Just spent almost three months providing prompts and documents from SARs on a Breach of Contract case, and a case of being sacked, along with other allegations, for not working on a Sunday even though my contract states Mon-Fri and that any changes agreed prior. A refusal by the employer to allow my statutory right under the Working Time Regs was also claimed to be automatic unfair dismissal.
All assessments came back with a 30-31 % success chance and therefore my insurance would not cover support at an Employment Tribunal
Felt like I was fighting against my ex employer and not being supported to bring a bad employer to task.
Off to get another assessment but I do feel that if I was paying I would get more positive news on likelihood of success.

On calling the number given i had no confidence that my concerns would be addressed. The receptionist wanted to put me through to my case handler who was the problem. They have no customer service department!!
I had just finished a final call with my case handler who was again very negative in wanting to take on my claim. The final excuse was that because I did not state my statutory claim at the time of informing of my Sunday rest day, I.e quoting the legislation, or my right to take 24hrs rest in a 7 day period, then my case would not succeed. So, next time I don’t wish to work on a day outside of my contract I have to state the legislation ???????
Also, as there were other false/unfounded reasons for termination, and there was no primary cause of termination, I cannot claim against that breach of statutory right anyway ???? Popycock.
Going ahead with my own ET claim and not buying legal insurance again, and certainly not recommending this company

It’s very stressful dealing with uncooperative and difficult tenants. The legal advisors have been great. However in particular Derya Saridas had been extremely helpful, knowledgeable and methodical in her approach in helping me. I am so grateful for her expertise, professionalism, empathy and advice provided.

They say they didn’t receive email from solicitor, causing delays in dealing with claim.
Sends one email saying yes to claims, then 3-4hrs later sends another email saying no to claim. Then when questioned which is true, answer was they didn’t know.
Only use solicitors down south miles away from anyone, so as a disabled person in Yorkshire will never have a face to face with solicitor. After looking up reviews of solicitors ARAG use, most are 1 or 2 star reviews and reading between the lines. ARAG use cheapest solicitors possible so don’t expect much.

What a great telephone advice call from I think Elvira, speaking to solicitors about something is always a nerve wracking thing to do because it’s always serious but I was immediately put at ease and given accurate information about something they may not have dealt with previously.

Poor legal knowledge and staff, although very friendly they are para lawyers [basic legal experience] you get bounced around from one person to another. Very long in getting back even when a time is promised. Puts you at a major disadvantage when dealing with the other side’s experienced solicitor. The law in this country is no longer justice but who is the best solicitor, Be very careful in how you use this ‘free’ service it will cost you dear.
