Chose the AA from Confused.com, going through all details was very quick and easy and a brilliant car insurance quote.

Documents came through quickly.
Noticed a mistake on the statement of fact. Trying to get through on the telephone was a bit of a nightmare. Rang 3 times. 30 plus minute wait, no one answered. So, I asked for a call back. In fairness this happened relatively quickly. The lady I spoke with was really helpful and sorted out the issue.
The AA app is good.

The best bit was speaking to a human being who was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I really do not like online portal insurance or dealing with non-existent AI chat boxes. Insuring through the AA was like a breath of fresh air. Wonderful!

The process of linking from a comparison site then reviewing the quote was good. But since accepting the quote I have had repeated issues registering for the onsite account which has now become very frustrating as I can't manage the account online.

Hit a deer in the pitch dark which clearly had suicidal intent in the remote Scottish Highlands.

Car did not look too bad and was driveable but obviously there was a little crumple to the front. Lights etc were fine. I went online and started a claim, received an immediate email acknowledgement, then suggested repairers were identified. All very near me. I uploaded photos and the car was booked in 3 days later. No problem to get a courtesy car.

So the repair process took weeks and weeks for what looked like fairly minor damage to the car but that is not the AA's fault. I found it remarkably easy process and the one question I had, I got an AA person on the phone straight away and they answered my query with ease.

My only negative feedback points are:
1. only automatic cars were offered as a courtesy cars (and I hate them)
2. I don't know what the total cost of repair is and I am going to need to phone up to ask now that my renewal has come through, as I need to declare the cost of the repair when getting quotes from other repairers.
3. I resent the incident being labelled as 'own fault', as tbh, my recall is that Bambi jumped like a little lamb on springy legs in the Disney movie and this great big beast lept out of nowhere as if it was on springs. Impossible to avoid.

Quick and inexpensive. AA has the best economy for drivers.
