Company is ok if your senior or above. i was subject to bullying and it was brushed under the carpet..

Voyage Care has been sold to a business investment firm in Kuwait. My profoundly disabled daughter has lived in one of their homes for about 10 years. I fought long and hard to get her into the local home. Now I need to fight long and hard to get her out ASAP!! I'm shocked at the depletion in her "Care Packge". Carpets have been ripped out and replaced with lino, soft furnishings have been replaced with vinyl, and the food is shocking. Don't entertain this firm!!!!!!

My uncle was subjected to neglect and serious safeguarding failures at Calvert House. A terrible place that urgently requires a CQC inspection. Care plans were out of date and not relevant to his care AT all. He was left vulnerable and scared, when these issues were brought up they were dismissed time and time again. If you care for your family members of friend never let them enter Calvert house or any voyage care!

Voyage Healthcare Normally I never make a complaints especially publicly, because I understand honest mistake happens.
But i have serious concerns regarding the care and administrative handling I have experienced with Voyage Healthcare since choosing them as my primary care after moving to Minnesota.

Unfortunately, every interaction has reinforced a pattern of unprofessionalism, poor communication, and lack of accountability.

Most concerning was my experience with one of their rheumatologists. During an appointment, I raised concerns about long-term bruising on my legs. The physician looked me directly in the eye and stated that these symptoms “meant nothing” to him, accompanied by a disturbing and dismissive expression. This interaction made me feel disregarded and unsafe as a patient.

In addition, I encountered repeated administrative failures. I had to call their scheduling department four separate times simply to confirm my surgery time. Despite the surgery being scheduled more than a month in advance, I was informed the day before the procedure that it had been canceled because a nurse had lost my paperwork, resulting in insurance issues.

This cancellation had serious consequences. On the work side, I had already arranged my own schedule and my team’s coverage, and I used 160 hours of paid time off to accommodate my recovery. At home, my husband coordinated with his employer to take one full week off from work in order to care for me post-surgery.

Beyond the logistical impact, the emotional toll was substantial. I went through significant anxiety and made considerable mental and physical efforts to prepare myself for surgery. After finally reaching a point of readiness, I was informed—at the last minute—that the surgery was canceled due to internal carelessness and unprofessionalism

These experiences demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism, coordination, and respect for patients’ time, health, and emotional well-being. I expect better standards of care and communication from a medical organization entrusted with patients’ health. Voyage Healthcare

The voyage care in Somerset Pawlett is rubbish. Not run properly at all. There isn’t any staff to support me whenever I am due to go out. It’s really not great so I don’t recommend it to any resident who has learning disability’s to attend any homes here

Awful company. Some support workers ok/outstanding. (Gary in particular). One “team leader”, spent more time playing games with his feet crossed on the sofa, on phone so didn’t notice my husband was having a seizure, luckily I happened to walk past. One SW didn’t use the bathroom but chose to pee up the wall by the back door during his cigarette break (pics for evidence)
And obvious wet patches on his joggers. One nice chap but so big and just dropped onto the sofa and broke it. Ok, I’m big but don’t bounce down. Final straw, phone call a few days before Christmas to say that they have could no longer send support. I was working full time and outside of that, a full time carer with 4 hours respite every two weeks on a Saturday 9-1. I had no shopping, no family to help or look after my hubby, so it was a bleak Christmas. They wondered why I was so upset and sent the police and mental health team??? Wtf? Most staff lovely, shout out to Gary who used to “send” flowers from my hubby at his own cost and John who heard about what was happening and turned up at the door with some basics.

I used to work for Voyage Care, and I’m ashamed I ever did. They claim to care, but they don’t. Serious concerns get covered up. Staff who speak up are treated like the problem. Nothing will ever ever change.

The people they support don’t come first. It’s all about protecting the company and its image. Good staff leave because they can’t watch this happen every day. I’m glad I left. Staying there and seeing vulnerable people let down constantly was unbearable.

There has been a huge turnover of managers in the last few years, with many leaving suddenly or being moved on with it being rumoured that they are being given a financial incentive, perhaps they know stuff that others don’t.

Experienced staff are leaving because serious concerns are ignored or mishandled. For example, I’ve left because I raised a whistleblowing concern as I was ignored and subject to detriment.

Safeguarding is not taken seriously. When safeguarding concerns are raised, they are often delayed with reporting to family members and the local safeguarding team and then watered down, or even dismissed entirely. Staff who speak up are treated as problem causers. Concerns raised about sponsored staff almost never lead to meaningful action. This creates an unsafe environment for the people receiving care and a culture of fear for us staff.

