My problems with TrainPal
On the face of it, a rival to Trainline must be a good thing and I signed up having bought a Senior Railcard last October. I an still trying to download my Senior Railcard despite the help of my daughter.There is no helpline, the App is not as easy to use as Trainline, and I am not sure the silly time-wasting spin games (with the promises - unfulfiilled -of cash prizes) is a great selling point.

Really poor
Really poor. Purchased a friends & family rail card via “TrainPal”, yet it never applies the 1/3 discount. However, my husband has purchased his family & friends card via Trainline & 1/3 discount applied automatically. Same train journey is showing as £9 dearer for me on “TrainPal” than Trainline. Frustrated as card is showing as “active”, yet not being recognised. Really poor customer service as I won’t renew & husband is buying my tickets via his app.

Fatevi del bene: evitate assolutamente trainpal
A tutto oggi dopo tre settimane mi dicono di avermi rimborsato quando i soldi del rimborso io non li ho ricevuti!!! Usate i canali ufficiali, trainpal fa perdere tempo non emette il biglietto con cui dovevate viaggiare e che dovrete comprare da un altra parte spendendo quindi il doppio....il biglietto non l' ho ricevuto e i soldi del rimborso non li ho mai ricevuti... fatevi del bene: evitate trainpal.

The app does not work properly
The app does not work properly. It only remembers some of the settings, (so if you find a ticket and don’t complete the transaction ) you need to check very carefully that the date is correct!!! Otherwise you’ll end up having to buy another ticket because the system changed my date to a week in the future but remembered where I was going so I didn’t check! Oh and when I had to buy a different ticket it home I bought a specific train cos I knew when I wanted to travel however, I paused to talk about whether I could swap my ticket but not a chance. So I then went back to the which had apparently‘remembered’ the ticket I wanted but it didn’t because it changed to a later train (which was a stopping one) Great! Just what I wanted! For this reason I will never use the app again to buy a ticket and I definitely don’t recommend it!

They give you all these discount codes just to lure you and when you go on their website/app the tickets are exactly the same price or more expensive than other platforms. Also they decline your cashback.

I bought a senior rail card and I've never been able to find it in my account, neither on the app or online.
Can't get in touch with them, they don't even have a chat bot. Instead, in their 'Help' section they offer 'a few' pre-typed options and FAQs which have no relevance at all to particular needs.
I've wasted my money as I can't use the rail card I purchased.
Will never use again!

This company are scammers
This company are scammers, contact customer service to change time, guys told me to buy a new ticket and they would refund my old one, bought a new ticket which is over £120 contacted them for the refund and got told I can't get one, now im stuck with 2 tickets that cost me £250 for both, customer service is pathetic. Just put you round and round in circles untill you give up, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Use trainline a respected company

Money Saver
The app is wasy to use and crucially Trainpal does save you money. We saved £60 on 2 return tickets to Gatwick from Wiltshire recently.
Now my 'go to' when booking train travel.

Very good train app. Better than Trainline imo. They actually help you out if you’ve messed up too which is great. Sometimes the app freezes for me. Also, if booking Avanti then you are frequently assigned seats separately from the people you are travelling with, where Avanti direct let you book together.

I have a trainpal refund that im still…
I have a trainpal refund that im still waiting on since January i have submitted all the tickets they requested i send via post and it was signed at their office. My bank tried contacting them and in no vain i lost £66:00 just cause their own train was delayed and i was charged cause of that. I dont appreciate that till now on my app its just saying still Refunding and ni refund was given back to me. I dont know whom to speak to till now..
