Very poor customer service, slow process of return & exchange
Unfortunately the cardigan I had ordered was far too large so I started the process to return it and exchange for a smaller size.
I received by email my return form documents but after trying 4 different DHL service points they all said the form was incorrect and couldn’t process it.
I ended up returning myself by next day signed for by Royal Mail. I sent several emails to them and the Communication was awful and it still took them a very long time after receiving it to send out a confirmation of receipt and the smaller sized item.
They promised to refund my postage and after a few emails to send photographic evidence of postage and payment and my Bank details, I still haven’t been refunded.
Would not use them again, Customer service is very poor and services are extremely slow.
Disappointing is a word I would use to describe what I thought was a reputable British company.

We try to respond to as quickly as possible to our customers but during busy periods those replies can be delayed. I can see that your first emails came at Christmas which is our busiest season and after the holiday we undergo a stock take. We are sorry if you felt neglected in that time and have made customer service aware of your review.
Regarding the DHL label not scanning, are you sure the drop off points you took them to were DHL? I don't ask this to cause any offence, but it is a somewhat common occurrence for customers wanting to a send a return having trouble with scanning their codes because they weren't using a DHL drop off point.
Regardless, since you've already sent it back with Royal Mail there is nothing to be done about that.
Regarding your refund, after checking our records, it and the reimbursement promised hasn't been given because we haven't received your return. We can only provide a refund once we've gotten the returned items and checked them. I have also made customer service aware of this and they checked the tracking information and suspect it was delivered to the wrong location. You should receive an email from them shortly to resolve this matter.

The coat was excellent, customer service not so.
The coat was excellent. A keeper for a lifetime. The only problem was I had to return the first coat (a size "L") because it was too small. Their "sizing chart" is not spot-on. I live in the USA and they don't pay for returns from USA to England. Shipping the return was $150. Ultimately, the "XL" cost I received was excellent - but add to it the shipping on the first return.

Thank you for your review. We're glad that you got a coat that was to your satisfaction in the end and apologize that you were unsatisfied before that. Was the coat that you originally ordered outside the +/-3% tolerance policy? If that is so then that would be a fault. As stated in our returns policy we don't cover shipping costs for returns from outside the UK. That is unless we are at fault. Since you emailed about a normal exchange there was no reason to pay for the return shipping.

Buy Your Size
I was bought this Churchill Peacoat for Christmas 2023 and was influenced to go up a size.
When I received it, it was on the big side.
I recently bought another, but now in "my size" and it's perfect.
Stick to your known size. Don't be tempted to size-up.

Gloverall always produces high quality clothing and packages items as if they are treasure, which they are. My friends grandfather worked for them in the 1950s and as I’m from near Earls Barton they’ve always been around but now have great collaborations

Fabulous Satchel
Excellent prompt delivery
The satchel is perfect for workout. I can fit my laptop and large diary and my headset for team calls etc all in.
Great size without it being too big and heavy.
Well made and finished well. I love the material pattern on the front with makes it a little bit more funky.
Would I use Gkoverall again - yes.

It took a really long time to receive…
It took a really long time to receive the products - weeks longer than expected. I purchased two t shirts size medium. The shoulder and chest size is correct but the t shirts are so long that they are like dresses and need to be shortened a lot.

However, you made your order on the Dec 28th, a weekend, so the earliest we could've sent it under normal conditions would have been the 30th. However, we were undergoing a stock take after the Christmas holiday so no orders could be sent at the beginning of January. We sent your order as early as possible. The length of the shirts was included in their sizes guides on the website.

Lack of Communication
My only disappointment was a lack of communication. My return/exchange was received but not processed. I needed to reach out again to get confirmation that the return was received.
Jake told me that I could not in fact exchange but would receive a credit for my return but needed to go back on the site and place a new order for the coat my wife wanted. All a little too conviluted.

Thank you for the 5 stars. We are sorry that you weren't satisfied with our communication. There is a delay between when you will be informed that your package has been delivered by the courier and when we have processed them because they need to be unpacked then the paperwork given over to be processed. When a refund is processed an automatic email is sent but if we can't process it then we email you but we hadn't reached that point. In your case, we couldn't process your exchange because, as Jake explained in the emails, we cannot exchange between garment styles. Apologies for any inconvenience this caused.

Great, so long as you don't need customer service
I bought a lovey jumper that started to come apart.
Four weeks, four emails, and a phone call later, they still haven't sent the promised return-postage-label.
And the jumper cost £130 ffs!
Later Gloverall replied "It hadn't been sent... because... you are entitled to a free label which you can get through the returns dashboard".
Maybe so. But despite (now) five emails and two phone calls, nobody told me that until now

Regarding the return label. It has been sent to you on the 5th. It hadn't been sent before then because as a UK customer you are entitled to a free label which you can get through the returns dashboard. Our customer serviced directed you to that service then provided the label for your temporary address when you couldn't use it.