Voyage Care is a multi-hundred-million-pound business funded largely by public money, much of it intended to provide proper care and support. It is owned by private investment firms, including one backed by a sovereign wealth fund. Money appears to be prioritised for profit and investor returns rather than safe, effective care. Because if they used that money to the benefit of the people we support, I wouldn’t be writing this.

To the families of loved ones are supported by Voyage Care, they ask you not to install cameras in bedrooms, but you absolutely can, and it’s the right thing to do. After you have evidence, contact a journalist and share it with them. It’s the only way action will be taken!!!

Bunch of clowns, the manager her side kick and the remaining support worker are the biggest bunch of clowns I have ever met 🤣 no consistency, structure or stability from these people for the pws, none of the people they support are put first, only their own needs, a manger that thinks she is funny by making comments about another member of staff by saying "he'll have to fly his helicopter then won't he to the pws" why would you drag a pws into a bitchy comment, £20 was given to another member of staff for fuel so a pws could have a home visit in Sheffield, and when it was mentioned £20 wasn't enough, she said what she did, what a pathetic person and stupid comment to make Infront of a pws. The side kick isn't much better-if you don't want to be asked anything about your partner not liking your dog and doesn't want it in the house, don't sit in a pws's flat and talk about them then, then moan that you don't like being asked questions about your partner and dog, durrrr ! you won't be getting very far in your career 🤣 and as for the remaining support work "an accident waiting to happen" you elephant in the room" maybe if you stopped smoking "the good stuff" you may get somewhere in your life but I very much dought it, worse place ever to work, none of them know how to run a service lol, bunch of liers,I was accused of putting in a safe guarding and it was Amy Withers that did it but own up to it NO ! the support worker that's left at Barrows Reach threatens the pws by saying "she will leave if they tell management" she is intimidating and she manipulation them into what she wants to do, takes their choices away from them and does not promote independence and the manager is happy for this, FFS Beth Boyde (or what ever it is) told me she is very confrontational 🤣 you'll meet your match darling, managers little pet, get a pat on the head,well done 🤣, I thought the last manager was stupid but this one is a first class grade A numpty, voyage care is such a poor run company, the top dogs need to realise this and as for the pay "don't bother" plenty of well ran care companies offering more pay and treated way better for your commitment and service,Barrows Reach is so poorly ran it's a joke, can see this place shutting HOPEFULLY ! the one guy may have a chance of a better quality of life and won't get bullied by management and staff

I worked for voyage care for 2.5 years loved it so much I’m a lady of a certain age and struggling with menopause I was assured the company supports this I brought it up in every review I was reassured they supported menopause the last straw was I had a questionnaire about my menopause a tick list No support what so ever ……. I told the field support I was struggling after a tick list on her lap top she closed her lap top no support what’s so ever a week later I walked out I’m under investigation for being firm but fair …… in 2.5 yrs we had 6.5 office new staff new rules pws and staff didn’t know weather it’s Xmas or Easter with new rules come on voyage support is women of a certain age ……. I feel like going to the media I do have a family member in the media she wants me to speak up x

I have worked for this company for more then 5 years .Mostly in senior position .I have met and work productive with few of management staff over these years of my activity .Until 2023 when a Clinical Lead have been hired. She was promoting the misconduct by encouraging the staff to swear in staff meetings , bullying at work (dragging staff in natzi meetings and accuse them unfairly)and unsafe practice caused by constant pressure.She created in this beautiful care home with absolutely amazing residents and care staff, her own toxic enviroment.Her management was rejected by any clinical staff.Is not at all an achievement to be senior and not have any clinical staff following you and believe in your management.From some strange reason she was proud of not leading anyone .No matter how many complaints have been raised by staff about her abrupt conduct , the Company and especially the Clinical Operations Manager who oversee that place preferred to ignore the real issue . A lot of staff suffered , most of them scared to come to work.I have been bullied by this Clinical Lead for months .Unfortunately for me the manager who conducted my case was the same who oversee the care home in Norton Fitzwarren .I have been left without any protocol to protect me over the grievance period ,at the sick pleasure of this Clinical Lead.Above all the company decided that is fair , healthy and safe for this Clinical Lead with suspicion of bullying to deal with my sickness formalities .Sickness caused by her constant pressure , abrupt approach and unfair treatment .I have requested this protocol to this manager who conducted my case with no reply ,like is normal .The outcome of my complaint was pathetic and weak .I have decided to leave the company before losing my health completely .I have realised at the end , these values which I believed in, this ETHOS doesn't exist anymore .I have heard recently that she has been invited to leave.Well done HR ,seems the rules and policies are applied randomly. I hope that at some point this company will review the work of their managers ,promote their values and protect the employees .I also hope that will never be another case of bullying at work.Don't forget that fame , credit , imagine are aspects of the business too.Having 64% negative reviews must tell you something.The date of my experience is wrong , the calendar doesn't allow me to set it in 2024 when I've raised my concerns.

