Ordered a Barnett crossbow raptor good service and any questions answered even if i did ask some stupid ones, but got my crossbow of doom and was very happy, took nearly 6 weeks to come but due to virus outbreak was understandable due that it took me 3 weeks to get toilet paper, yes it was a bad time. would recommend Gary and this site and would shop again amazing people and will be ordering more stuff from him very soon.

Gary from Outdoor Hobbies has been very quick to reply to emails and offers a professional service from start to stop, I will definitely buy from them again in the near future.

Bad customer service. Got half my order with a note stating the rest will follow. I haven't received what was specified in the box and when I brought this up, it wasn't even addressed by Gary. I'm still waiting for the other half of my order to arrive. It's now been over a month since I placed my order and Outdoorhobbies didn't bother letting me know that they didn't have the other part in stock, so I had to chase them up to find out what's going on. Their reply was blunt, rude and unhelpful, despite the fact I waited 3 WEEKS after receiving only part of my order and I certainly won't be using Outdoorhobbies again. Would appreciate my order in its entirety as well as a useful, polite response from the company.

Spot on service! I received very quick responses to my emails and was kept up to date with the progress of my order. Delivery was quick, the packaging good and the product in perfect condition. All in all I'm very happy.

Let me start by saying admittedly I'm a bit of a fussy and over impatient guy and honestly the bow couldn't of got to me any sooner, it was estimated 2-3 weeks it and came a few days before the 3 weeks,

The bow came perfect, just as it should, no damage or marks ect absolutely perfect.

There was a few minor things missing like string wax but 1 email and within an hour he had replied and sorted it.

If I could give this company 6 stars I would and from now on I will not get bows or accessories elsewhere I am totally happy and grateful for the brilliant service, keep it up,

This company was incredibly frustrating to deal with, wasting my time. Tried to con me into believing I would be breaking the law.

I asked clearly if they would accept age verification by methods other than sending my driving licence via email. I offered 3 options that give end to end encryption. It was never made clear to me that these options would not be accepted. I have the email string (17 in total) to prove that.

Once this company identified they had lost the sale to a more progressive company an attempt to gaslight me was made in telling me that my proposal would be a breach of the law.

Police Scotland clarified this would not be a breach in the law. Either it was a lie, or the individual had no understanding of the law pertaining to their industry and requires retraining.

I have now placed my order with another company who are happy to accept a picture of my driving licence sent via Skype.

Sending pictures of identification documents is not safe if sent via unsecured means. INSIST ON END TO END ENCRYPTION, most apps like Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, Skype use encryption. Email doesn't.

UPDATE: Outdoor hobbies have requested my order number. Anyone reading this will understand I never got to the ordering stage, instead I opted for a company that hasn't lied to me about the law pertaining to distance selling of age restricted items. I will happily send the string of emails to trust pilot to prove my interaction took place.

UPDATE 2: outdoor hobbies tried to have my review removed. As you will see I had a verified interaction with this company.

You're right, no company should sell age restricted items without seeing proof of age. Unsecured email is not a safe way full stop to provide this as it can easily be intercepted and used for identity theft. As a previous victim of identity theft I will not take any chances of this happening again. A more progressive company that embraces new technology like Skype and WhatsApp, and is willing to move with the times has already made the sale of an RDX400 to myself without any compromise to safety. I'm not certain how this would make it easier for a minor, as they don't usually have a driving license, and since you don't require face to face interaction the risk level is identical to what you posit. Except the company I bought from saw my face and could prove I was who was pictured on my license sent with end to end encryption, much safer in stopping minor's purchasing an age restricted item 👍

Would like to say huge thanks to Gary for helping me with the delivery process. I'm not gonna lie I have been waiting little while to receive my crossbow after payment, BUT Gary was very reassuring and very kind in explaining to me what's been going on because of the current state of the World at the moment due to corona virus. At first i was only suppose to be receiving the jaguar crossbow package in normal black colour condition. But because of the slight delay Gary had put forward for me to be upgraded to the camo free of charge which i was so happy about! Assembled the crossbow instructions was basic but I got there in the end. Shoots perfectly accurate once zeroing the red dot sight. Fantastic package, Fantastic quality. Will definitely be buying another crossbow when i'm paid next month Thank you to the team at Outdoorhobbies!

Waited 41 days for my order not to arrive then was told it would realistically be 61 day until I receive my delivery. Only giving outdoor hobbies a 2 star rating due to quick response time to questions I asked and the speed of the refund they sent me. Very disappointing.

I ordered the r9 cobra crossbow and I am pleased with the product and the service I received. Felt connected from the time I purchased it and till the time I received it.

Ordered my R9 Cobra 5 days ago, turned up today. Packed well, everything I ordered was included, I noticed a check sheet that OutDoorHobbies use so that was good as I could verify what was in the box also. Instructions for the R9 - worth the 15 minutes to read through as it took me seconds to assemble. Communications with Gary @ Outdoorhobbies was quick and helpful - I'll be buying my accessories from here, I am that pleased.
