I have house insurance with Admiral and I was looking through the small print ( never really done that before) and noticed o was covered for employment issues! I’ve been having issues with my employer and so I called up the help line asking for help. I spoke to a lovely young lady who listened to my tale of woe .. I then had another phone call later that day from the legal team who have them sent me a claim form . They explained that is they see a potential case I will be allocated a solicitor who can help me fight my battle! I’ve got to say so far I’m more than impressed and delighted that I read the small print and made that initial call ! Let’s hoping they can help me take on the global company I work for !

Excellent legal service with clear communication and professional guidance

I was advised to call for advice in how to move a legal matter forward. I found Elisa to be so helpful.
Firstly she was incredibly pleasant and easy to relate to. She appeared to understand my situation very quickly, giving a clear indication of experience and showing an excellent understanding of my situation and concern.

She gave me time to share my concerns, at no time did I feel hurried or that my concerns weren’t valid.

Having heard me Elisa was clear in her thoughts and advice which she presented so well it left me in no doubt how I should take matters forward. She was clearly knowledgeable about the law and gave me clear advice on practice directions and where to find the procedures I needed, again giving me time to be clear how to find the information I needed.

Waste of my time, contacted Arag for legal advice via my house insurance, was advised to file a claim against another party after waiting months of correspondence and evidence they decided not to persure with my claim, because I did not contact the local council of which bares no relavence to my claim against the 3rd party. If this nessasery contact had to be made with the council why was this claim aloud to proceed in the first place? I have since then logged a complaint with Arag to find that they still stand by there decision not to proceed.... Complete waste of time and incompetence.

Sam was able to deal with my concerns which were both complex and technical in a clear and detailed manner. He had patience and professionalism throughout.

I can't tell which of these two entries is the law firm, and which is the legal costs insurance firm, but both were dire and I'd strongly recommend you avoid them if you want meaningful cover or acceptable levels of service.

I paid for a very expensive high net worth policy that was supposed to provide complete cover, and all they have done is try to wriggle out of their responsibilities for 14 months.

Service dreadful, communication dreadful, coverage beyond dreadful. The worst experience of insurance I've ever had.

Update: The Financial Ombudsman upheld my complaint. ARAG have now agreed to fund my legal representation, but yet somehow are still dragging their feet agreeing terms with the lawyers, when the claim was first registered in March 2025 and the damage done to my home is still costing me £500/month in interest.

Elisa was amazing at helping me to understand my legal and contractual position and I would highly recommend her. Great service, compassionate and very informative advice!.

I submitted a rental claim on 31 March 2026 and followed up many times by phone and email between 31 March 2026 and 27 April 2026.

Despite paying extra for rental and legal cover, I did not receive clear written updates or timely support when I genuinely needed help. The process felt very slow, with delays in reviewing information and providing feedback.

This was a time-sensitive rental matter, as I was not receiving rental income and needed urgent legal action by 30 April 2026. Because I did not have clear progress or timely support, I instructed my own solicitor to issue a Section 8 notice, which caused additional cost and stress.

I have since been told my solicitor costs may not be covered because I did not have prior consent. However, I feel this does not properly take into account the delays and lack of clear progress after more than a month.

Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. I expected landlord rental and legal insurance to provide timely help when it was genuinely needed.
