The jacket arrived quickly
The jacket arrived quickly. It fits great. I found a discrepancy between the sizing guide and the alleged fitting of the same jacket on the model pictured. It says the model is 6' 1" tall and with a 38" chest is wearing a medium jacket. Very unlikely. I am 5' 10" and a 42 chest and ordered the large (for a 44.5 inch chest) and it is a good fit, (but I wouldn't want to put on any weight!) So I'm taking a point off and adding my own caution regarding their sizing guides.
I do love the jacket. The quality is excellent.

Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear (read) that overall you were happy with your order and experience, but sorry that the sizing isn't as expected. To clarify, does your jacket not match the size guide?
If you are going to wear layers beneath your jacket then the 2.5" space might not be enough. The model was wearing one of our Moss Stitch Cardigan underneath the jacket and left a little more room so the 5.3" difference between their chest and the Medium is for that.
If your jacket doesn't match the size guide, if you have anymore concerns or want to address your review in more detail please contact our Customer Service team as they are best suited to helping with these things.

A few problems with the delivery…
A few problems with the delivery company, which was so preoccupied with a simple question of a free gift ... crossing borders became an important issue: I didn't quite understand what was going on. In any case, GLOVERALL customer service was very efficient and they were very responsive.

Great site, wide range and good descriptions.Very helpful fitting guides.I had occasion to email some questions and got a quick and helpful reply.The item I bought was a present and was delivered exactly as promised. The only negative was the tax imposed by the Swiss Customs but it was paid by the couriers and billed to the recipient so there was no hold up in delivery.
Overall an excellent experience and I would commend Gloverall to anyone and certainly use them again myself.

Beware the quality of the toggle is not…
Beware the quality of the toggle is not as good as what people mentioned on their coat before. Lasts only about 2 years.
You'd certainly expect the basic are fine for £400+.
Update: Turns out it happened to many people— Search "Monty Dufflecoat - jute ropes quick decomposition" on Reddit, some are broken only after a few wears.
Gloveall is also like oh you can buy replacement part, but not guaranteed they will be available. Like if you don't make something durable, you'd expect people to be able to get a replacement part for cheap…
Update for reply: I got the response from customer service. I mean if it's faulty, there should be some sort of free repair service as it shouldn't be the customer's fault to purchase additional goods and we likely can't sew as good as done at the factory.

We take pride in our products and aim for the highest standards, so we truly appreciate customers bringing issues like this to our attention. As you mentioned other customers have shared similar concerns and we changed our jute rope to a thicker version in response.
Regarding the replacement parts, the jute rope is meant to last and those that broke too quickly were the result of an unseen fault, that was why we changed to a different rope, so we don't keep stock to replace every coat we sell. We try to keep a stock of replacement parts for any repairs or refurbishing, but we cannot predict how many or few there might be, so there is a chance we might get lots of orders to deplete that stock. It will be restocked as soon as possible.
Please could you say where on the website it told you that we don't guarantee stock?

Update for Update for reply: I assume you are using a different name for your review so I can't connect this review to your communications with customer service. You are correct that a faulty product is not the fault of the customer, but we do offer replacements and/or repair costs and have provided such to customers that contacted our customer service about their jute rope. We don't ask customers to sew the repairs themselves, we would never advise that, and instead have the products returned for repair or if circumstances/preference dictates recommend finding a reputable tailor to do the repairing.
