Return customer, have used several times
Return customer...have used several times...recently sent another birthday parcel to a grandson in Europe...this time I was offered an even better quote from one of the International Couriers and it arrived (door to door) in 4 days! They also took care of all the customs paperwork after I specified the various items in the box. Honestly, in the past I was limited to using Royal Mail and it could take weeks to get there having been held up in customs. Parcel Hero have made alternative options possible and it's so easy...thank you ☺️

Surcharges applied post delivery with no previous notification or reason given
Since this review we have been charged additional charges without any reason, or forewarning. Whilst the amount is not huge, it is the principle. If a company is going to add on charges, post delivery there needs to be notification and a reason given. Beware
Further to the response from Parcelhero, I contacted customer support immediately, not heard a thing. Basically if you are going to add additional charges more than a week following the delivery, you need to advise the customer why. This must also be a legal requirement under consumer law.
Please be aware if you are thinking of using this company that you may incur additional charges deducted automatically from your bank account with no previous forewarning or reason

I sent an A4 letter to my bank in Egypt and paid for it in advance over £15, yet your delivery company held the letter and got me to pay nearly LE1000 Egyptian pound! The letter had no financial value to claim customs duty!

⭐ 1 STAR — TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE — DAMAGED GOODS, MISLEADING DELIVERY CONFIRMATION AND UNEXPECTED PAYMENT
I am extremely disappointed with ParcelHero and the way my shipment was handled. This has been one of the most frustrating delivery experiences I have ever had.
I sent expensive glass shower doors through ParcelHero. The goods were damaged during transit, yet I was not informed that they had been damaged.
Even more concerning, I received an email from ParcelHero stating that my delivery had been successfully completed, when in reality the delivery had not been successfully completed in the condition I expected. The glass doors had been damaged (despite me packing them
In their original packaging), and I was left to discover the consequences myself.
As a result of this, I have lost £219.95 relating to the damaged item. This is a significant amount of money, and I am extremely unhappy that I have been left financially out of pocket because of the way my shipment was handled for which I paid around£45 .
On top of this, I also discovered that £3.59 was taken from my bank account as a recurring/additional payment that I had not knowingly authorised. I contacted ParcelHero because I wanted an explanation for how this payment had been taken. The whole situation has left me seriously concerned about the transparency of their payment practices.
So, to summarise my experience:
❌ My glass doors were damaged during transit.
❌ I was not properly informed about the damage.
❌ I received an email saying the delivery was successful, despite the serious problem with the shipment.
❌ I have lost £219.95 as a result plus they fee around £45
❌ An additional £3.59 payment was taken from my account, which I did not knowingly authorise.
❌ I have had to spend considerable time chasing the matter and trying to get answers.
I would not recommend ParcelHero!!!!

Unbelievably bad costumer service,
I sent a parcel via parcelhero, the parcel was sent to me and it wasn’t correct so I resealed it and sent it back via parcelhero, i insured it for £600.
The parcel was damaged when it arrived, the contents were ruined and I have been told the insurance won’t pay out because it was insufficiently packaged!
The parcel wasn’t damaged when it came via dpd in the same packaging!
Parcel hero and UPS answers have been appalling!!!
£600 down the drain, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Incredibly poor service
Incredibly poor service. Paid for a collection/delivery; Parcel Hero took the payment, and then the website said 'Generic Failure/Issues with labels', and that's it - nothing more. No email to explain, just emails asking me to confirm my email, complete details, etc. I was told to contact FedEx, who the delivery was booked with. FedEx couldn't help, saying it was a Parcel Hero issue; eventually I got a real person who said there was an issue with the labels and someone would be in touch. I finally cancelled the order, and an immediate confirmation of cancellation came through, but I have to wait 7 days to get my £450 back. Will definitely NOT use Parcel Hero again!
