⭐⭐☆☆☆ Disappointing delivery experience – still waiting

I placed an order with Debenhams on 15 September, and at the time I was given a confirmed delivery date of 21 September.

The delivery date was important to me and was actually the reason I decided to place the order.

Unfortunately, it is now 01 October and I still haven’t received my parcel.

I contacted customer services, who apologised and said they had contacted the courier to find out why the parcel had been in transit for so long and requested that it be delivered as soon as possible. However, despite this, I still have no parcel and no clear delivery date.

Customer services have contacted me again and said they would re-deliver the parcel. But, I have heard nothing since.

What is particularly frustrating is the lack of useful information. I understand that delays can happen, but I would expect a company to be able to provide a clear update when an order is now ten days past its promised delivery date.

I hope Debenhams can resolve this quickly, but based on my experience so far, I’m very disappointed with the delivery service.

I’m pleased with this

This parasol looks lovely in the garden and offers great coverage. It is easy to open and adjust. at 4ft 10in, I found it straightforward to put together by myself, the instructions were very clear, and they also included a long stick to help put the cover over the top when not in use, its a great addition especially for me. I’ve had it for a few months now, and it has been fantastic throughout the summer and autumn. Even on really breezy days here in the North East of UK, the stabilisers have done a brilliant job. It looks absolutely beautiful at night with the built-in lights. I would definitely recommend this banana parasol for any garden!

Excellent product quality and the delivery was very speedy, especially considering the additional red tape that has been implemented since Brexit.

The outfit I ordered did not fit but the quality was OK and a size bigger would have been fine. I am size 12 and ordered a medium. Nevertheless I was offered a full refund and the customer service was good.
