I was looking to buy a pair of Shimano pedals and did a quick Google search for my nearest bike shop having been off the bike for a few years and a bit out of touch. I was happy to find bikeparts on my doorstep. Although they are predominantly mail order they can also prepare your order for collection. I chose to collect the pedals and had a email shortly after placing my order to confirm they were ready to collect. The price seemed fair and the pedals work perfectly!

Service has really slipped, 3 to 5 days to despatch items that show in stock butbare clearly being drop shipped, customer service is a bot, takes 4 days to get a human interactio

I am sorry that we have let you down with your recent order. We stock over 100,000 different items in our warehouse but unfortunately sometimes we do have stock errors etc.
I have been through the messages you sent and the AI agent did hand over to a customer services agent who replied to 2 of your messages, it seems that you did not receive them for some reason, perhaps they went to your junk folder.

Although your prices are great your communication with your customer was very poor.
If items are in stock but have to be shipped from one location to another before it can be shipped this should be told to the customer.
Most people would think that an in stock item would be shipped same day or next.
Mine took over a 5 day and when the item came in it was not shipped when they said but later.
Non of which was communicated to me in any way.

Good afternoon Robert, I am sorry that we have let you down with the order, I have looked at the details and it was ordered on the 10th and dispatched on 13th and with you on the 14th. We do state a 2-3 day shipping service, most items being sent Royal Mail Tracked 48, any delayed orders are upgraded to Royal Mail Tracked 24 to cut down any further delays for the customer. I apologise again for the slow dispatch time and for the lack of communication around this as you should have been called or emailed to notify you of the delay.
