It is always a pleasure to choose a new air rifle with advice from R&C. As a bit of a fuss-pot I do tend to dither a bit before buying. I now have the lightweight, gorgeous, easy-to-use rifle that I set out to search for.

I now only ever buy from Range & Country. I am a bit of a collector and in particular I appreciate a fine-looking gunstock. R&C lost a sale by guiding me through the beech stocks of the HW77 and helping me realise that I was unlikely to find a really high grade one.

I am shocked (in a good way!) that they resisted a sale because I do now agree the beech HW77 shouldn't be the next rifle for my collection.

They have recently begun sending those "failed credit card" emails that all digital/internet services do once a subscriber dies. From other internet firms, I have received several very aggressive "how dare you cancel our monthly fees" type messages, Fasthosts send polite and gentle reminders. This attitude is very much appreciated when you have just lost your partner and have no idea how to cancel their online subscriptions.

My partner was a big fan of this company and its services. Until he died on 27 July. Since then, the company continue to debit monthly fees despite being told of their customer's decease. Be sure to share your account details with your family so they can try to navigate the painful, slow and obtuse process of account closure.

Lovely pies with some really interesting fillings. I found a piece of blue thread embedded in one pie crust and they said they'd look at it and report back.

Here we are, some weeks later, and they've decided to tell me nothing.

Why are all your replies invariably "I can look into this"? You offered to look into this several weeks ago and then went dark.

I ordered the highly-regarded NP-15 in white, before the 2pm cut-off time for next-day delivery. It didn't arrive next day, and there was no confirmation of despatch, and no confirmation of it being in transit, nor any updates concerning expected delivery or "out for delivery" alerts.

Yamaha London agreed I could cancel, leaving me free to buy locally. However, it did finally turn up and we still haven't sorted out whether they are collecting it or I'm returning it. I did then ask if I might pay to exchange it for the equally gorgeous NP-35 but I got no answer to that question, either! So I now have two NP-15 keyboards. Its a good job I love them!

I received an instant acceptance for my 0% deal on a Tag Heuer. When the retailer tempted me with a model 50% costlier, Novuna swiftly cancelled my agreement and offered me a new one. When I was forced to return that watch due to it being not quite right Novuna swiftly cancelled that agreement.

Most impressively, while I was in the process of returning the watch, Novuna replied to my emails using real people who were immensely friendly and positive.

My ProPilot X with salmon dial is a keeper. The dial fills most of the 39mm case (fairly thin bezel) and is wonderfully low on text and free of other clutter so it's easy to see the time at a glance. The titanium case and bracelet keeps things light. The crown is chunky and grippy, and the winding action easy and buttery smooth. I love that Oris have developed their own movement that can run for five days with excellent timekeeping. My example runs perfectly well.

I am shocked to learn from earlier reviewers that Oris will give me appalling aftercare should I need it. Their comments are so negative that I suspect I would have struck Oris from my shortlist had I read them before going watch shopping. Their lack of engagement with owners is particularly worrying.

I had to give Oris five stars because, of course, I am rating my experience and not that of others!

So easy to log in every year when my car insurance is due. My £520 renewal quote was quickly beaten with a £295 offer from Churchill. I love that go compare stores my history and details so I can find new quotes without endless form-filling.

Friendly, punctual drivers who deliver great quality provisions. Waitrose Breaded Chunky Cod is tip-top quality. Honourable mentions for their No. 1 Coffee & Caramel cake, store-finished croissants and their Indian ready meals.

The compulsory Waitrose weekly newspaper is sometimes quite a hefty affair and thus a big enviro cost. I can't be rude to my lovely driver and hand it back so it goes straight in the bin once they've left. A tick-box on the Order Page would resolve this.

Gatwards of Hitchin tempted me with a great price on a new watch and it arrived next day. I had concerns about how to activate the manufacturer's warranty and Gatwards replied to my email straight away with all the information I needed. A perfect transaction!

I bought a 12-month subscription to International Piano, starting with the September 2022 issue. I recently received an email from International Piano asking me to renew because my subscription is only until the March 2023 issue. I have a screenshot to show I purchased specifically a 12-month subscription from the WH Smith website so I do feel deceived - I could have purchased at much better subscription rates elsewhere had I known the 12-month subscription was in fact just 6-months.

The AA informed the deceased that they would auto-renew his car policy. As Executor, I sent the letters back marked 'deceased'. Nonetheless, the AA helped themselves to his premium five months after he'd died.

AMJ had exactly the watch I wanted on a great finance offer and they delivered it pronto!

My second retailer-funded interest-free purchase of a watch using Barclays. Very brief, easy application process with an immediate decision. Online account access for those who like to keep track of their repayments and balance.

'Delivered to shed'. Hopefully, someone will find my package in their shed and pop it round to me. Unless they live in the next town in which case I am hoping for too much.

Blimey. Even their admin team is so rushed they misread what my complaint was. My parcel is somewhere in a stranger's shed!

I was so excited when Blancpain HQ told me Bucherer might have the watch model I am seeking. I have had some very swift and polite emails from Bucherer - their attentiveness easily reflecting their boutique, rather than shop, status.

Seven days ago I asked if they could supply that Blancpain watch but I have yet to receive any reply. It would have taken only a moment to say 'sorry, that model has sold out' or 'that watch doesn't qualify for our 0% finance facility'.

So, rather a mixed bag. When they reply, its a pleasure to read their helpful and relevant emails. But you can sometimes be overlooked and receive no reply at all.

I paid £139.98 for "No Listing Fees - 15 Free Photos - Free Uploads to Google Shopping".

In fact, more than 1 photo and all uploads to google shopping must be paid for via 2% sales commission. The benefits box on their front page is not the list of benefits that your £139.98 membership brings - it is a mishmash of benefits depending on whether you upgrade to a 2% sales commission or not.

I found their list of benefits horribly misleading. Even now I know the true position, and can now read their list with insight, I think the list remains very liable to mislead potential subscribers.
