I used the wingerworth chesterfield store regularly. The staff are friendly. It is fantastically stocked and within 20 minutes walk from my home. The manageress always welcomes me and offers assistance where necessary. They even packed my bag this morning as on previous occasions. Friendly. Local. Well stocked. Convenient.

chelmsford every time i go in there salad,bread,milk ect are out of date that day no reductions didnt even acknowledge it thing is i needed bread and there was no where else

Disgraceful rip off at Spar North Tawton, Devon being charged £2.50 for a 100gm jar of Colmans Mustard.
This store is renowned for over-charging and should be called to account.

My 8 year old child is utterly traumatised after a staff member called dan took her into the storeroom to play "mortal combat" except there was no console. Poor kid hasn't spoke in weeks.

Cumbernauld village store the guys are fantastic, Super friendly and great range of groceries

My local spar over charging the whole community. Time after time my shopping is more than I should be paying I add up my shopping on my phone so I’m not going crazy at how much difference my shopping is at the till . I really feel sorry for the youngsters. I’ve also been told the boss doesn’t like them messing with the labels so the overcharging is deliberate. So this is every time I make a visit I have to get them to go and check if I’m correct and yes every time 1.98 overcharge and that was on 1 item . Always check your spending in the local shops rouge trader . I’m sick of it . Always check if you’re not overpaying at the till . This is mammpits spar Shaftesbury .

It was not going wrong in Spar, Clifton Green , York only today, but almost every time I do my shopping there. Never saw such unkind, totally unprofeshional staff.! You expect better
from elderly women staff. Decided to stop shopping in Spar. Its a disgrace!

Spar at 21 Barrachnie Rd Glasgow refuses to sell customers fresh bread rolls.
Unless you purchase them filled from the takeaway counter.
What's the point in selling fryup packs with NO rolls. Totally unhelpful and shocking service.
Won't be returning.

My local branch is excellent staff are wonderful etc
My issue is that Eurospar continue to stock eggs from caged hens. A totally outmoded and cruel farming method!
I have twice contacted Eurospar to raise this issue. I have never received a response by way of explanation etc.
I am beyond disgusted! The ethics of this company are obviously non-existent where animal welfare is concerned.
Having worked as a 15 year old on a battery chicken farm 50 years ago I have first hand experience of these places. I lasted two days. It was a scene from Hell. Fifty years on Eurospar are still condoning this practice!
Eurospar I would like a response. I intend to take this matter further!
Please do NOT cite price as an issue. People can afford vapes, fizzy drinks etc they can well afford to spend an extra 50p on their eggs to save a hen from a life of torture.

Fruit & Veg is never fresh. It is literally impossible to buy potatoes from Spar that aren't in an advanced state of sproutage. I opened a bag of their own-brand "hand-cooked" (whatever that's supposed to mean) crisps a month before the expiry date and they were stale and completely flavourless. The checkout is a slow tedious process because there's nowhere to pack your own bag so you have to just stand there while they scan everything and put it back in the basket and then forget which items they've already scanned and start again. Pathetic amateur operation.

Staplehurst need to train their staff manning post office counter .
Post father’s death certificates recorded delivery to my step mum so she could arrange funeral .
Staff member put wrong post code and didn’t ask return address. Now lost delaying everything .

Spar and Royal Mail useless they have as good as said they are not recoverable.

Caused not just upset but delayed a funeral .

aujourd'hui 23 mai 2026 vers 16 h 33 je suis revenue dans ce magasin (spar millau) et pas de chance la caissière est partie de sa caisse pour bavarder avec une autre caissière, ma cb ayant été acceptée je lui ai demandé les tickets caisse et cb elle m'a répondu "une minute, vous êtes bien là au frais..." franchement ça ne s'arrange pas déjà l'an passé j'avais eu un problème de plaques de chocolat jetées et ayant dit qu'elles allaient se casser on m'a répondu qu'il fallait bien le casser pour le manger...

I will not be using this store again

All I do is buy a paper here every morning for a family member before work. They have now put the paper stand outside the shop. Why is this? I just think with it being outside that we, who buy papers are being pushed out. Do the new owners not want to sell news papers anymore. As it seems this way. :( I doubt that the new owner of spar will even see this.

Banned me for “sectarian recordings” because I wore a Celtic top and Ireland jacket to my local spar in bleary, the real reason I believe I was banned was due to the employees being ableist as they had to get items from shelves for me multiple times due to me being in a wheelchair

Amazing how a so-called manager (Sedbury branch) could change the atmosphere of a neighbourhood store and turn it to a confrontational battlefield where racism is a normal practice.
The huge South African manageress with fizzy hair can only be explained as someone who lives to keep the spirit of the apartheid alive. If your skin is not her choice of white, she will make you feel unwelcome and you will be treated with contempt.
You will be made to wait a long time to be served at the tills and unless there is a long queue at the post office counter, no one will show up to serve you and this is almost exclusively when the mentioned manageres is on duty.
I just find it upsetting that people like her are still allowed to freely display their racism freely and openly.

The worker named Ryan has a horrible attitude and throws items at customers

Delivery drivers not respecting the 30mph limit on villages. Regardless of there being dogs, horses, children, elderly people walking this village. I've reported it but because they can't find a store with the villages postcode, they can't escalate it.... I've explained there's no spar in the village but that shouldn't matter!
