Beware !!Never , ever use Mel’s Flowers of Wellington as they are actually Bloomex who are scammers! I should have known better when calling them and overseas call centre answered. Paid a lot of money for same day delivery, turned up the next day, tired bunch of 8 flowers that I paid over a $130 for. Message in card wrong and basically a piece of printed out paper stapled to a card.
So embarrassing as this was a gift to my daughter on her engagement!
Please never use Mel’s flowers or Bloomez they will rob you and send a substandard product. Plus call centre staff rude and got hung up on twice. Waste of money!! Beware!!

Flowers ordered from Mel's Flowers (Bloomex) for my sister to celebrate her birthday were delivered to the wrong address. I made SEVERAL phone calls to the company but was not offered any help to correct the situation. I managed to get my nephew to drive from 30 minutes away to retrieve the flowers and deliver them to my sister at the correct address. NO customer service at all. The call centre was located somewhere in Europe and some employees difficult to understand. I will NEVER use this company again!! Appalling!!

They dont even deserve one star. So very disappointed. Do not order from this site. When they say if you order before 1pm, your flowers will arrive the same day, it's a hoax!! I ordered for a Saturday delivery, order was made 8.30am as I couldn't make a friends very special event last minute which she was holding away from her home town. I ordered for them to be delivered that same day. After ordering & paying over $200 for this to happen, I received an immediate email saying they had been picked up, but the delivery date is for 4 days later, which will be Wednesday, she returned to her home town over 5hrs away on the Monday. So she won't even receive the flowers & whoever does, they will quite possibly be dead by the time they're delivered. I just wish I'd taken the time to read the reviews.

I ordered what was advertised as a premium, curated gourmet gift basket (first image) for a premium price. Instead, what arrived looked like someone ran into a local supermarket at the last minute and grabbed random, cheap off-the-shelf snacks to toss into a dark basket (second image). The actual value of the goods sent is a fraction of what I paid.
I tried to be reasonable and reached out to their customer service team directly to let them rectify this blatant bait-and-switch. They didn't even attempt to make it right or offer a solution.
This is pure false advertising and deception. If you expect a high-quality, professional gift basket, look elsewhere. Absolute waste of money and zero customer support.

Awful , didn't deliver on the right day and the joke bunch of flowers was just a mockery of what was advertised.

Took them to the Commerce Commission and won , outcome was very easy decided and based on the other reviews , its worth taking your cases to the Com Com , let’s shut these scammers down

Ordered a week in advance for wedding anniversary. No arrival and won't respond online. Quite happy to still take new orders.

Dodgey as business

These guys own Mel's Flowers that pose as local businesses - take your money - don't deliver and won't cancel orders/give refunds for non-delivery.

They are pack of criminals masquerading as a legitimate business. Disgusting behaviour. I am taking them to the disputes tribunal and have reported them to my bank for fraud.

1) This was my first online order with Bloomex NZ. The delivery fee was $14.99 at checkout. But when I checked my Credit Card, the delivery fee was $19.99 without any explanation for the increase.
2) Their computer system never emailed me a confirmation of the order, along with an order number.
3) When I emailed to complain, I got a computer generated email reply saying we cannot help you, without an order number.
4) I emailed again and got the same response and both of their emails did not put a person's name to it, so hence it was computer generated.
5) I phoned to lodge a complaint and the customer representative said there was no manager there for me to speak to or escalate the matter.
6) Based on my experience and looking at the hundreds of negative reviews on Trust Pilot, I will not be using Bloomex again.

Disappointing first experience. Ordered flowers before 10am Saturday and paid extra for same-day delivery, only to be advised afterwards that delivery wouldn't be until Monday.

The arrangement was underwhelming for ~$60, consisting of just three roses. A so-called gourmet item (a Peanut Slab) was included as compensation for the delayed delivery.

My personal message was written on the back of a promotional flyer offering 15% off my next order for Bloomex 'the discount florist', rather than a proper gift card, which made the presentation feel cheap.

