Co Durham bought some bits before Christmas for my son for his bow we had to go back to store to get them fitted Lewis went above and beyond to help me get the things done that I had purchased, this is my son's favourite shop it's on our doorstep won't go anywhere else now except Back to Merlin for all my accessories thank you so much for all your help lewis

Merlin’s in Canterbury is a delightful experience, from the minute you enter the store. You are greeted upon arrival by the lovely Rosie and Mabel, 2 beautiful cockapoos.
Nick welcomed us to our appointment. Lucas served me and measured me up for my bow. He explained in detail, every piece of kit I needed. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in budget, my arrows were made to the colour I choose and the length I needed.
Nothing was too much trouble, my appointment lasted nearly 3 hours. I left ecstatically happy with my bow, arrows and accessories.
Service was fantastic, Nick and Lucas went above and beyond. I will be returning for all my future archery needs

I am new to Archery and all I can say is this company (The Essex Shop) were so unhelpful over the phone and told me they would only measure me up for a recurve bow if I was buying a full kit from them ? Or....... for the 10 minutes it would take, I could pay £50.00 and then they would consider doing it ?!
Well it looks like they messed up big time as I went to another Archery shop and due to the free measure up service and helpful advice, I actually ended up spending over £1k with the better and more professional shop,
My advice, stay well clear of these money grabbing cowboys and go elsewhere.

Very poor quality product....service has become terrible, i have spent about 4k with this company over the years.....selling chinese rubbish for 4 times the cost. They refused a refund for a very poor quality product. I was pre warned but i thought i would stick with whom i knew....i was wrong. Should have gone to

Merlin is expanding. A real sign that customers, such as me, return. They keep a good level of stock, too. When I have had an issue, as will always happen, they handle it in a positive, helpful manner and resolve it! Not many issues, of course! I have bought most of my kit from them and intend to continue as a customer! Thoroughly recommended.

Was looking to buy a EK Archery Cobra R9. On their website they promise to not only match but beat the competitors price under same offer conditions. I found the crossbow at £149 at Rifleworks, sent them the details and they refused to honour the promise. If you can’t do what you offer, don’t offer the promise

Appointment time 10am though I turned up 1 hour late due to road closures, my technician was still waiting and willing to carry on with the Appointment. Ethan was exceptionally knowledgeable and really went into detail with the bow setup and sights arrows etc. He kept to my budget and even gave me a veterans discount. Thoroughly enjoyed my time at merlin and though left with a lighter wallet I got an awesome bow.

Having used merlin archery online and at the excellent Essex outpost i have to say great service and great prices but most of all great back up!
Having suffered lately with the start of carpel tunnel syndrome and using a wrist release i tried the change to thumb release and it failed.
I then purchased a new wider wrist release online from Merlin, it was not better.
After discussion with Oliver i purchased a new wrist release which gives me some relief at last.
The return and delivery of the new item was fast stress free and very well handled.

I have ordered loads of stuff from Merlin but lately every order contains some incorrect items. Final straw was 80cm target faces arrived and they were 52cm. Image on the website shows proper 80cm targets and they are described as 80cm targets but the fine print says the outer two colours are missing. Very annoying that Merlin will not pay for postage even when they admit the image was wrong. Can you imagine these guys selling a 12 inch pizza and delivering an 8 inch one as they assume people don't want the crust. I'm done ordering from Merlin.

Poor Quaility products and no back up/customer service when stuff goes wrong.

Really poor attitude and I won't be using again. I've heard similar from quite a few other people now and you can see quite a few other low reviews which shows this wasn't an isolated incident.
