Excellent service from start to finish. Easy ordering online then DB Domestics phoned us to confirm the delivery date - they install then take away the old appliance free of charge. Our new tumble dryer works really well. Superb local business - we always use DB Domestics for our white goods orders.

No longer 'proud as a peacock'. Our Wickes kitchen fitted Feb 2025 has proved unfit for purpose and the warranty has proved completely worthless. So, our 24K kitchen problems: within 4 months the compact laminate worktop, sold as super tough, had chipped. The warranty team insisted it was 'impact damage', without inspection and no offer made to repair it. As far as we're concerned we did not chip it. Our worktop is NOT super tough.
The Carysil hot tap filter lid popped off, flooding the kitchen. Again, not covered, but it caused more problems (read below).
The Wickes flooring, sold to us as waterproof (we double-checked this due to leaks with a previous kitchen), is NOT due to the Carysil filter leak. We now have to pay £700 to claim on our insurance as the flooring is ruined, as is the sub-floor (the fridges now lean towards each other as the floor is damaged).
The third, and only problem covered under warranty is the section of under-cupboard lights that stopped working. Even that didn't go smoothly, as the warranty team sent the wrong lighting strip , which the electrician had to cobble together.
Our (in our opinion) sub-standard kitchen has lost its shine - it only took 4 - 7 months before it fell apart. Wickes warranty team took months over our claim and rejected most of our concerns as our fault. THEY WERE NOT 🤬😟

From start to finish the project has been managed well by Sharps. Measurements were double-checked in 2 visits, then delivery was swift and professional by friendly gents. Most importantly our wardrobes were fitted beautifully - Phil Ward worked cleanly, was very pleasant to have in my home and worked with precise detail, resulting in fabulously fitted wardrobes. I particularly like Sharps' curved rail for my dresses, plus the range of drawers and shelves, all designed to our requirements. They are an expensive outlay, but I appreciate the quality of work and am reassured by the 15-year guarantee. Overall am delighted with this purchase. Thank you.

Fast, efficient delivery of my radiator from Best Heating. Friendly driver, his assistant brought the radiator into my home and leaned it against the wall, as requested. Thank you gents.

Great quality furniture. The side table matches the 6-seater dining set i bought last year, which has coped exceptionally well with the English weather!

Sovereign Centre Eastbourne. In the gala pool, I was using a noodle to do some exercises recommended by my physio. I was walking up and down using the noodle when Logan the lifeguard spoke to me to check I was a competent swimmer and was not going out of my depth. Logan was an articulate, professional young man who took his role very seriously and was polite and courteous. I was reassured that he checked my competency as a swimmer and showed his concern for my safety and ability to be in deeper water. Thank you, I feel safer knowing lifeguards are actively monitoring the pool for swimmers' safety.

Maxine made purchasing my watch a delightful experience. She showed me the different finishes I could choose from and once chosen, spent ages removing/adding strap links to ensure it fitted perfectly. I found the whole experience fun and enjoyable and felt I was treated as a valuable customer (good old-fashioned service.) Thank you.

2nd order with Cut My Plastic. First fir my finish toom table and now for our lovely coffee table. As both are made from wood they are prone to dents. I bought 5 mm thick clear acrylic sheets to match the table sizes and they work like a dream, helping to keep the wood protected and in pristine condition. Thanks for a great product, easy ordering, quick delivery and reasonable prices.

Kitchen refit 20/27 Jan 2025. Coco Astridge designed a beautiful kitchen for us after a site visit, supported us throughout the project, and assigned an amazing team of exceptional (Wickes) trades professionals who made our plan a reality. The team were all experts in their field and fitted our kitchen with precision and care. Everyone had a can-do attitude, overcame problems as they arose, were friendly, respectful and considerate people who cared about achieving an excellent standard of work, as well as ensuring we were kept informed and happy. We financed our kitchen with a mix of savings and interest-free credit, which has made it so much more affordable. We are delighted with the end result - we love it! Our sincere thanks go to Coco (designer), Clemilson, Lynsay and Michael Honorato (expert fitters and project management), Richard, Karl & Ben (expert electricians), & Lee the (also expert) plasterer who transformed our walls & ceiling from artex to a lovely smooth finish. Nothing was too much for these guys who took care in everything they did and, as a result, I don't feel like we have an 'off-the-shelf standard Wickes' kitchen.' I feel like I have a 'Coco, Clem & Team' kitchen, such was the high standard of work from people who were motivated to achieve nothing less than absolute perfection for us. Two minuses: the delivery company insisted they must deliver the kitchen before Xmas - we had to threaten to cancel the order to re-book for 16/1/25 (you DO need a large area to store the flat pack kitchen inside your home), plus a mix-up in the oven order resulted in a 2-week delay which was resolved by contacting the manager. Now, if I can just find where I put the cereals...

Well if this is the company that delivered my Samsung oven and returned a wrongly ordered Samsung oven, then this is the correct review! The two guys were absolutely lovely, friendly, smartly dressed, careful in their work to ensure no damage to my property ir the ovens and were quick and efficient in their work. Both foreign nationals, I feel lucky they have come to work in the UK. Thanks guys you were great. Give them a pay rise, they deserve it.

Bought a backpack and t-shirt for my son's Xmas present. He was delighted by both.

Ordered 2 macaroni cheese with garlic bread. Expensive at £12.99 but was absolutely delicious 😋. Many thanks to the chefs and servers who work really hard to cater for their many customers. Thanks folks, your hard work (and delicious food) is appreciated. My only concern is that the menu board is unreadable (as other people were commenting on). I had to look at the paper copy by the till.

Bought the large outdoor storage cupboard which my husband constructed. He placed the shelves so that they supported each other to give it rigidity, rather than as shown in the brochure. The backing board is flimsy, so have placed it against the wall for protection and I would say a reasonable level of strength, dexterity and skill is needed to construct the cupboard. It looks lovely in the garden and is great for storing all my garden implements, bottles of tomato feed etc.

Visited on 20 Dec 2023 to see the Xmas lights, which were beautiful (from my friend's photos). For me on my scooter, I had to give up as it proved too hilly, to the point where I needed to be rescued by a lovely young couple who helped push my scooter up the muddy, tree root infested hill to the cafe (huge thanks to them both), where I waited for my friend who brought me the photos. The owner can't do anything about the vertiginous landscape and has made the gardens beautiful but, DISABLED PEOPLE BE WARNED, THIS IS NOT A PLACE YOU CAN ACCESS. AT ALL. ☠

Lovely staff instore- very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. After a short wait our beds were delivered to the correct rooms - again both delivery lads were lovely, efficient and respectful of my home. The beds were easy to put together and seem to be good quality. Now in use, my family say their beds are very comfortable and are enjoying a good night's sleep.

The text said the parcel had been delivered to the front porch, but it was left on the slope OUTSIDE the porch in full view of anyone who would like to nick it. No ding dong of the bell either. Thankfully I have a Ring doorbell and I was in, so went to investigate what had tripped the doorbell. Inside the open porch is my usual request, although I do appreciate the time pressure drivers are under.

Roots is a newly found internet company to me and I easily found what I was looking for. Ordering was straightforward and my 3 agapanthus plants were swidtly delivered beautifully packed in a cardboard box that made me smile (won't spoil it for other customers). Plants were in healthy condition and are now happily settling into their pots. Can't wait for the flower show in summer. Very happy with my first shop 🙂
