It worked great! For exactly one year, should’ve done my review researches first. Green vertical bars started showing up, emailed for support and on warranty since it was just a few days till almost a year, even asked for repairs and replacement parts if warranty wasn’t covering it anymore. I then was asked to do a run down and show it in a video format so that they can see what’s happening. Two weeks of emailing went on and the answer was, sorry it’s out of warranty and it’s broken. We do not repair, but?! What we can do is give you 30% off if you ordered another one. Really?! Wow!! 🤔😤😖 🤦🏻‍♂️ There goes $400 down the drain.

One of the worst product. Spoilt within a week. Can’t get any support. Waste of money

Took over 9 months to arrive and was a massive let down! Simply does not work. Thought this was a scam, once I received the screen and seem to have been proved correct. Would advise to keep your money and don't waste your time with them. Have also been told the accessories are not legitimate.

This company seems to be manufacturing poorly engineered monitors that fail after a very short time for a shocking number of different reasons. My 4k monitor went black after literally only 3 hours of use. I was bitterly disappointed because it looked great. I had bought it to use some time in the future when we moved onto a boat as it could be used with so many different devices. It took us so long to get the boat we wanted that the box wasn’t even opened until recently. When I started to use it, I guess the warranty had just expired by two months after the date I received it. I contacted customer support and while they responded in good time, they asked the same questions and subsequent service reps were clearly not reading the entire string before replying to me. Now I understand why. So many of these monitors have failed that all they can do is to try and get you to give up. Which I have now done. I basically threw $399 away to a company that knows they’re producing faulty equipment. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t buy anything made by this company. Oh and by the way, they had the gall to offer to sell me another monitor with a 30% off discount! You’ve got to be kidding.

Like the others, bought the monitor after seeing dozens of ads on Facebook and Instagram. It seemed to fit every portable monitor feature I was seeking.
Several months later, it started acting up. There are lines, abstract boxes and bars on the screen after the monitor is powered on for more than 30 and sometimes this occurs at power on.
This was a lot of money to spend on a monitor that doesn’t work. When I reached out to support, I’ve never received an answer. Do not buy this monitor. Look for an equivalent on Amazon, and if you’re a Prime member you know you’re going to be able to return it if it does not work.

I was working on a large project and thought these screens would be an amazing idea. I ordered (2) 1080, after like almost 3.5 weeks, I heard NOTHING, I finally called and they said they were out of stock and I could pay $50 per monitor to upgrade to the 4K because they had them. I was stoked. After almost 2 more weeks, I called again, they gave me a bogus shipping number. I later found out, they only created a label, but I was told these were also out of stock. Needless to say, I had to jump through hoops to get reimbursed. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase from this vendor. They were not even regretful. This left me in a jacked up situation with work. Surely over 6 weeks would have been enough time. Oh well. I bought some the same size for cheaper on Amazon and they shipped to me overnight.

Scam company, product is not build for quality you can see the other reviews and limited 1 year warranty, mine DIED just after while attached to my laptop no misuse whatsoever. DO NOT BUY

Received the monitor from Hong Kong. After about 10 days it started getting streaks of color diagonally across the screen. After five emails back and forth with their support, the monitor was mailed back to them in the original package. They have had it for 3 weeks and it has not yet been looked at. I email them each night asking for an update. They continue to tell me that they will alert me once it has made it to the technician's workbench. They will not offer a refund for their faulty product. So presently, I'm out the $ and the monitor! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Worked brilliantly for a few of months, but not very stable. Needed a stand. Bought one, stand was moderately useful.

Then monitor died. Been trying to get them to move on warrantee for months. I spent $100 bucks shipping to Hong Kong. Asking for status but the feedback is from a Robot 'Give us some time to evaluate the situation'

Sorry I wasted money with that organization.

TLDR: it takes some time to get a great extra screen.

I ordered mine in the beginning of the pandemic. And yes it did take a while to arrive. I think they make them in batches. I really liked it! Worked perfectly with my laptop. The touch screen works and it's really light. I also used it with my old Wii.

Until it broke, I guess that happens sometimes. I got in contact with the helpdesk. Some messages back and forth. And they offered me a replacement. Yes again, had to come from Hong Kong to the Netherlands, so it takes a while. There's a lot of people complaining about their helpdesk and I don't really know what those people are doing wrong.

I think Desklab is an amazing and innovative piece of hardware!

