Never rent from these crooks. Under polite and smiley faces they will rip you off. When picking up the car they will present you some minor damages and will make you sign electronically what you believe is a simple one page report but actually it is a 28 page contract, with your signature on every page, with clauses that essentially allow them to charge you at their will for what in any decent country is considered wear and tear. Essentially they pretend the car to be always like new. They will also charge you for old, hidden damages impossible to spot at pickup unless you spend hours checking the complete car with a magnifying glass, instead driving away towards your dream vacation. And, most of all, do not make the mistake of letting them inspect the car at return without you watching their every single move, otherwise you may be charged for marks that logically can not explained and may not have been there in the first place before they started the return inspection. Otherwise they will charge you whatever they want and your total rental cost would triple. If you refuse to pay they will not refund your complete deposit.

I recently had an excellent experience renting a car from Expedicar Rent-A-Car. The online reservation process was straightforward, with transparent pricing and a wide selection of vehicles. At pick-up, the staff was friendly and efficient, quickly processing my paperwork and walking me through the car’s features. The vehicle was clean, brand new, and performed flawlessly throughout my trip. Returning the car was equally hassle-free, with a swift check-in process and no hidden fees. Overall they provided a seamless and stress-free rental experience, and I would highly recommend their services.

I would NEVER RECOMMEND this car rental company to anyone. Just a few hours before I was supposed to pick up the car, I was informed I needed to pick it up from a different location than the one I originally booked. This last-minute change was inconvenient and frustrating.

Despite the rental terms stating "full to full" for the fuel, the car was only half full when I picked it up.

After an uneventful rental period, I took the car to a car wash to be cleaned inside and out, as required by the company.
During drop-off, the employee claimed there was a long scratch on the back bumper. Upon closer inspection of the small line on the bumper, I noticed that the scratch was just some dirt residue that came off by wiping it with my hand. The employee seemed disappointed by this, which was very strange to see. Then, he pointed out a barely noticeable scratch on the plastic threshold inside the car and stated that since the scratch affected two plastic elements, I would be charged 1000 euros. However, if I paid on the spot, they would only charge 500 euros.

It seems this company uses minuscule defects to generate revenue, finding tiny issues that were probably present initially to charge customers absurd amounts. Avoid this scammy company at all costs! Unfortunately, I didn't check the online reviews before booking, but it seems many other customers have had similar bad experiences.

Everything was the worst I have ever been and if I cloud I would put 0 they are absolute gold diggers and want money for you, they are not fair to peoples. Please don't go!!!!!

Caution ! Fraud and fraud Car rental in Bucharest Romania!
We rented a car on vacation in Romania on July 2, 2024, renting the car through Booking and the company called rental car, they offered us insurance that would cover accidents, theft, third party, loss or damage and we paid 60 euros for the insurance directly to Rental Car, which in practice is Booking.
On the day we arrived to pick up the car, we arrived at the expedicar company that they say Booking and Rental Car works with, where we met the car rental agents whose names are:

From this moment our nightmare began "and the planned sting" that ruined our trip!
The two offered us insurance and we thanked them for the offer, but we had already paid 60 euros for the insurance, they said they were surprised because the price with them was 320 euros and explained that we would have to make a deposit on the credit card, we said no problem and handed over the credit card, at this point they said there was no credit or debit on the card (that it is a loaded card) and that they only receive credit, I explained to them that this is credit, that they will charge and see, that they have all my details, even a phone call to the manager of my bank in Israel who spoke to them in English and tried to explain to them but it did not help, at this point I realized after three hours of agony that there I have the option of canceling the deal and then I will have to pay for three days of rental without including my rental and a second option to "get stung" and pay insurance again, meaning both for Booking and for Expedicer, a total of 380 euros! We tried to get the rental car on the phone and then we realized that we reached a girl named Rebecca who is from expedicar, the fraud at this stage was already obvious! Needless to say, no one answered at Booking and even when we returned to Israel we tried dozens of times to contact Booking car rentals customer service number 03-3722089 and of course there was no answer.
I am attaching photos of the expedicar car rental office so that you will recognize the place, be careful this is a combined "sting" of booking, rental car and expedicar!

Hours long running for selling you extra insurances or find small deffects they actually had but not registered in the car report just to get money from you.(They rent through multiple brokers, ie Check24 so if you do not buy their extra insurance then they charge you for defects they knew they had but "overlooked" within the report which the brokers insurance will not cover)

They push you to pay cash on the spot to unlock your deposit although our contract stated you should not pay on your own.

They seem trustworthy but we ended up talking/arguing for half an hour each time with them in the blasting sun(my boyfriend literally got sun stroked returning the car) in order to reach to some consent or simply had to step out without signing they professionally explained, self-invented deffects, they actually already had but the agents did not coordinate themselves about/updated in their system.

