Merlin Archery are an extremely professional company, with excellent customer service.
I had a couple of issues with items I'd bought (manufacturers issues, not Merlin Archery's).
Merlin Archery rectified the issues promptly and efficiently - I could not recommend them highly enough.
Thank you for such good service.

Do not use merlin archery
Brough a ravin r29x snipper crossbow only to receive a diferent package that was listed on there website upon ringing them i was promised when i returned it and sent a pic of the reture recipt id either have a new item that was complete but the moment i sent a pic i was sent a email saying that id have to wait for them to receive it so i rang them to find what changed , upon them exsplaining why i was happy to wait as they said it most likly would be saturday or Monday at latest they would receive it and take action asap it is now tuesday and all i got was a email exsplaining that i would not be receiveing the item i paid for and that is listed on there website insted id only recive a item missing some of the key parts. Inbetween this i must have made near on 10 phone calls to merlin to get ansers and try to get a complete product sent to me but 90% of them calls i was told the person dealing with them issues was busy else where or left with unsanserd quetions.

What a fantastic experience and service we had from Merlin Archery when we visited the store in Burton on Trent.

We made appointments in advance, and my husband and I were assisted by Tom and Ethan. After 4 hours of focused support, we came away with perfectly tuned bows and equipment for recurve archery. Both of us have made tremendous progress with our archery since our visit just a couple of weeks ago!

There was no ‘hard selling’. Time was taken to ensure the bows and the rest of the equipment are perfect for us, and our budget was respected throughout. We were able to try out our bows on the indoor range (we also received great coaching advice from Tom that has really helped, thank you!).

In short, these guys are brilliant, and I would definitely recommend paying a visit to Merlin, but do book first and allow plenty of time for diversions etc en route.

Having had a very poor experience with 'The Archery Shop' (AVOID AT ALL COSTS)

Was very pleased with the service offered by Merlin Archery – They answered the phone straight away, gave good knowledgable advice, confirmed that the reasonably priced products were in stock & ready for dispatch. The items arrived well packaged in a timely manner.

This is about my latest order, but I have used Merlin Archery many times in the last 7 years or so, and they have always provided a good service, and even where there has been an issue, they've put it right. This time, I ordered some supplies (bulk pack of target faces) on Sunday evening. I was surprised to get a shipping notification Monday morning, and the items arrived on the Tuesday via courier. Excellent.

I have just recently gotten into archery. I naturally discovered Merlin as they are quite prolific. I have placed a large volume of orders over the last couple of weeks and I have found them to be very reliable and communicative.

I have had cause to send a few emails. Discount, stock enquiries, order alteration etc. If it's within the working day, I always get a response within hours. Communication has been fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you to Steffan and Bob especially for that, and thank you to the Merlin team; my order always arrives quickly and very well packed.

For stock levels, choice, fulfilment and service. I highly recommend Merlin Archery.

Great prices compared to other archery shops and quick and easy delivery. Recently, I started buying most of my archery equipment from Merlin and have had 0 issues. All items that are in stock come quickly and any issues are relayed to me quickly and sorted quickly.

This should also be a reflection of Head office as well. I started my enquiry and quote to purchase everything I needed to create an Archery Club on the Isle of Mull through Merlin Head Office, stating what I envisaged and how and when it was going to start. Merlin came back with a detailed quote but also explaining why I might need what was on the list. I liked the quote, appreciated the detail and so then asked for it to be processed. The challenge then was to wait for it all to arrive and then a ferry and a long drive to collect as well as get a ferry back home, for those in the know the ferries can be quite challenging with weather and breakdowns at short notice. Merlin H/O then suggested that I collect everything at Durham office which was significantly closer. Andy at Durham could not be more supportive and I was kept informed at all times with the progress of the order and so I was able to book ferry, van hire and accomodation in advance and collect fuss free. Now I'm back on the island Mull & Iona Archers is ready to start thanks to the support of Merlin Archery.

One of the best online shops. Used several times with no issues even when having to wait for back orders. Small issues with stock levels are met with great customer service and communication which is greatly appreciated and makes all the difference. Black and white stock level info to manage expectations. Great range of products which I hope they keep expanding - a go to staple shop for most needs. Excited to visit the new Burton store when it's fitted out!

Whether shopping in person or online they have been great. Really knowledgeable staff. They recently moved to new premises which will be amazing when it’s fully operational.

Had an appointment to buy my first recurve bow having previously bought online for my Son. Friendly check in on arrival. Ethan was with us for 3.5 hours helpinging select the perfect riser within our budget, set up bow, shoot and tweak. Received so much information, tips and advice. Ethan's knowledge as a third generation archer really shon through and so friendly. Was given options but never pressured to choose. Great customer service. Wonderful first store experience.

Absolutely brilliant experience. I contacted Merlin Archery to see if they could price-match an item I had found elsewhere. They managed to beat the price by a couple of pounds, and arranged the invoice immediately. I paid, and the item was dispatched right away. A few days later, the item arrived. You can’t ask for better than that, right? :)

As a relative newbie to the hobby, I was ready to invest a fair bit of money (by my standards) in getting fully kitted out. Once my bow had arrived, I made the 2 hour journey up to Merlin and had a warm greeting from the shop manager, Huw, who then handed me over to one of the technical guys, James. We then spent the next 3 hours making sure my bow was properly set up for me, getting some arrows made, having a chat and a laugh, and dealing with all of the other accessories that I needed. James was very friendly, patient, and gave good honest advice with respect to how much (or little) I really needed to spend on certain add on items.

It was important to me that this experience went really well otherwise it could have ruined the start of this new hobby, and between Huw and James, it went better than I expected. I spent around £1,200 but left there a very happy customer (and my Mybo Origin Compound bow is wonderful).

The one area I would give a bit of feedback on (as a few others have mentioned) is that they need to get their online stock status information more accurate. I was originally going for another bow because it said "Yours in 2 weeks". I placed an order and then got a phone call the next day saying it would actually be more like 12 weeks. I didn't want to wait this long so I changed my order to another bow that also said "yours in 2 weeks". I then had another phonecall a few days later saying this second bow would be more like 6 weeks. Thankfully the weather has been rubbish and so the extended wait wasn't that painful, but it was a slightly frustrating start. They can't help how long bows take to get in but they can help how long the website says it will take.

Apart from that, everything else was really good and Merlin will be my automatic 'go to' shop for all future archery kit. I am extremely happy with every item that I left the shop with and also happy with the service that I got.

These folks absolutely smashed it for me. Despite an initial hold up due to Royal Mail, Merlin re-shipped my order via a different courier and I received it almost next day. They were incredibly quick to respond to my emails and kept me informed and up to date all the way. I've used Merlin a few times for my archery gear and the quality of what I've bought has always been great.
