Applied for an insurance quote after being a AA member for years . Having just bought a very economical 2015 ford ka with good security etc ,full no claims bonus and a clean insurance record . Very disappointing quote was more than double my existing ford focus insurance!!! I won't bother again ! That's what loyalty gets you.

Simple and easy to use to get set up

I chose AA because it was the best price with a Breakdown cover option. When I looked at the documents online I realised that the £25 I’d paid for breakdown only covered me for 1 call out per year. Whilst there was an option to upgrade the breakdown cover before buying the insurance I had no idea the level of cover I was buying only covered one call out. If it had been made clear before buying the policy I might have gone elsewhere. I’m currently working up the strength to start a conversation with a human rather than a ‘Chat bot’ in order to find out how much more I’d have to pay in order to not be so limited. I’ve only just taken out the policy so have no idea what the insurance/breakdown will be like in the unfortunate event I need to use it.
