Disgusting company. Lies cheats and steals. Manipulation of service users to avoid accountability. An unprofessional company who seems to farming service users. Management are bullies and completely incompetent.
Tired to steel hours from me a wanted me to work on call and not get paid both manager and area manager of Selborne house are vile people would never work for them again .. bullies and thieves

I applied for a cleaning job through CareTech/Cambian and was asked to fill out an extremely long form on their site detailing every period of my life since I was 11 years old, 11YEARSOLD (despite the interview went good and they wanted to hire me). I spent over 7 hours completing it (as they ask you for every kind of personal data), only for the system to erase most of my data despite I saved many times. This process is completely disproportionate and very poorly managed. They pretended that I would do it again, despite they already had my CV, and the place where I was supposed to work wanted to hire me and I had all the documents for the dbs(all this for a cleaning job in a school when it's closed for only ten hours per week, so kids aren't even involved in any part of the job).
I refuse to spend 14 hours filling infinite forms that nobody will read, for a cleaning job that isn't even part-time.

Had interview in April 2025 told same day I got the job my DBS and references all came back clear/good but then wasn’t given a start date until July when I eventually started I found there to be a “ favouritism/clicky culture between management & certain staff at my workplace I stuck it out until I resigned at the end of Sept from the time I started (July) until I resigned ( Sept) I have not recieved any wages from Caretech at all even though my manager and payroll have both confirmed I’m owed the money all I was getting is “ I’ll sort it it’ll be in your bank by Friday” as of today I’ve still not recieved any of the money owed to me I tried to contact Caretech head office only to find I’ve been banned from there website! I’ve tried to contact my manager at my former place of work but the phone just rings with someone picking it up & then putting it down I wouldn’t recommend Caretech to anyone!

I currently live at one of the Sheffield based homes and the management is appalling matched alongside lazy, useless staff that don't do the jobs they are paid to do.

Nothing but bad experiences have happened since I moved here in 2018 and whenever you question anything that goes wrong they just try and twist it around on other people.

Last week, a new neighbour moved in who absolutely REEKS of urine and they are not doing anything about it, I now how to live with that smell. It seeps in through my flat and it smells like it's inside with me.

Avoid this company like the plague if you want a happy life, do not send your loved ones to live here.

This company is sexist.

I would give it negative 100 if I could. Don't care about staff, children run the home not the staff. Staff held on shift against there will when sickness. Staff brought in on false promises. Regional managers not knowing what they are doing. Some homes are tatty and worn down with inexperienced manager who couldn't manage their way out of sticky situations. Seriously awful

Some homes very biased on sex the area mangement only wanted women working at certain homes plus mangement are very clicky with team leader they tell you if your not happy with team leader go to management when you go to mangement even if team leader is in the wrong they stick up for the team leader very bitchy attitude and place to work people come on shift and admit to being under the influence of drugs when raised with managment its ignored plus some of these homes are supposed to be a stopping point for residents to eventully have their own property as thats what we are giving them skills to do its supported living not care but people have been stuck there for 17yrs plus who are able to do everything them selfs but refuse to because they want staff to do it for them also people have being housed in supported living which should be in care not supported living. Ie deaf cant hear smoke alarms even fitted with a vibrating pillow but still dont get out of bed and you have to wash them brush there teeth that is not supported living that is care

Wouldn’t really recommend honestly. Staff are completely useless, they hire anybody who passes a DBS check, and there always seems to be problems with the pay. I worked here for almost 3 years and 8 out of 10 times there was something wrong with the payslip. I can’t fault the manager when it comes to helping staff with their mental health, however when it comes to supporting the staff through other areas of the job, there’s nothing. Training is useless, I could watch a youtube video and learn more. Probably would avoid this job if you can.

Was going to apply for a role, but based on the amount of negative reviews by previous staff or service users.
I think I'm going to swerve them.

Been working for CareTech for last 3 months and every pay date is a problem, Always underpaid, Manager not picking the phone, not answering on emails. When calls back just excuses what paperwork needs to be done etc. but even after 3 months (!!) did not receive full payment.
Company runs beautiful carehomes and work atmosphere in company is brilliant, just what I see as a problem is payment.
Currently preparing case for employment tribunal, got all evidence so I will win for sure, but that time till I see my money is annoying as needed to borrow money to pay my bills.

Testing Company new

Over 10 years ago, I worked for this organisation for only 1.5 days and was wrongly accused of physically assaulting a service user on my 2nd day of work. (GREATEST ACCUSATION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE TILL DATE. I STILL FEEL DEEPLY DEEPLY HURT IN MY HEART TILL DATE).

I was asked to leave the home immediately. No one from the organisation contacted me (no mail, no phone-call or email). They simply referred me to POVA without any consultation or investigation to hear me out and eventually got a call from the police (after about 4 weeks) inviting me to the police station. Luckily I was provided an excellent lawyer from my community who followed me to the police station on the agreed invitation date. Police conducted thier investigations and found zero evidence of assault or misconduct, thus was EXONERATED.

This organisation subsequently had the effrontery to call me back to work again (after been exonerated) without any remorse or apology or reference to the incident. I simply ignored them.

I'm grateful to God Almighty for where I am today and to the management of this organisation knowing you will be notified of this review, "Expect Litigation in the Court of Law" regarding this as my lawyers will definitely be in contact with you no matter how long.

I will never forget nor forgive until Justice is served.

People should never be treated like TRASH but with RESPECT & DIGNITY.

I have worked for CARE TECH for over 3 years, in the Manchester area, my workplace had various locations from Hyde, Stockport, Trafford, and more. CARE-TECH is a horrifying company! Management is unprofessional and extremely racist, I had to deal with 2 ladies (the Head of North and the Head of the Service ) is simply a shame not only for the company but for everyone who has to deal with them. Please if you don’t have to not work for CARE TECH, especially if you are from another country, you get no respect from service users, co-workers and ridicule management who presents like clown gathering (gory tattoos, very bad fitting outfits few sizes too small, poor manners and on the top unprofessional practice like not paying for extra time at work).CARE TECH not promoting individuals but letting service users be disrespectful to support workers. I’m deeply ashamed I was working for CARE TECH! Staff like management very unprofessional with sticky fingers so keep your belonging close. The staff is a drug addict and has alcohol problems, same as service users with similar issues. Please avoid Stockport Service and Hyde is run by the most unprofessional and ridiculous area manager. Is a shame, and not safe for staff or service users.

CareTech employ anyone with a DBS with no experience whatsoever allow them to work alone without having had any training or previous experience in supported living with such vulnerable people. Managers do not respect or even care about their employees or service users it’s all about earning an not people’s feelings I’m sad to say. 😔

Caretech is possible one of the worst agency’s we have ever used. Shifts are often cancelled at the last minute. They invoiced us on a monthly set rate without our knowledge even though shifts were not covered or cover wasn’t needed.