After buying this monitor I firstly spent months waiting for them to actually ship the monitor. Around 4 months later it arrived. Thanks to the pandemic I hardly used the monitor for close to 12 months because of no travel. On the first away trip i used the monitor and after a few minutes of use the monitor started to get colour blotches all over it. It became unusable. Their support was useless and as a result I have a monitor which was only used for several hours but is now unusable and only a month outside of warranty (from when I received it).

Do not buy a monitor from Desklab

Monitor stopped working second day, vertical lines all over, plugged in or not. I'm having a terrible time trying to get some sort of a refund.

I suspect they are a scam. I ordered a monitor on 12-10-21 and paid for expedited shipping. In 2 days I was given a tracking number for some foreign shipper I have never seen before and the only information was the shipper received shipment information. After many emails with support they kept claiming the unit was on the way and had left their facility but could never provide any proof. Now a month later still no update and no product. I emailed to cancel my order. They promptly replied my order was canceled and I should see refund in 5 days. I’ll wait and see if I get a refund.

I do not recommend attempting to purchase from them.

Kickstarter Campaign gone completely wrong...

Nice product (not), which doesn't work 10 months after receiving the monitor. People who backed this project are still waiting for their delivery, but people who buyed it on Black Friday are receiving it on the way? That's extremely fishy.

A Support which wants the defect product back, but doesn't pay the shipment or any attention after sending it? It's definitely a scam which costs me a lot of money, nerves and nerves again...

Bought Trustpilot-Accounts to push their "legitimate" company, makes it even fishier.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. Go to anyone else, with much more reliable monitors and specs for less money. :)

As for many others, I ordered and received the monitor; it worked well (but not great) for several months and then stopped working completely. Customer service told me to send it back at considerable cost and since then (3 months), I keep getting the same answer (we'll look at it... some day). Please don't buy this monitor- it has been a terribly frustrating experience. Simply burn your money in a bonfire- that way, at least you will avoid the frustration of dealing with their customer service!

It worked for about 8 months of light use. It suddenly stopped working and with no power to the monitor. Nothing can be done, no warranty, no customer service. Warranty is void since I received it 3 months after I ordered it.

Ordered 3 years ago on Kickstarter. Received the 4k monitor 1 year ago, but only after complaining publicly. Failed within 2 days. Many months of emails with support, and them demanding a video of it not working before giving me option to send it in (at my expense) for repair/replacement. Sent it back 6 months ago. Still waiting, still getting "let me just check with right department" runaround. Many on Kickstarter who ordered 3 years ago still have received nothing. And now they are running a 40% off Black Friday deal on 4k monitors. The same ones they haven't been able to ship out to people who ordered 3+ years ago. The same one I am still waiting for. The monitor itself was nice when it worked for a day. But of the few people who actually received them, many on Kickstarter have said theirs immediately failed. Yet according to the desklabmonitor website (which they control obviously), they have 4.9 out of 5 average review score. Satisfaction Guaranteed! the site says. Stay far, far away from this company.

I purchased the desklab monitor in november 2020, and it arrived quickly. I tough it was great for the first 6 months. All my clients i showed it to loved it and asked where i got it from. Then in July the monitor started acting up. In August 2021 the monitor stated going fuzzy and then lines started appearing. Then it just would only stay on for 5 mins. I contact customer support who responded with a few questions. I tried them but of course i had done this before.

So they said i must ship it back to them. I had to pay the $60+ in shipping to get it back to them then i got radio silence . Every time i contact them they say they are checking on it. Its been 2 months since they have received the monitor and have only acknowledged they received it.

The monitor is still under warranty so i am expecting a replacement as i know its an led bleeding issue.

The customer service here is just shoddy and i would not purchase from them again.

Desklab pleas get in touch with me with a replacement monitor.

GREAT PRODUCT, UNTIL IT'S NOT
I waited 10 months for my 4K monitor to be delivered and when I finally got it in November 2020 it was great. I loved the design and how lightweight it was and how easily it connected to my laptop. 6 months after receiving it, white lines starting appearing across the screen... 5 days later, I couldn't even turn it on. It was completely and utterly broke. I was asked to return it (costing me a further $60 in shipping) to have it looked at and 4 months later I can't even get a decent response as to when (and if) I might get it back. I just get the same generic 'The team is looking into it' response. This company is a massive scam and as such will be reported them to Hong Kong authorities. Please do not buy from them, Their products are shady and their customer service is even worse.

4k monitor is not compatible with magnetic screen as advertised. Return policy of 7 days since either order or delivery (their website states both) is inconsistent and insufficient. Reporting to FTC for false advertising of magnetic cover, sole reason for purchase over another product and they're saying I'm not eligible for return even though I requested the day after delivery.
