Bought The Chicken and Mushroom Big One, serves 3.
I had 1/3 of pie and found only one piece of chicken. My husband experienced the same. Very sparsely filled, and lots of pastry. Very disappointing. Would never buy again.

No meat in their chicken and mushroom pies. Just goopy sludge. Poor poor quality. I will never buy their pies again. Its a disgrace that it should even be allowed to be sold to consumers in the UK. Rip off!

I bought my first Pukka Steak Pie today and the meat in it wouldn't have filled a thimble, it will be my last Pukka Pie

Pukka pies are delicious but tried these pukka sausage rolls first time today and they taste of nothing im shocked. Thrown in the bin so bad. Pastry ok but sausage meat no flavour at all and found 2 lumps of hard grizzle in one. Cant believe such a poor product from such a well known name

This is the end of pukka pies no meat gravy not bad but buying a meat pie not a gravy pie

I find their Beef and Onion pasties are now horrible no taste at all anymore, lacking something, just horrible.
I won't buy anymore of these, terrible.
Why change anything when nothing was wrong in the first place, go back to how they were.

I would like to add that your Cornish Pasty has less filling and a yellow look to the now Stodgy Pastry.
To me Pukka Pies are no long Pukka Pies - Terrible Horrible.

I find with Pukka Pies there is no meat just a mix of meat adatives in a substance i call sludge won't buy this second rate product ever again

Just like Frey bentos both were good back in the day with a good full filling but not now almost unbelievable what they get me with selling these days

Just had the new family mince beef and onion pie, not again it was was quite tasteless, sludgy grey filling , and very much filling at all, normally love pukka pies but this one is awful, why is so little filling, just awful pukka need to look at that recipe

Was looking forward to a chicken and mushroom pie this evening. Never had a Pukka Pie before. Smelt good, looked good- how wrong I was. No mushrooms and two tiny pieces of chicken. Won’t be buying again. Bad advertising.

I had an all steak pie the other week and it was full of fresh air and the smallest amount of filling you could think of so I rang up customer service and was giving a voucher so I thought I would give them another go and WOW what a mistake that was the Chicken and mushroom pie was exactly like the all steak pie the filling was missing in action I have eaten pukka pies now for years and this will be the last time i ever eat another one

Please put some meat content in your pies. The pastry is almost inedible. When your pies first came onto the market they were the best. Sorry I have to write this review.

I bought the jerk chicken pukka pie all I could taste was the pastry I thought it might have been a mishap so I tried another one exact same I only tasted the pastry cos the filling was sparse I would have given this no stars but had to put 1 to progress

I am so disappointed in the Chicken and Mushroom Pukka pie I had today.
These pies used to be the bees knees of pies....lots of tasty chicken and chunky mushrooms.....not anymore.....now bland and lack of filling....just pastry!!

Very good response from Pukka...issues I had addressed very quickly thank you Kirsty.

We purchased 2 different pukka pies
One was creamy steak the other one was chicken pie ooops did I write chicken and steak what chicken and steak all what was inside just gravey in both no meat of any kind in both as we paid well over £2.00 each we expect from very cheap pies but not pukka pies we both learned our lesson we will never buy pukka again what a disgrace their pies from now we shall buy supermarkets brand at least we know what in side so very disappointed in pukka pies

I give two stars as the Gravy in the ALL STEAK pies we bought was really nice , just a shame there was next to no steak in it , certainly not like the packaging suggested , tiny pieces of meat that small that you only knew they were there if you sucked the gravy through your teeth 🤦‍♂️I guess for a £1 each you get what you pay for .

PUKKA Please don`t respond as I am not really bothered about contacting you about 2 £1 pies , I left the review due to disappointment rather than annoyance.

I included the term regular customer to show that this isn't a one off, this is a consistent decline in quality.

I've been buying Pukka slices for years now, I travel a lot and always buy them as Airport food, as well as a quick snack now and then. And the decline in quality has been evident for a while now.

At first it was smaller things like removing the convenient cardboard insert to help with eating on the go, but the actual slice remained the same.

But the last couple of years the amount of filling has been getting reduced little by little, to the point that now they feel like 70/30 - 80/20% pastry to filling. And I actually find that unpleasant to eat. It's dry and it's bland.

Im autistic and tend to stick to familer foods, I think that's the only reason I've stuck with buying Pukka slices for so long, but that has meant, however, that for the last year, every time I've bought one I thought "maybe the last one was just bad, maybe this'll have more filling" only for it to have even less than last time.

To the point that now, I got a steak slice with one and a half bits of steak, barely any gravy, and a chicken and bacon slice that felt like eating cardboard there was so little filling.

I'm aware that so many companies are commuting shrinkflation atm, Pukka aren't unique, but they are a more egregious example imo.

For example, gingsters recently introduced a new range that's similar to the slices called pockets, I've been buying the Chinese salt and pepper pocket, and despite the fact it's smaller than the Pukka slices, it has WAY more filling and is cheaper to reflect the size.

There are now much better alternatives out there.

I'm also aware that customers are way more likely to leave feedback for a negative experience than for a positive one, but many food companies still manage to have a good rating here despite that, take one look at the recent reviews.

They all say the same thing for a reason...

Absolutely horrible steak and kidney pie. In small writing I noted that it said something like 'Minced Kidney' and you begin to wonder why. There was no taste of kidney at all and they must have minced it so finely it may have disappeared into the gravy. Never again. If this is the quality of their pies it couldn't be lower. Avoid at all costs
