Applied for an account on the 5th of august which was accepted, email states that the cards would arrive within 5 working days, it’s now been 8 working days, 1st time I called I was told they were dispatched on the 7th, when I enquired again I was told they were dispatched on the 6th. So it’s either lies or no one knows what’s happening. I was then told they would then send them again but expedited, which is another 3-4 working days after the weekend so will be another week.
Have cancelled my account before I even got a chance to use but they didn’t seem bothered about it, just said no problem. Might have been a blessing in disguise.

i would’ve provide 5 stars but the list of gas stations is a lie. not all of Shells stations accepts this card, not all of the tesco accept this card, just Saynaburys. so is frustrating getting to a shell or tesco station and after filling up the tank and walk in for payment, they tell you that they don’t accept fuelgenie card. specially IG and E postcodes. and driving to south of London they acceptit. same names: “shell and tesco”.

I work well with this company, but there is one problem - access to fuel stations is limited by hours, which is a big problem if you are on the road and need to refuel, then you have to use other companies that provide access 24 hours a day

Excellent so far, several months in. Have tried several other fuel card providers and all have stealth fees that are added without consent. Have found fuel genie to be an open and honest fuel card system and highly recommended.

Never use this company.
They are adding extra amounts which is very difficult to track, especially if you are making extra payments, to top up your cards. On top of that, if you paid them the deposit for the fuel card, they won't return it to you. That is a scam company.

Absolutely shocking customer service.

Signing up was an easy process but no card arrived. We called and were informed there was a delay due to a backlog of accounts.

Then we receive an invoice. Until you register a card you cannot access your account so we have no idea why we're being invoiced. Made several calls and was told the card was on it's way and no direct debit would be taken until the card was activated.

Then we get notified a direct debit was taken so we immediately cancelled the direct debit. They've still no clue where our card is and we still can't access our account.

Then we've had our account suspended and they've applied a £49 fee (which is completely illegal) and we still have no card and no access to our account.

I'm put through to credit control who have no interest in assisting, as far as they are concerned if a payment is missed or any issues with the direct debit then they apply a £49 fee. The fact I haven't received our card is not their problem, I need to raise the issue with customer services, I'm told to ring back and they hang up.

Shocking customer service, constantly passing the buck and if there are any issues they'll slap you with a £49 fee.

UPDATE: I've been waiting over a week for a response to all my emails, calling is useless as I get passed from department to department. We have yet to receive our card and activate our account yet they've tried to take a direct debit payment, charged £49 and now we've received further emails threatening legal action. Why? Because the direct debit payment we refused was a 50p charge to which they applied a £49 fee. These people are morons.

Please be aware that this company operates from a PO Box and are only available Monday to Friday limited hours. You cannot contact them in the evening or at weekends.

RESPONSE: Abysmal generic response from FuelGenie, particularly considering I've sent emails on a daily basis for the past 10 days. Trustpilot provided them with evidence of my account, they just chose to ignore it.

Pointless service. All happy to have your business for 4 years but the minute you miss a DD they want a deposit on the account even though they collect any spend every 7 days.

Terrible service with no benefits! Compare a lot of other companies with benefits and much more flexibility.

Already have emailed your enquiries team before a wrote this comment. No reply to the email but quick to a negative comment.

I have been using FuelGenie fuel cards for a few years and they are very cost effective for my business. They have always very efficiently dealt with issues and continue to be a great way of my workers purchasing fuel. Highly recommend.
