First of all - setting the digital gift card in a debit card style (eg: 16 digit number, expire date and CVV) is stupid as it then becomes a primary payment form.

A lot of the retailers only allow one form of payment, so if you want to spend over the amount you have - you can't. And if you spend less than the card and end up with a much smaller value that you can't spend on a transaction - you lose money. I'd like to know which absolute nitwit thought that this would be a good idea as opposed to a standard gift card format.

Secondly, I've then tried to take this into Nandos, where they might be able to accept 2 forms of payment (eg: the One4All gift card and a personal debit card) where I was told they had no idea how to even process the card and said to try via their online ordering system - which wouldn't work as it was an in-store retailer only. I also tried this with B&Q who also had no idea how to process the gift card alongside a second payment.

You've created an absolutely infuriating gift card experience to the point where I'm considering just chucking them in the bin.

Appreciate you trying to help, but the majority of the stores I'd like to use them eg: Boots, John Lewis, Ikea etc... are all online. As I have 2 gift cards, are you able to help me combine both amounts onto one card?

Almost impossible to redeem and did you know that if you don’t spend it they start charging and admin fee per month! Terrible and will never ever buy one for anyone!

Would give 0 stars if possible! Got one of these for my little sister for my birthday who saved loads of money from her pocket money and Saturday job because she really likes to get people presents, and you can’t use it at any approved retailer. Any of the retailers who are printed on the giftcard. I will be taking this up with the trading standards authority and will be contacting where this card was bought from to tell them to remove it from their shop floor- Tesco, post office. I would not be surprised to find out that this is a racketing organisation (allegedly)

Awful! Don’t buy. Nothing but hassle.
So hard to spend the money on the card.
Tried online and it will only be accepted if full amount (including postage) is lower than overall total. I.e. you can’t use it to pay for part of an order.
Tried in store and it was declined by self-service machine.
Just a rubbish gift card. All others I’ve used have been so much more straight forward. Avoid it.

Waste of time trying to pay woth this card in several shops and couldnt. Very frustrating as balance clearly states 25£ on it. Total waste of time and energy trying to pay with it, I definitely wont buy it for anyone as such gifts create problems.

One if the best vouchers you can send as a gift! The person you share it with will simply be able to enjoy what/when and where they want it.

I purchased a One4all gift card that would not work at an approved retailer. To resolve the issue, I was required to provide personal information, spend considerable time on hold, and exchange multiple emails. The solution they offered was a digital replacement card—which also did not work.

At no point during the initial correspondence was an apology made. It was only after I raised the issue myself that an apology was finally offered.

It has now been over eight days and I am still waiting for my refund. Despite already providing my bank account details, I have now been asked to provide a screenshot as well, which I find absurd and have never been asked to do for a refund elsewhere.

This entire experience has been a waste of my time and energy. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company. Do not waste your money or your time dealing with a business that operates this way. Mark & Avoid.

Easy to use and lots of options to choose from.

We received a One4all gift card as a wedding present and, given that two years is a common validity period for gift cards, reasonably assumed we would have at least that long to spend it without losing any of its value. What we didn’t realise was that after just 18 months, One4all starts periodically helping itself to 90p from the balance for the apparent crime of not spending your own gift quickly enough.

To make matters worse, the card is actually quite difficult to spend. Many of the participating stores don’t allow One4all cards to be used online, which is one of the reasons it took us so long to use it. When we finally tried to spend the remaining balance in Homebase, the card wouldn’t even register, despite there still being money on it, although not as much as there should have been after One4all’s deductions.

Fortunately, we had already spent most of the original balance, but I think this policy absolutely stinks. The person who bought the card has already handed over real money for it, so what possible justification is there for One4all to then gradually take that money away from the recipient, especially when the card itself is unnecessarily awkward and unreliable to use?

Gift cards are often given for weddings and other special occasions, when people may deliberately save them until they find something they genuinely want or need. Deducting money because the balance hasn’t been spent within One4all’s preferred timeframe feels incredibly unfair and exploitative.