I've since emailed to express my disappointment but received no response.

Overall, poor value for money and disappointing customer service.

Wish I could rate them lower than a 1. Absolutely awful service. Ordered flowers to be delivered on the date of my wife's anniversary. Hadn't arrived by 5pm which is when she left the house to meet me at a restaurant for dinner, so I ended up wanting to (and actually) buying flowers from a florist in town.

I called their help line, and they pick up and don't say anything. After multiple minutes of saying "Hello, hello?" I finally get a response but no help. Said they'd call back.

Ended up calling them 3 times, each time with a promise of a callback, but never.

Awful service, and not delivered on time. The flowers did eventually arrive but well after business hours. When you pay for delivery on a certain day, you expect them to be delivered during the day.

Wish I'd checked their reviews before ordering. Awful company.

Box is marked as Bloomex, which also has 1 star ratings. Laughably boxed as NEW ZEALAND'S OFFICIAL FLORIST. I certainly hope not.

I booked and Paid for flowers to be delivered - same day, paid the extra. Nothing was delivered so I called the next day to be told sorry it will be delivered that day, well it wasn't so I have called on the 3rd day 3 times because they don't call you back with answers. I would not use this service at all or recommend this site. Very Poor Service

Customer service is horrible and extremely rude.
Delivery was missed, confirmation email never sent, and I have not been refunded for my same delivery fee ($19.99) despite promise of this.
DO NOT use this company.

Will never use this company again! Flowers weren’t delivered when expected, rang the customer service who promised to get back to me but never did. Rang again was told the flowers would be delivered tomorrow gave no apology or explanation when pressed said there had been an issue but sorted now. This is 3 days after order placed and receiving text previously my order was on its way. I am doubtful my order will be delivered or that I will get a refund. Customer service did not sound NZ based. Never again.

DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST. Shocking delivery service and customer service. I have used Bloomex twice, the first time a "next-day-delivery" was 1 day late. The second time, the delivery never showed up. Communication from customer service has been terrible. Will never use again.

The worst service I have ever received. If you can call it service. Ordered flowers on 29 Sept to be delivered in 2 Oct for birthday. After 3 follow up calls on 2nd, each time to be told they were out for delivery and would be delivered by 9pm, they weren’t. Was advised they would be delivered by 3rd. They weren’t. 3 phone calls to Bloomex on 3rd. They said they would call back they didn’t. 2nd call they put the phone down on me and the third call I was told they only started following up at 1pm on that day. Was told to expect them on Monday, 3 days late. Each call they were less than helpful and refused to let me move the concern higher or give me the name of the manager I can speak to. Such strange service and I cannot believe they still continue to do business. I am looking at reviews now and they terrible. I should have researched Bloomex before placed my order. So still not flowers, no explanation, no interest really from the Bloomex and I given the way they have responded so far I unfortunately don’t expect a refund or the matter to be resolved.

This company should be shutdown, there product must be the leftovers that other flower shops throw out at the end of the week, unbelievably bad customer service they hang up on you won't let you speak to a manager don't return calls or emails won't refund even expect you to drop there shitt product back to them, never purchase from this company you will be ripped off and there not cheap eaigther, delivery they just throw them in a box its so disappointing, you'll get a better product from pack n save.

This business should be shut down, can't believe how much they gave us the run around!!! Stay clear !!!! Took 6 days to get here and deluxe flowers could have been picked from my own garden

Couldn't deliver on time for my Mother's birthday. I called to ask for the ETA and they hadn't bothered to let me know that it wasn't going to be delivered that day. I asked to cancel and they said they would get back to me and never did, and after calling them back numerous times, they hung up on me. Meanwhile the flowers turned up two days late, and not worth the wait. Their customer service centre sounded as though they were children in a bedroom. They charged me of course. Absolutely shocking service, quality and all-round scammers. SUPPORT LOCAL and give this organisation a wide berth
