I dont normally buy Spar's own brand of anything due to experience. This is the second time I tried these salt & chilli sizzle steaks. Warning - not suitable for anyone with dentures. You would need an angle grinder or other power tools to cut these steaks.

Spar Weston Super Mare. The worst customer service I have ever encountered in any town, city or village in the entire world. Red haired person completely and shockingly rude to the point of being certifiable. It actually verbally abused me and then struck me.

Bought a bag of mini doughnuts today from our local store but stupidly forgot to check the date. It was only when I thought I was biting into a door stop that I realised I had purchased a bag of doughnuts with an expiry date of yesterday. I would have gone back to the store but had already hobbled up there with my walking stick following a recent operation. This is not the first time there has been a problem with their use by dates, although previously I did manage to avoid buying a pack of liver pate a few weeks out of date, only because the contents had turned a shade of green around the edges so I handed it to an assistant. Make sure you check dates before you buy!

Extremely rude woman. Rolled her eyes and "tutted" constantly when I was trying to drop off two DHL parcels for collection (they're a service point, apparently). Keep in mind these parcels are registered as "small" on DHL's website. She was ranting about not having the space, can't take them. An unpleasant woman who proceeded to then argue with me when I pointed out how rude she was being about it. She has ensured I will never step foot in that store again and, if you want customer service, I suggest you actively avoid it too - The Co-Op is across the road so, thankfully we have choice for shopping there.

sold me some reduced price items that were going mouldy... i think these were well past their use by date

Don’t buy a Spar branded Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap.
On opening the wrap I thought the wrap looked thin, so opened the wrap to find virtually no filling in the wrap.
Awful experience, will not be returning to Spar for grab and go food.

South molton is my home town and I go back to visit my mother but unfortunately I am in a wheelchair now. But I went to go to the local spar shop in the square and there was a 12 inch step. Well that is impossible and there must be so many that has the same problem, but I also got told they have a disabled ramp at the post office at the back. What's the point if you can't give in and out of the shop. This is disabled discrimination and we can't fly up steps.
I ended up going to the garage down the road where I had no problem getting in, spar should sort this problem out else they will lose customer's.

If this problem get sort I will remove this feedback

Very bad staff I am purchasing rice there....staff is told me don't take 4 bag take only 2 bag....that rice for sales only or not for sales .....very bad service......I am not coming again.

Went in to Spar in Newent this morning and bought a 120 gram bar of Cadbury Daim. Bought this a couple of times recently and charged £1. price marked for all Cadbury 120 gram on the shelf even though on the pack and all other Cadbury 120 grams is £1.25. The lady on the till wouldn't listen to what I was saying and charged me £1.25. Had the same happen earlier in the week when I bought a tin of Winalot dog food marked 95p on the shelf but price on tin was £1.15. Lady on the till on that occasion did listen. She checked with back staff and confirmed and charged me 95p. Watch out for being charged more than price marked on the shelf as most shoppers don't, they just pay what is asked. To be fair I've also had this happen at the Coop when I bought their sausages but prices are high enough without being overcharged 20%.

Prices differ from label too scanned at till.
Dairy product and milk often spoiled. Warm in fridges.

Absolutely amazing service from Maria in the spa shop in Charfield! I will recommend this store to everyone

My son commented recently that his 2 years at collage were made bearable due to a particular staff member at a nearby spar.
Each day he would walk past other shops because the regular staff member was Kind to him. My son suffers with anxiety and struggles to enter shops.
He also hates walking, so the service must have been excellent.
The spar is near the collage of west anglia in kings Lynn.
2020 to 2022 school years.
My son doesn’t remember the male staff members name but the man’s kindness helped him to overcome his fear of shops and he has gained a lot more independence.

I can’t underestimate the positive impact this has had on my sons life.

I have put the last day of term as the date however the experience was over two years.

Prices seems to go up everyday week way over priced

I've never seen so much litter and filth outside of a shop before,it looks like a dump..crown wood bracknell

Abysmal click and collect service! I was tracking an online delivery only to find the message on the day the parcels were due to arrive "Refused - Returned to Sender" - Royal Mail tried 3 times to deliver and failed. I complained to the retailer that had listed the shop as a collection point but they had little interest in finding out why delivery was refused so won't use either again. Lesson is do NOT use this store as a collection point.

l brough a 5 Litre Silverbrook Fall Natural Mineral Water Bottle from a Spar Store in Wednesbury, West Midlands , the store said it was £2.45 . l said that is expensive, he said he would look at Spar website and he said he checked and it was £2.45. But when l went home and checked on Spar website the same bottle was £1.65, l had put in Complaint at Spar, it has now been over 2 weeks, still No reply from Spar. l will not be shopping at Spar stores again.

The Spar at Queensway Lambeg has extremely loud pop music blasting out all day until closing time.
It’s an uncomfortable shopping experience and over the past 6 months I’ve past some customers in the aisles complaining to each other about this, however I don’t know if any of them complained to the management. But I did and was told by a manager called Tony that he wasn’t able to turn it down at this time.
Returning a week later, the non- stop music is still blasting out loudly.
I will not be shopping in this store again as the management doesn’t care about customers hearing and it is an endurance test which I could well do without.

Thanks to the consistently great staff at Spar Gartloch Road Glasgow. Always helpful and friendly, with a great range of groceries on offer at prices below local large shops and supermarkets. A pillar of the community, particularly over the last 2 years.
