I recently took my pse laser to Merlin's archery in Chelmsford.
Where Jake (I think) couldn't help me enough setting up my bow, and given me sound advice on compound archery .
As I'm relatively new to the sport.
I will be going back that's for sure.

Excellent company with a great customer service delivery is super fast and there website is brilliant with vast amounts of high quality products I really enjoy shopping hear I’ll be a returning customer and I highly recommend them to anyone who is into archery

Andy was an amazing help. I'd bought a composite bow recently and no idea what I was doing. He set up the bow gave me pointers and over all the service was amazing!!

Best Archery Store around. I had a previous bad experience with another Archery Store and almost gave up. I phoned Merlin and to my surprise the phone was instantly answered, this never happened before with the previous Store. The person I spoke to was massively helpful and inspired me to order from their site. I ordered a crossbow on Wednesday morning and the item was delivered the following Friday. Fantastic service from Merlin. I would definitely recommend them and avoid the Preppers shop like the plague. Many thanks

After over a year of archery I needed to get my own kit. I was going to go to another archery store but was recommended Merlin Archery as they have a large stock and personalised fitting.

I spent about three hours in the shop. The lovely Sarah helped me from start to finish, and also taught me lots about the equipment and maintenance on the way. The staff are very knowledgeable and look after your best interests. I could have easily been peddled some of the more expensive pieces but on some occasions was recommended the least pricier option as it was a better fit for me.

As a result, at my first session testing my new kit at my club, I jumped 62 points comfortably and got a personal best!

I would definitely recommend paying for the personal time for anyone who is getting fully kitted out. It cost me £20 and was money well spent.

Merlin are a great resource for Archers. Wide range of products, and importantly for me, knowledgeable & helpful staff. I wanted some more of a particular arrow, but its no longer available, they were happy to advise a 'newer name' was in fact the same arrow just a change of colours. I did not know that, and this allowed me to place another order.
Often I need to confirm something about an item pre-purchase, or a follow up question - Merlin are helpful & responsive. Only negative is that for small items or one-off, the postage charge can make them too expensive.

Was looking for a Steambow stinger 2 compact repeating crossbow, I found Merlin online and the advert looked fine, showing the crossbow I wanted. I then followed instructions, put product in the cart and proceeded to purchase. When it arrived it was not the same as the advert but a single fire stinger2 survival instead. I was asked to send photos which I did and was then told at my own cost to return it. This of course was not right and I said so. In response I was told that it is “ more common than you think that Steambow has errors like this as the range is not straightforward “ and it is my problem, as far as they are concerned the matter is over. All that was needed was to send the correct item and collect the wrong one same time. I am still stuck with this! Very disappointed

Ordered some basic items as a first time archery beginner until I worked up to a bow. 6 items in the order but after 2 weeks nothing arrived and when I chased them they told me one item had not arrived into them but that it would be in within 1 to 2 days and they would dispatch my order. Nothing arrived a week later and following another chase from me they said it still wasn’t in. I politely suggested that they send me what they had and then send the delayed item when it arrived and they agreed to do that straight away and process a refund for the missing piece. Another couple of days later I get another email saying the item is not in yet and would I like them to send me what I have. Bunch of clowns and although a small order, I am new to Archery and have a lot of kit to buy in the next few months but it won’t be from them

Placed an order for value of £67.00 on 19 May 2025, 1 item was out of stock with a available date of 7-10 days.
Phoned yesterday 03 June 2025, order still 'NOT PROCESSED' 16 days from ordering. Promised the order would be set & the outstanding item sent as soon as its available. The shop is closed now & my order has STILL NOT BEEN PROCESSED AS PROMISED.

I bought a Mybo Rogue Archery Kit from Merlin Archery just last week and received it yesterday.
I was looking to try archery to see what it was like. The kit they sent me when I opened it was very impressive looking.

Took my daughter to the Kent store to buy her first bow and cannot fault the service we received. We booked an appointment in advance, which is clearly advised on their website, and nothing was too much trouble for Nick and the advice and setting up of the bow was first class. Can’t recommend them highly enough it’s so rare to receive such good service. Will definitely be returning to them.

As a newby to archery the day had finally come to make that first purchase, my very own kit!
Having listened to the wise owls at my club there were three recurrent pointers when starting out.
1. Set a budget.
2. Take the drive to Merlin Archery in Burton on Trent.
3. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FIRST!

Following these tips both myself and a fellow club mate made the 2.5 hour drive to Merlin. We were not disappointed, Tom spent most of the day with us running through all the kit required tailoring to our specific requirements.
We paid for the professionalism and advice given to us and we will be back. My colleague and I appreciated the guidance and the nearly four hours given to us by Tom at Merlin.
At times all the team were dealing with customers like ourselves so it's tricky for anyone just to turnup and expect to be seen unless just making a straight purchase.....to avoid disappointment make an appointment...great customer service was our experience...thanks Tom.

I needed some replacement arrows and just wanted to write and say thank you for the great service.
From being able to speak with someone over email and give exactly what I needed, to them then sorting out the quote/price and payment, they made it really easy to order and also took on board my requests re delivery as well. The arrows came the next day and were spot on. I'm really happy with the service, thanks to Oliver and Bob.

Visited their store in Burton upon trent. Was a prior customer of their Loughborough store from 2010.
This was for my daughters first strides into archery.
Upon entering the Burton store was very impressed with the size of the store and the stock on display to buy.
However soon noticed that we were being ignored by staff. I tried to make eye contact with them but was definitely being ignored. I approached several members of staff who were all enthralled in their own individual tasks and all of them - without making eye contact said "have you made an appointment?" And "you need to make an appointment " to then return to the tasks. I've never heard of a walk in - retail store operate an appointment only store policy. I found them to be ignorant, elitest and generally rude. I will never return to merlin archery. Disgusting behaviour
