Answered promptly and resolved my problems

I sent a query to the customer service after receiving an email that the fourth train of five making up a journey was cancelled. The wording about my options was ambiguous. I got an immediate response from an agent, agreeing it wasn't terribly clear and giving me a new itinerary. In this age of bots and wordy meaningless scripts, it felt great to deal with a human being who was happy and empowered to help.

We were one of many people who had to leave a cancelled festival early. I got new train tickets and did not use my prebooked ones. I submitted my request for a refund within the time window and was asked to submit further information by forwarding an email. I did this promptly but they then claimed it did not contain all the information. It did. The email thread retained an auto email at the top so I missed a further request. They refused to refund after this, saying I had failed to submit in time, when in fact they had just not read the email correctly.

Contrary to their reply below, I did in fact get all the information from the email I had forwarded to them. It was all present.

Supportive when you seek help and no-nonsense refunds

First time using this company and after contacting them about our seat reservations, I was blown away with their level of amazing customer service. Adam replied to me really quickly and was so lovely. He helped me change my seat reservations for our outbound and inbound journey and helped reassure me about it all. Adam really went above and beyond when assisting me, way above my expectations. I wish all customer service was to this standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company and Adam is fantastic!

What makes it more remarkable is that when I have needed to change or amend a ticket it’s actually a person that helps you rather than some awful bot or AI.
This morning Jonathan sorted out a refund for some tickets we needed to cage. I didn’t need to go online or onto a webchat and spend hours waiting. He asked a couple if questions to confirm the details and then just sorted out the refund. It’s remarkable in this day and age and TrainSplit remains the model that others ought to follow. The people at TrainSplit are all friendly and helpful. Honestly it’s a really good organisation from this customer’s perspective. Thanks to Jonathan!

A very efficient way of checking prices and times, and a great system for booking. Familiarity is requied to successfully navigate your way around in order to get the optimum option, but I;ve been using the app for several years now, and it always works well for me.

Due to plans changing minute to minute I had to change travel plans and then also got replacement ticket dates all wrong too. Pam sorted it all quickly and with explanation where appropriate.

I had panic late afternoon when trying to find confirmation of my travel the following day. It was 5.15 and the Customer Service closed at 5.30 so I was extremely pessimistic that I would get a response in time. To my delighted surprise I got an almost immediate response and within a short time my booking was found and confirmation sent to me. Excellent customer service!

Booked tickets for wrong day, refund app was easy and brilliant to use. In addition I had emailed customer service in the evening. By the morning I already had a response even though I’d told them I’d sorted it. Excellent customer service and great refund tool for numpties like me that book the wrong date for my journey!