It may be buried somewhere in the terms and conditions, but that doesn’t make it reasonable. People buying these cards should be made extremely aware that the recipient could end up receiving less than the amount they paid for, and may then struggle to spend what remains. I certainly wouldn’t buy a One4all gift card after this experience, and I’d urge others not to either.

I am writing this review to warn others about the shocking lack of care and systemic failures at One4all. On 23 July, I requested a legitimate refund of £40.00 from my card balance to my bank account. On 24 July, I received an official email confirming it was processed and told to wait 5–7 working days.
To make matters worse, they are charging around £7 just to process the refund, yet this is the appalling kind of treatment you receive from them. When the money failed to arrive, I followed up on 3 August under my escalation reference (Case 17672). Instead of fixing their mistake, the customer service team told me the entire timeline would be completely reset—claiming it would take another 48 hours to process followed by yet another 5–7 working days.
Up until this point, even though I keep filing complaints and continuously following up regarding this case, absolutely no further action has been taken by them. I have received zero positive resolutions to fix this issue. This duplicate handling and constant resetting of deadlines is a complete system failure.
What makes this entirely unacceptable is that I explicitly told their team that I am currently destitute and urgently need this money to buy food. Despite knowing that their internal errors are causing me severe hardship and starvation at points during the week, nobody offered a gesture of goodwill or fast-tracked the payment. They take your money for a fee but abandon you when they fail.

As a company regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), they have a strict duty to treat vulnerable customers fairly. Instead, they have shown a total lack of urgency and zero empathy. I have been forced to lodge another formal complaint (linking Case 5460 and Case 17672) and will be taking this straight to the Financial Ombudsman Service and Small Claims Court if it is not resolved immediately. Avoid this company if you value your money and peace of mind.

I would not recommend buying a one4all gift card. I bought my sister a £100 gift card for her birthday in May.

The gift card does not work, each time we ring we are put through to a different member of staff and instructed to log in/ out of the account and change the password.

Nearly three months later, the voucher still doesn’t work and I’m no closer to getting my £100 back or the voucher working.

Very unreliable. Keep people waiting for ages to resolve the disputes in their system. I asked for a refund last July 22/23 from their customer service. Ther informed me that I will only take 5-7 working days. They after my request they just processed it July 24 and they said again it will take 5-7 working days. They wasted my 2 days and keep saying the same thing. The the whole week I keep following up th refund case I need it to buy food. Cause I'm destitute and only relying for this refund to buy food. Not aug 3. I received again that the refund I just been process after a week they said they just processed again my refund. They waste another 7 days and Rebeca Asencio , one of their manager who handled my case said. I need to wait again another 5-7 working days. How ridiculous this one4all. Don't by this card. And refund will cost you 7.5£ and you will be just played around by their support team

OMG where do I start. Got it from colleagues as a birthday gift, trying to use - a 1000 different numbers on the card, on their website, ask to put my own name, and I tried my name in all combinations. If you have a work enemy or boss, this is the best gift ;)

I sent as a gift via email, was reminded gift cards hadn't been claimed and was update when they had been.

I purchased 4 x £50 for relatives at Christmas from Morrison’s, I was sheepishly informed in May by one of the recipients that there was £0 balance on the card & when I checked, all the other 3 were £0 balance too, how embarrassing ! I rang customer service & they checked & said I need to send a 2 photographs of all 4 fronts of cards & 4 backs of cards all together. So I’ve got to collect 4 cards from relatives that are in different areas of the Midlands within the 24-48 hours of the e-mail, which is impossible. I recommend anyone wanting to use these as a gift, put some cash in a card or a bank transfer.

Absolute rip off! Gifted a £15 gaming voucher which is redeemable for playstation credit through boostgaming.com when you go on their website you can only buy a £10 of playstation credit and the remaining £5 sits on the card slowly decreasing in value at 90p per.month after 18 months. You have to go through a lengthy customer complaint process to get the remaining balance transferred off the voucher, into a bank account. I'll never buy one again!
