I received a notice telling me I needed to return empty cylinders. I knew I had done and I contacted Soda Stream. They reviewed their records and promptly corrected the information.

Terrific, prompt response.

Small problem resolved speaking to Sharima. She followed through my problem and straightened everything out. Excellent customer service and made sure I was satisfied. She was 100% on target.

I ordered the incorrect bottles for my SodaStream. Customer service made it very easy for me to exchange my bottles for the correct ones at a local retailer.

I've done CO2 exchanges four times since early 2025, and in each case, I've had to call customer support multiple times in order to get the returned cylinders logged in as returned. I've learned to keep my USPS return receipt to prove when they were received at the warehouse and that the proper number of cylinders were returned. Each time I'm told that the warehouse is behind in the logging process. Does it get resolved? Yes. Am I charged for not returning cylinders? No. Is it inconvenient and a royal pain to deal with. Absolutely.

I had an issue with receiving leaking/busted syrup bottles and McKenzie with Sodastream was very quick to respond. New bottles are on the way already. 🙌

We have been using SodaStream for many years. We love the machines, the flavors, and the carbonator subscription service. A recent issue with a carbonator return was quickly resolved - great customer service. We would highly recommend.

Their customer service is very good and I have had nothing but great success with them.

As a Google Local Guide Level 8, I feel it is my responsibility to warn other US consumers about SodaStream’s completely unacceptable return policy.

I recently needed to return a product that I purchased directly from the SodaStream website. Instead of simply issuing a return shipping label like any normal company, customer support instructed me to take the item to a random local retailer (Target) to process the return.

Naturally, Target refused to accept the item because I did not purchase it from them. The entire interaction was incredibly awkward and humiliating, it genuinely felt like I was trying to pull a scam on the store. To make a terrible situation even worse, SodaStream actually required me to take a photo inside the store as "proof" that I had been rejected before they would help me further.

It is abundantly clear why they do this: the company does not want to deal with the liability or logistics of shipping returned CO2 canisters. However, figuring out the logistics of your own product is the company's responsibility, not the customer’s. Pushing your shipping liabilities onto buyers and completely unrelated local retailers is an absurd and deeply flawed business model.

If you are going to buy a SodaStream, do not order it directly from their website. Buy it from a local physical store so you aren't subjected to this ridiculous process if you need to return it.

Great people at sodastream customer service. I inadvertently forgot to return my empty co2 containers in a timely fashion and was charged for the deposits.
I spoke to customer service and they were awesome regarding my slip up.
They advised me if if boxed the empties and attached the return label they had provided that as soon as they saw the empties en route back to soda stream they would refund my money I was charged.
Bingo. As soon as I sent them off soda stream saw the movement and I hit a refund. Easy peasy. Thanks customer service

I've been a SodaStream owner/fan for a long time- love making my own seltzer. One of the best things about it is their customer service, which has repeatedly been generous with replacing parts (if needed) and super helpful on the phone. And, you can always get through to them as well.

Had an issue with the fountain and soda stream honored the warranty and sent a brand new unit to my home. Thanks soda stream and & Mckenzie.

I am a new SodaStream user. I had to refill my CO2 canister and bought the right model style. I reached out to SodaStream. They were very helpful. In the end I ended up needing a new machine which they've provided for me and the process was easy. It was fast and efficient. Can't wait to get the new one and start having my sparkling water again.
