How can i rate you as i have not made a claim ?

Zero stars. Totally abysmal complaints procedure and customer service.I bought a car insurance and wanted to temporarily extend it for our son who lives in Japan and told the policy did not allow that. The agent confirmed that none of the documentation that I was sent both pre sale and when I purchased the policy gave me that information.

I complained about this on 6 July 2026 and got a response saying that the complaint (ref 5649013) had been resolved. I responded immediately and asked for details as to the resolution. Despite sending two chaser emails I never got a response, On 17 September 2026 I tried to use the Chat facility to obtain information on the resolution. The chat started with a Chat bot but I got passed from bot to bot five times with repeat requests to repeat the same information . On one occasion the bot told me it was human before saying it would pass me to a human. I have spent one hour and 46 minutes and have got absolutely nowhere. I believe I was mis-sold a policy and should be financially compensated for that and the abysmal customer service I have received.

The insurance quote I received, in my opinion was very competitive and fair the web site eas easily followed and the agent I spoke to was helpful.

First it was the name AA, secondly I wanted to see if my original car insurance company were up to date with there price so I wanted another quote to compare, and thought you would give me an honest quote for my car. I also have been a motorcyclist all my life and had a bad accident in 2003 where I had a head injury and lost a lot of my life. for the last years of my working life I was under the Head injury unit near by. I was a design engineer involved with steam boiler houses/power stations etc. I used to know how the world runs and how people decide on what to buy etc. I have been lucky and some parts of the memory have returned. So please keep the AA name at the front of motoring in the UK.

This is first time got insurance with AA so early days yet.

Fantastic experience, my contents insurance had expired by a couple of days and the teleoperator made it so easy to restart the policy and keep my no-claims intact. Cheers

Easy & the guy was really professional who I dealt with.

Any real test is yet to come, as I've just joined the AA insurance. The real test is when I need you/to make a claim

But I switched from Admiral because you were cheaper, for the same kind of policy/cover

Initial impressions are your website seems simple and well laid out, but I've not really had to try and DO anything yet