If you look at the responses on here from the lower management that should confirm everything being said in the reviews regarding the Edinburgh services, its blatantly aggressive & they are talking the way they talk around the pws & exactly as described in the negative experiences others have highlighted. This is how the boss likes it - toxic. It's good in a way that this is the case as it gives legitimacy to those people & suggests the management aren't clever enough to see this. Calling whistle blowers horrible names & attacking them? Questions regarding fake names? Come on, we've been bullied enough & some of us sadly very ill because of the experience, so maybe think about that when you can't understand why people don't want to be subjected to anything else "the boss" puts you lot up to. Also worth considering some of the management aren't even aware or haven't met the people they are slandering.

Just want to highlight that not all of the people in these services are bad people, some are very nice & good at the job, it's just ashame that they don't have any good leadership we all hope these reviews help towards making that change in the future, for the staff & the pws.

It's folk like you who don't give a rats ass about vulnerable adults! Do you suffer from mental health and spoke to management about it? No I didn't think so, so why not keep your options to yourself! Voyage Care is THE best and ARE understanding about mental health and they do help you through it.

I have worked with Voyage Care at Tweedlodge, Edinburgh for 8 years, and it has truly been one of the best companies I have ever worked for. The level of care and compassion shown to the people we support is outstanding, and the training provided is extensive and empowering.

I have been working on the bank for over 2 years with voyage care. I have suppoted in most services including Tweed Lodge where staff are brilliant and the care and support is out of this world. I have recently decided after 20 years of working with the council to go full time with Voyage. This decision has been the best decision I have ever made. The support I have received from colleagues and management has been second to none. I was supported by Voyage through the transition period and made the decision due to the amazing teams, excellent training, support, regular supervisions, and the dedication that staff have towatds the people we support. Management are available 24/7 and will come help at a moments notice. Stephanie Barr recently came to my aid during a difficult shift and supported us to ensure we were ok and felt supported. Norma Muir and the management have been kind supportive and always around when needed. Management get involved in all activities and support with PWS and its clear they are well liked by staff and PWS.
It saddens me that when people leave Voyage they feel the need to target the service as it shows more about them than the people they bad mouth. Norma has an open door policy and will support any staff who are struggling and will offer alternatives and support. Its unfair that disgruntled ex staff who were incapable of doing their job have the audacity to slander good hard working people. I will always stand up for what I belive in and call out anything I feel needs addressed.

I have worked a voyage for 5 months it is one of the best care company I’ve worked for the training it very good and the staff and the manger are all very supportive and i always feel welcome every shift I come on I really enjoy being there at voyage care

I have worked for this company for 4+years and I have never regretted joining this company the training is second to none my manager is very supportive and encourages all her staff to do well. The people we support receive fantastic care in a friendly positive environment for both staff and residents if you are committed to providing excellent care then you will excel with voyage care

I have worked at voyage care in Edinburgh for 2 and half years. This was my first job in the care industry, the staff and the management have been the best support to me since day one. I have gone from support worker to senior support worker by working hard and learning the job thanks to the support from my managers.
It breaks my heart to see such negative reviews towards a company and toward management who only do their absolute best to make sure that the people who are supported have the best chance at everything they want and need.
These negative reviews are from disgruntled ex-employees who did not ‘care’.
This is a great place to work, and you’ll do well here if you’re compassionate, caring and have integrity.

Stephanie Barr is clearly an idiot!! Who is in the area managers pocket. Nor is this a fake profile. I lasted a month with this excuse for a care company In Edinburgh The home was badly organised and the staff extremely clique. Basic rules were being broken.
The manager held court in the office and had favourites.
In the end following a very trying day with a rude, bossy member of staff and having an accident after work, I decided I couldn't face working in such a toxic environment
