They have so few Scottish solicitors as to be bordering on a fantasy service. If you live in Scotland be very wary of the offer from Arag Plc.

Far aware they have only four preferred legal firms and none of them Arag, can force to take a case. And no guarantee that one or all will blight a client from a conflict of interest.

If the token offer of four firms cannot assist then Arag will send you on your way to find a solicitor on your own! Hours of emails, phones calls when they should do this task. And the end of day result can be to be no further forward in your search for a Scottish solicitor.

Arag at count -maybe I’m wrong and I will correct, if so- have approximate seventy solicitors based in England on their payroll. Yet, have not one direct employed, nor anyone to assist in finding a Scottish solicitor.

I don’t know the number of clients Arag have in Scotland, one does think that this cannot be right that are so few options to Arag clients within Scotland.

Perhaps Arag, require a secondary list, least make an effort to assist clients from obtaining more legal firms willing to work the Arag way.

If you find a Scottish solicitor and they be willing to engage Arag, there is no guarantee Arag will approve. Result can be a client wastes their time, and time is money, and you have already paid Arag Plc, try save your time and save your money if you live in Scotland, by going elsewhere.

Least until Arag Plc, get the message and improve their service. Minimum, give Scottish clients a reasonable opportunity to gain service.

I dealt with Evren after feeling entirely lost during a workplace dispute, he provided immediate feedback from a solid base of knowledge helping me to understand what I can and cant do. I was impressed by how quickly Matthew Coldrick and Stephen Headland dealt with my property dispute case. Although it was not the outcome I wished for they explained why. Terrible they have just declined my claim based on a LBA presented by a fraud, who works for a claims progressor who we did work for and played us from the outset.

Her decline was verbatim word for word according to LBA, and did not take into consideration that as a company we had been provoked from the outset, manipulated, harassed whilst on holiday, harassed at home when the company is registered at another address

They now claim they only work on a no win no fee basis and claim their costs back through claimant?

Yes I’m happy with that let’s make this man pay!

But they feel it’s not viable!

We have requested a copy of our insurance as it’s been mis sold from the outset and is not worth the paper it’s written on.

ARAG are deplorable.

Don’t use

We will be reporting them for mis-selling, you don’t have to pay for a CFA.

Solicitors will take cases on based on grounds free of charge and you don't have to pay a subscription....

With ARAG you do.... they sell there wares through insurance companies, but are not fit for purpose upon making a claim.

It’s took them 5 Weeks to respond to our claim increasing it £650 to £5250.00 good investment wasn't it taking insurance with them they have cost us £4600 due to not dealing with the matter timely and accordingly.

This is possibly the worse legal firm I've ever had the misfortune to be landed with. Subcontracted by Admiral insurance as legal cover, they continually got details wrong and sent repeat emails as by way of introductions indicating they had no idea of where they were in their own processes . Further, I was appointed a paralegal and not a fully qualified solicitor. Subsequently the paralegal continually informed me that they had to refer the case to their manager for guidance????? Lastly after approx. 5 months of emails and despite the level of detail and communication provided to ARAG concerning the circumstances of the case, ARAG, having taken on the case with 'a good chance of success', I was informed last week that they were withdrawing their services as they felt that the case wouldn’t succeed. 5 months of wasted time not to mention the cost of the legal cover taken out with Admiral. I would seriously check with insurers as to who they subcontract legal support with before taking out legal cover as part of any insurance policy. To say I am incandescent is an understatement not least in then speaking with my own solicitor who gave several options for pursuing a legal case with the indication of a high level of success. This was achieved within 20mins of a phone call. 5 months with no result against a 20min call to a fully trained solicitor. And yes admittedly, you pay for what you get, clearly I didn’t read the writing on the tin!

Extremely helpful and explained things in simple terms

Please don't get this wrong we are not complaining about the outcome, it's about the professionalism of this firm, we have had to contact the lawyer that was appointed to us and we could never get hold of her no matter how many messages we left,it's just like the film ERIN BROCKOVICH, she only emailed twice in 4 weeks. Not even sure if she is a boundary expert as she is a para legal.She then sent us a letter by email which is all legal jargon we tried to call her on Friday 8th August just got receptionist to try to discuss it. No phone call surprise surprise ☹️☹️ would not recommend. Surprised Admiral even using this firm. Disappointing.

I had car insurance with Hastings direct. I added a rental car if I was ever in needed which was to be provided by ARAG. Basically I only had an Australian credit card as id just moved over to the UK as my father was dying. My car got stolen so insurance were going to provide me a rental car id paid for in my policy. Anyway long story short I couldn't have a rental car because I didn't have a UK Credit card at the time. Meaning I had to miss out on seeing my father and unable to do much of anything. And to top it all off hastings direct are now trying to charge me the full amount of my insurance policy even though they never provided me with the add on that ARAG provides. Downright fraud and a shame. Both companies should be ashamed of themselves.
