out mid-shave even when fully charged. Tried wet shaving and new blades (£30 extra) – no improvement. Spent £100 for maybe 25 shaves. No spares or battery replacements available.

Update: I alredy reported this directly to you first respond from you after 5 days asked for all info which aleedy was in first message and you say if have no respond in 2 days it mean for you that I don't need your help any more very comfortable for you, not smart at all in my view. I make sure no-one i know will make my mistake.

My original review is as shown below and was for one star. After the review Remington have gone above and beyond to rectify the situation and have supplied a new shaver to replace the faulty item. They have been very helpful and hence my update due to now being satisfied.

I purchased a Remington shaver from Lidl during a special offer. Basically useless from day one and after ten months would not charge / hold charge. Having registered purchase I tried to reister its failure as part of the three year warranty. The Remington website to make a claim is very user unfriendly and will not upload the documents to prove purchase. They then informed me that as the shaver is less than one year old I must take it back to Lidl and Quote a reference number to prove I have contacted Remington. What a useless and terrible way to treat customers. I want the shaver fixed or replaced and they do not want to help in any way. Rubbish service and totally unhelpful. Don't buy anything from Remington as the warranty etc is a joke

What a useless shaver the Remington RX7 head shaver is.

I bought one from Argos and within 4 months it stopped working. Gave the blade head a good clean still no good.

Changed at Argos for another and now that one has stopped working for exact same problem.

Sent proof of purchase and photos to Remington UK they said if possible they will repair it but that will take 4 weeks to repair!!!

Remington Customer Service quote "Once received, the product will be analysed for any malfunctions by our technicians and, if possible, repaired. Please note that this process can take up to 4 weeks"

Hello its a head shaver so now I cant shave my head for 4 weeks! They are forcing you to buy another head shaver.

Oh Remington you are useless and I am steering clear of your razors and advise others to too.

So, I had a reply from customer services and their answer was that these straighteners go up in 20 degree increments and with no mention of the potential hazard with them pinching palm when using them.
I have added their online description of these straighteners below and there is no mention of this setting. It does say 5 settings but, this is misleading!

Been using the Remington quick cut pro for just over a year cuts my hair perfectly how I want it unfortunately the device stopped working due to a battery fault thankfully I had a 3 year guarantee when purchased so when I contacted Remington they were happy to help and within a week I had a new replacement device free of charge I was really happy with there support.

Genuinely one of the simplest and efficient customer service experiences.
Had a fault with what has been an amazing shaver. A few (very quick) emails later, tried their suggestions for a fix, no good. Quick video via a link sent to me, straight to them. Next day, assessed, concluded and replacement sent. Very impressed

Twice the shaver has become faulty and although it has been repaired under warranty it begs the question of quality with there products.
I hope this is the last repair and I get some quality use of the shaver,otherwise I will not be buying Remington again.

Replacement arrived speedily, great customer service. I always buy Remington shavers as they are excellent at doing their job and have a full 2 year guarantee if registered online shortly after purchase.

I purchased a new Remington RX7 Ultimate Shaver via Amazon UK. My disappointment with the product is probably influenced by a bad experience with PitBull and the quality of their shaver and complete lack of customer service. Being realistic, things go wrong. However, for this shaver to stop working and display flashing lights, with no reference in the instructions to what the flashing lights mean, is not helpful. Fortunately, I am less than 30 days into the purchase. My quandary now is, do I get a replacement or do I try another manufacturer. I would love to give a proper review but I have only used it once and that was a brief shave.
