I needed a full refund as my train…
I needed a full refund as my train was cancelled by the operator. My enquiry was answered promptly, efficiently and with courtesy by Richie.
I've always used Split My Fare, as they are more reasonably priced than other train operators. Would highly recommend.

Booked tickets with Split My Fare doing…
Booked tickets with Split My Fare doing my usual route to RAF Cosford. It ended up I booked the tickets for the wrong date (human error) I immediately found out when I turned up at the station and they didn’t work. Reached out immediately to the team and an excelling young man called Richie supported me in getting the refund and reassured that it’s on its way. He neutralised a very panicked situation. A credit to split my fare.

Don’t expect any help if things don’t work out as planned
As you can see from Founder Pete’s responses this company really don’t care about their customers. They are clearly devoid of any empathy or common sense and are T&C Nazis who just love to point out something in the small print. I’ve used them for a few months but no longer after my recent experience.
Their website is useful to plot the cheapest route and best fare break points but if you need to use delay repay or make amendments/ get refunds for part journeys then you are much better having bought your ticket through the relevant train company. So, I’ll be using their website site to plot the cheapest route but then buying elsewhere in future!

We very much care about our customers, which is why many of our 5 star reviews mention our great customer service.
In your situation, you requested a refund of your tickets, only flexible tickets are refundable, advance tickets are not. With refunds, we have to follow the National Terms & Conditions regarding this and you would find the same rules regarding refunds of non refundable advance tickets with any ticket retailer you use.

It took a couple of emails to explain why I was asking for a refund but once the situation was understood, I received a prompt promise to pay.
Richie was quick to reply and made the situation easy to resolve.

I made a error on the booking paid £45.76 Refund £5.70
I booked my journey for the 29th May Wakefield Liverpool return same day£45.76
But made a error i booked the return for the 30th May
So re booked again exactly the same £ 45.52
The filled in the refund form saying i had booked the wrong return .
I got a re fund i think same day £5.70 disgrace wont be using this again there are others sites about.

I have checked, and unfortunately you processed your refund incorrectly, choosing to claim a refund only for the refundable flexible tickets instead of claiming the refund value of the tickets using a replacement booking. The refund value is reconfirmed back to you several times before it is submitted to avoid such an error.

It was easy to book with them and the…
It was easy to book with them and the tickets were much cheaper than elsewhere.
I had to cancel my journey though because of the extreme heat and they refunded me within 10 minutes of sending my email, no questions asked. They were very efficient. Will use them again.
