We were looking for a 3 piece suite and found ourselves in the St Helens store of Joseph James. The store had a large selection of suites. The two staff members Gary and Leah introduced themselves and then left us to browse at our leisure. They were on hand to advise us when required. We made our purchase and it was delivered a few days later. No fuss, no hassle. The delivery team also removed our old sofa.
From the moment we entered the store until delivery was completed, the service was first class. No pushy sales, just a very pleasent shopping experience. The shop staff and the delivery team were excellent. I would highly recommend this company.

My mum had been searching for a new sofa for a long time, but everything she liked was way out of her budget. Thankfully, a friend recommended Joseph James, and they were absolutely fantastic.

We dealt with Gary, who was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. Thanks to his help, my mum found gorgeous sofas that look incredibly stylish and provide excellent back support for her bad back—all at a fraction of the full retail price! The delivery service was also sharp and efficient.

We didnt make a purchase today but we had to review the Fantastic customer service which we witnessed today in St Helens, nothing was too much trouble , allowed me to look round without being pushy. Very knowledgeable, displayed the models we were looking at . Didnt purchase as awaiting to buy our home so unsure on floorplans and sizes but the care and attention that GARY ST HELENS gave us was second to none. Also was in the shop alone and acknowledged all customers entering and leaving the store. Other customers commented on how Gary was present to everyone and the music was great also coming from the media sofa which we are looking at for our new property. Gary very professional and would be a perfect manager leading the company into the future.

Update on my experience with Order 59502

I am updating my review as the situation has progressed.
The company has told me the following:

"Dear xxxxx

We have received your complaint and as per previous messages two of your issues were rectified within 24 hours. The third has a technician booked in for you and, in the meantime, we are awaiting to hear back from one of the directors. Also, the other director has informed customer service that no further help or action will be implemented until your negative review towards the company has been removed.

Regards"

To summarise:
The furniture arrived with incorrect cushions, unstable legs, and a visible fabric defect on the 3-seater sofa.
One technician inspected the fabric issue, treated it, and said it appeared to be a stress mark with little chance of successful repair. It remains unresolved.
The leg issue was fixed several days after delivery, not within 24 hours.
The cushion issue took multiple visits to address.
I have now formally rejected the goods under my consumer rights and requested cancellation and a full refund. This is still unresolved.

I am sharing this so other consumers can make an informed decision. I will continue to update this review as the situation develops.
