I've been with nfu now for a number of years ,I had an accident recently on a sunday,monday car was recovered,thursday car was written off thursday evening money was in my account ,friday new car on drive cant fault the service even offered me hire car ,

NFU are expensive, however they offer a good service and are quite fair.

Any claim is always settled quickly and efficiently and if you need a phone conversation they are so easy to deal with….NO CHATBOTS!

They rejected responsibility, stating the incident was “unforeseeable” and caused by unknown parties, and that I must prove negligence. Yet the negligence was obvious. The car park had no lighting, no visible security, no staff on site, no emergency contact, and completely uncontrolled access—including an unlocked pedestrian gate. There was no meaningful response to the incident and no evidence that CCTV was even functioning or reviewed. The surface itself is dangerously neglected, full of large potholes and standing water.

Despite all of this, they refused to acknowledge any fault and instead pushed me toward using my own insurance—even though this wasn’t my fault and my policy doesn’t cover it.

Hiding behind technicalities while ignoring clear safety failures is unacceptable. This response shows a complete lack of accountability.

I've been with NFU for 16 years for my pets, I made a small claim in the last year and they put my annual policy cost up to match my maximum claim. Disgusting

Good people to deal with, no nonsense, swift and efficient

The whole experience dealing with my claim was superb. Georgia kept me regularly updated and was extremely helpful. The claim was paid in super quick time and shan't hesitate in recommending NFU to others.

The claim was straight forward and paid quickly with follow up payments explained in writing.

We experienced a central heating boiler failure. Home Emergency were professional and appointed an engineer within the first hour. They attended next morning, identified the fault and repaired it providing a full explanation of what had gone wrong. Given our sad experiences in similar circumstances with other insurers in the past, especially using home emergency provision, we can only conclude that we are unlikely to ever insure our home and contents with anyone else except NFU Mutual.

They were efficient, helpful and prompt.
