Excellent customer service – the staff was very helpful and friendly. The whole rental process was smooth and straightforward, and there were no problems at all. A very pleasant experience overall. I would definitely use this car rental service again.

Bestilte bil i god tid og forhåndsbetalte denne. Da turen nærmet seg ble kredittkortet mitt sperret etter at det ble forsøkt svindlet. Jeg manglet dermed fysisk kredittkort, men hadde opplysningene for det nye kredittkortet tilgjengelig Derfor tok jeg kontakt med Sixt (Haugesund) om å få sjekke inn på forhånd og oppgi kredittkortopplysnigene. Dette gikk fint, men en stund etterpå ble jeg oppringt med beskjed om at jeg ikke hadde bestått kredittsjekk. Noe mer opplysning hadde de ikke, og jeg måtte avbestille leiebilen og bestille hos en konkurrent. Konklusjon: Styr unna Sixt.

Ich möchte jeden warnen, der bei Sixt in Norwegen ein Auto angemietet hat. Mehr als 4 Monate hat es gedauert, bis wir eine Rechnung für die Selbstbeteiligung nach einem Schaden bekamen. Vereinbart war, dass die Selbstbeteiligung von der hinterlegten Kreditkarte abgebucht wird. Das haben sie nicht gemacht und es kam sofort ein Schreiben vom Inkassounternehmen. Solche Geschäftspraktiken habe bisher noch nicht erlebt.

Car was significantly damaged in a number of areas and never repaired previously. Cruise control did not work. Be sure to take pics and vids of *every* part of the car. I received notice from them that I was now responsible for a one inch line cosmetic abrasion on the passenger mirror - and they are attempting to charge me $400 for the repair and being 'out of service'. "Damage' on their own contract is 'a scratch through the paint down to the metal - This is a injection molded black plastic and a clear coat scratch only. Be aware that some facilities will use 'damage' as a means of extra income, by charging exorbitant repair costs and then not actually repairing the vehicle, as this location is attempting to do.

Beskylder for skader som ikke har skjedd og tapper kortet i etterkant. Styr unna!! Her blir det bare ord mot ord og forferdelig kundeservice. Bruk seriøse aktører. Og husk å ta bilder og film av alt. Inkl inni dører og overalt!! Helt sjukt at det går an å oppføre seg sånn.

Nobody at car check in, no body at car check out though you insist that someone whitness the conform status of the car. 1 week after, you receive a charge of 5500 NOK for a 5 mm supplementary scratch on the hubcap in addition to the other already present, which have also been charged at the same cost and will never be repaired. 5500 x 5 scratch = 27 500 NOK, a good price to replace a hubcap. This practise is a pure robbery, I suppose only for tourists as Norvegians would have banned this company a long time ago.
You understand now why Sixt is the cheapest in Norway, to attract customers and charge them with unproved damages after rental. A creative business model which also damage Sixt reputation all over the world.

Warning / Review

Rented car during work trip, nice new volvo. Took photos of 2 scratches/damages that was not marked in their papers in the wet rain on arrival figured this would be plenty in case something happened. Oh and one extra picture that fuel was not filled up.

No-one was there when I delivered the car, Two days after they come back with picture that looks like tiny white scratch on the same door I already took picture of bigger damage on. I tried to call them to understand what this was about. Company policy is that they do not answer phone only mail, yes really !

Their response to emails took several weeks and answered about half the questions i asked. Ignoring my pictures showing they had not checked the car from previous hires. Cost NOK 12 590 to polish out the white scratches on the same door that already had damage.

I asked if I can get proof they actually will fix it, NO because it is only cosmetic and they will do it when they have the time. (also after 3 other people have paid the same I suspect.. ) I also asked if they have some way of complaining on these things answer is NO you can try forbrukerombudet but we always do like this. I did get a sorry for the not filed tank of gas and I must understand difficult for the professional part to check thoroughly every time 😃

At least this was my last rental with them good luck to the next. Sixt platinum Trond signing off.

Makan til lite kundevennlig bedrift. Betalte neste 7000 kr for bil jeg ikke fikk utlevert, og de nekter å betale tilbake.

No one was waiting for me at pick-up time at the airport as indicated in my reservation, I had to find a local number so I can call the representative who showed up 20 minuted later at Lofoten islands airport.
At car return, also no one was available and I had to drop the key in an open box!
Post return by 3 days, I got a damage report saying I scratched the bumper, luckily I had photos and videos showing the scratch was there before I take the car. Only then they removed the damage cost!!!
The car was in very good condition thought and the price was competitive.

I rented a car in Bergen and returned in Oslo. The process was all great, until after I returned it.

2 days later, I get an email saying there is damage to the car. Supposedly a dent. I can't see it in the pictures they sent. In the video I took upon return, I can't see anything either.

THERE WAS NO DAMAGE.

Yet, as a customer, you are helpless. Zero recourse. Complete BS.

So I get charged $400 for a supposed dent that you can't even see in photos. And I was with this car the whole time i had it, I can tell you, there were no dents.

I believe Sixt employees are trained to say there is damage just to increase the company's profits. I do not trust Sixt anymore. They are no longer a company I will consider renting from.

I want to warn everyone who rents cars from Sixt Torp!!!! Sixt makes money not only on car rentals, but also on damage. I was presented with damage that I did not cause. I was able to prove from photos and videos that there were already scratches. But there was one scratch that I could not prove. I was billed for 13,890NOK (1,200 euros). A 1 cm scratch is 13,890NOK!!!

I have rented using booking.com for my mother who is on holidays in Norway.
I called before booking the car to know if I could pay the car and depositum for my mother.

The man from costumer service told us several times uf was ok. I could just book and pay for my mother. I paid ahead on booking.com and even extra for an insurance.
At arkivar to pick the car costumer service told me:
- It was a mistanke
- They did not kniw who talk to me and it was no their problem
- They will not pay back the money
- At booking.com stay I git the car, and I Asker them why. The answer was it is your problem
- I got "I am sorry, we are not responsible"

I called other companies at the counter.They inmediatle explained to me, even without asking, that is must be the credit card of the driver. They were honest.
At Sixt they just took the money knowing they will not give the car ahead. Thst is robery.

Please, they are penty of good companies and avoid this liars.

Bliv faktureret for og parkere i p-hus med kamera ved indkørsel 15kr for parkering pluss 190kr i administrations gebyr dra sixt, 5 gange parkerte jeg i det p hus for godt 75 kr i p og næsten 1000kr i gebyr. Fy for søren en svindlerbiks kommer aldrig til of bruge dem igen
