Disappointing experience and an unanswered refund request

After installing and configuring the plugin, I found that its customization options were too limited for my project, particularly the calendar’s appearance and settings.

I entered my Stripe keys and followed the documentation, but I could not get payments working correctly. I then tried WooCommerce, which added an extra step to the checkout process and made the experience more cumbersome for my customers. Some tutorial pages also displayed “Error establishing a database connection,” preventing me from accessing the instructions.

To be clear, I searched the documentation for answers; I did not contact support through chat or open a technical support ticket.

When I requested a refund, the company asked whether I had contacted support and offered to investigate. I replied on October 8, explaining that I had already implemented another solution, no longer wanted to use or renew the product, and wished to request a refund under their advertised 30-day money-back guarantee. As of October 13, I have not received a response to that email.

The product did not meet my needs, and the lack of follow-up on my refund request has made the experience more frustrating. I would appreciate a clear response and for the company to honor its advertised refund guarantee.

We purchased a lifetime license two years ago and have since managed around 160 events with thousands of attendees on our platform. Although fine-tuning the setup to meet our specific needs was initially a little challenging, we succeeded with the help of their support team and have been happy MEC users ever since. We would definitely choose it again.

Our company has been using Webnus, specifically the ME Calendar, for years. It's a great product that's very easy to use. The customer service team truly cares about customer privacy and security, which is always a plus. Would recommend!

Modern Event Calendar is a solid plugin with a reliable support team.

Contacted support as I didn't know how to change something. Was shown how but they then realised I was using an out of date version. They provided the new version. Uploaded and installed. The layout is now completely broken and controls not responding. Support sad they were there when I need them. They aren't there and not helping. My website is broken with no help.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Using the Modern Event Calendar is a great experience. Their product and support is second to none. We use the plugin for many sites and every now and then need some support and they are very responsive and we can highly recommend them.

While I've always been a fan of MEC's capabilities, I recently uncovered an issue where there was a theme conflict with some MEC CSS. I reported it to the MEC support team, and they had a full-blown release patch out in less than two days that FULLY addressed it! What amazing support - I'm truly appreciative!

Modern Event Calendar has strong potential and a solid set of features. On paper, it offers exactly what we were looking for, and when it works, it works well.

That said, we’ve run into a number of glitches that have created real complications on our website. These issues were not always obvious, predictable, or easy to diagnose, which made implementation more challenging than expected. We have had to do a lot of work arounds.

If you’re technically compentant with web development and comfortable troubleshooting plugins, this tool could be helpful. If not, the learning curve and ongoing fixes may feel frustrating. Unfortunately, we had already paid for the plugin before fully understanding the scope of these issues, or we likely would have reconsidered.

Support has also been a challenge. There does not appear to be live support, and submitting tickets puts the burden on the user to clearly articulate technical problems that may not be fully understood in the first place. In our case, having access to live support or someone who could quickly assess what was happening on the backend would have made a significant difference.

In short, this plugin has promise, but it currently feels better suited for technically experienced users who have the time and capacity to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

The price-performance ratio is perfekt. It's an excellent program with extensive functionality. The functionality is now flawless, and the program works reliably. It's also a great program for course management and course calculations, for example, for yoga studios.
Highly recommended.

They sometimes make changes to layouts of calendars and invoices/tickets, breaking the way the customer works. Getting in touch with support systematically is answered by telling the issue is with the customer. Only when the customer insists will they look further.
Also, each time you contact support with a problem, they send emails to sell you more stuff.
I am looking for alternatives and will kick the MEC components out as soon as I start announcing the next concert season.

Devo dire che i ragazzi si impegnano molto per cercare di offrire soluzioni sulla gestione del calendario eventi. Do 4 stelle perchè migliorerei la gestione dell'implementazione dei servizi o bug di sistema di alcuni plugin perchè in un mercato molto dinamico c'è sempre da sviluppare migliorie e la gestione a votazione non la trovo il miglior sistema perchè penso che poche persone vadano a leggersi tutti i casi e a mettere i mi piace ad ogni caso

Great experience so far with their Modern Events Calendar. I love the interface and find it pretty easy to work with once you set everything up. I could see this being overwhelming for some users as there are SO many options inside but again, once it's set, its great. Chat support was helpful to me the couple times I have required their help and were quick to jump on chat and be of assistance. Thank you!

What I liked about this plugin is that it is the only one that lets us create tickets for a Combination Event.

Unfortunately, getting support has been a challenge, and we had to wait weeks after an update before our MEC received payment. It has been two weeks since I intermittently stopped working. If this doesn't get results soon, we will have to look at other options. Our business relies on booking.