I rented the car via Abbycar Rental and on the day of arrival I received a phone call from a representative asking if I collect the car from the office located 10km from the airport. I then noticed that it was another company and not Abbycar. After hearing all the overpriced insurance and extra costs for every single nail mark on the car I decided to continue with my insurance that I booked online. However I only had the car for one night and when returned the car the representative called me to remind me that I need to bring the car clean and washed. Somebody arrived at the airport in the car park and made a report and charged me for some scratch under the front bumper and a nail mark on the handle door. Total of 820€ in damage but they charged me 300€ as a comercial gesture 🤣. Unbelievable ….
Please stay away from this company. Complete scammers.

Al devolver el coche me retienen parte de mi fianza alegando que yo le he producido unos desperfectos. Eso es totalmente falso, yo lo he ocasionado ningun desperfecto al coche y lo he devuelto en perfectas condiciones, esta empresa son unos timadores y sin duda los inapreciables desperfectos que dicen que he ocasionado yo ya se los habran cobrado a varios clientes anteriores. Ya que ellos me exigen fotos, yo les pido que me enseñen fotos anteriores a mi alquiler y dicen que eso no les corresponde a ellos, cuando en las condiciones generales escritas pone bien claro que la empresa tiene que demostrar que el cliente el ha producido algun mal al coche. Son unas estafadores que me han robado 530€, y por mas correos que les mando reclamandoles documentacion al respecto no contestan a ninguno. Por favor nunca alquileis ningun coche aqui, los ladrones deben estar en prision.

This is an organised group of scammers working under different names. Abbycar, expedicar and so.
I rented a car who had obvious signs of damage to the front bumper. I returned the car in the exact same condition and the person receiving it said there is extra damage to it, and I will have to pay. He also kept saying the passenger window is scratched but there absolutely nothing obvious.
I kept insisting he showed me the scratch but he kept on saying it is scratched an refused to detail further. In the same manner he invented an alloy damage , also imaginary as nothing could be seen . He then carried on compiling a report which detailed the imaginary damage and asked me to sign . When I refused he kept saying something about legal action and money , all of this recorded by me on my phone with prior notification.
Not 5 minutes after he left with the car , I received an email with an invoice for damages with a list of costs and expenses that made no sense.
This was obviously prepared in advance and sent to me the minute he left with the car. In the emails I was advised to pay and ask my insurance for the money back , which I obviously won't do as I a do not want to be part of a scam.
I feel this reviews are actually not for the right company as not sure this organised group is working under this name. I rented the car from Abbycar on not expedicar so this reviews were not available to me when I looked up Abby car . If somebody knows how to notify the authorities about this , I feel it would be much more useful than posting a review on trustpilot. This kind of thing should not go unpunished.

Terrible service. Booked 2 months in advance. Had all the necessary paper work. Got to the counter day of rental in Bucharest, only to be told that my visa credit card did not specifically say it was a visa on the card, therefore they would not rent to me. Not sure any visa says “credit card” on the actual card!! This caused me to book a last minute car costing 225 dollars more. Scam company!! Beware!!

AVOID! I paid for rental and full insurance before arriving in Bucharest. Late on the previous day I was asked to pick the car up at a different location. Had to Uber and hard to find the office (behind a high fence). I was then given three options: 1. pay a deposit of £1,500 against all damage; 2. pay 50 euros and reduce the deposit to £250; or 3. pay 80 euros and have no deposit. I read reviews about charges for scratches so had no choice (no rental companies nearby). Further 15 euros charge for out of hours return so total cost for ONE DAY hire with Ubers was £165!! Day-light robbery.

THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

It was a great rental until the return. We hired a car for 5 days and it was a lovely car, better than we expected. We stopped at a garage 5 minutes from the airport to check it over and top the tank up as agreed in the contract before the return and everything was perfect.
The minute we got out of the car, the guy jumped in to examine it and all of a sudden a scratch on the interior which wasn't there appeared and we got charged 250 euros for it even though it 100% was not us. It was almost like they put the scratch in themselves to charge us for something.

We had also gone for the full protection insurance on the car but it's not full protection as they say it only covers the body work on the outside.

Absolute joke of a company and they just see tourists as a money maker, leaving a bad image of Romania.

WILL NEVER USE AGAIN AND WILL TELL EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS COMPANY!

I had reserved a car at a great rate, and the car was very nice. A little difficult to find their location but that was easy enough to figure out.

My problem was that on the return, they assessed me for a chip on the windshield. They charged my credit card 360euros. The chip was so tiny, that even though it was right in front of the driver, i didn't see it. It was less than a millimeter in size. There is no way any company (or person) would replace a windshield over this. I have to be suspicious and think this is a revenue generating tactic. Fortunately I had insurance so I was reimbursed, but I still don't like to be scammed.

Scamming scheme of payment . With obligation to buy assurance for extra cost without help how to cancel payment . In addition stuff is polite but are not going to help you .

Booked a Skoda Octavia IV new car model! On the day of renting the guy came with Skoda Octavia 10 years old! In side very dirty! I refuse to rent it and in that way they messed my plans! On their page the have 10 out of 10 positive reviews I wonder if it is real at all! Not recommended!
