Terrible management all around. Me and my partner booked two tickets to the Wentworth House tour which promised to be an hour long trail which lead to the scare village after. The village was advertised on there website as 4 adult themed rides and refreshments, what we actually received were two kids rides (if you could call them that one was literally just a playground slide) and two guys selling warm cans of San migal and Strongbow dark fruits (Which they ran out of before the event even start) as for the hour long trail which promised online to be full of jump scares and to be terrifying, that consisted 5 minutes of walking through a house with people wearing terrible masks in complete silence. We arrived at the venue and left in less time then the trail will we were promised before the village. After request to speak to the events manager the lady that arrived claiming to be that person seemed the most intoxicated person there (probably explains where the strongbow went) she took our ticket details and promised she would hand this over in her report and they would be in contact with us for a refund. It has been nearly two weeks now and not a word. Terrible experience would stay far clear from this company in the future.

Constantly scary sights and actors around each corner, had loads of fun with my friends who were glued to me in fear. Would definitely go again for a fun night!

so , i have to commend the company for trying , finding the decor and useing wentworth as a location after that ill say i went to Screamtime expecting a 15+ experince for context both the Scaremazes at alton towers and Doncaster fear factory are 15+.
The experience promised to be 45 mins didnt go beyond 20 at most , walking though the house suffered meany issues includeing not haveing actors in most rooms , the rooms themself being a poor choice because the actors have no where to hid no cubby holes ect and the ourdoor section suffered the same. I felt genuinely sorry for the actors as they where given notting if little to work with bar the rubber masks and deserved better,

and then deleting the comments on facebook ! unprossional only giveing it 2 stars for the actors and volunteers

I went with my family and we all had a brilliant night. It was very scary and a lot of fun too making us all scream. We will definitely be going again next year!

We attended the Elvaston castle event after having been to other scare experiences over the years (melton mowbray, Manchester and burton on Trent), and unfortunately this just did not compare.

We had to queue beyond our time slot to get in despite it not being busy once we went inside. I will say the entrance to the grounds were decorated really well. However, the actual scare attractions were incredibly short and not enough actors etc. We then decided we wanted something to eat, only to be told the burger/hot dog stall was closed as they weren’t making a profit!

As mentioned above, we have been to a lot of the big scare events so have definitely been spoilt, but with a very similar price to those we were expecting more.

We attended the scream time at Margam castle. Very disappointed with high hopes of quality scares and acting considering the tickets were £28+booking fees each! We travelled near an hour to go here and felt frustrated finishing the tour from what we paid. We attended heathertons haunted harvest the day prior at £17.50 pp and was good for all ages and scared us a lot more than here. Unfortunately for us a complete waste of money and false hopes from advertisement. Will not be attending again

Really enjoyed our screamfest experience at Elvaston Castle. It certainly made us scream.😱 Great costumes, scary, haunting spooky music and sound effects.
Hot chocolate and marshmallows afterwards. Great evening.

Went to Elvaston with a group of friends on the 28/10/25 and had a great time. For someone who doesn’t get scared easy I wasn’t expecting a lot but safe to say it left me terrified walking through. From the actors walking through the start of the trail to the castle I thought it was amazing. Got ourselves a couple of drinks and food in the main courtyard were the atmosphere was great, to then toasting some marshmallows and then finishing up in the zombie courtyard. All round great experience and can’t wait to return next year! 10/10 to all the staff and actors who put on an amazing night!

We had a great time at screamtime at elvaston. We booked on both the kids sessions first and then the adults ones after and both were brilliant. All staff were really good

I went with my family and we all had a brilliant night. It was very spooky and scary but a lot of fun too making us all scream. You never knew what was waiting for you so the anticipation added to the experience. We will definitely be going again next year!

We were a group of 8 of mixed ages and we had a brilliant night. Lots of scares, the actors were fantastic . Very well organised event and Elvaston Castle and the grounds looked very spooky. I hope this event goes from strength to strength . A great evening out. Thank you

Myself and family attended scream time on Saturday night at Wentworth Woodhouse and had a blast! Enjoyed ourself from start to finish. The atmosphere was amazing, the scare actors were fantastic and wow, what a venue. Great food and drink to finish a spectacular spooky walk through after the scare rooms inside the iconic house . A real fun filled evening. Malcolm - thank you for a great night and a special Halloween evening. We hope to return next year to enjoy the scares again!

Terrible event, spend more time queuing to see pathetic rooms. Complete waste of money. 45 mins to walk into a zombie room is a complete joke. Very disappointing avoid

This event was a waste of time and money- does not come close to other events of this type.
Nothing about it was scary, you spent more time queuing than anything else and I was quickly bored and ready to leave.
The half-hearted attempts to scare you made it seem like the actors just couldn't be bothered.
Such a shame as it's a great location..
Would definitely not recommend- go to Twinlakes!!

Best scare event I have ever been to. My group laughed the entire time and jumped at every actor. We were entertained by a fire performer while we waited to go in which only took 20 minutes. Inside the castle was phenomenal. Had marshmallows, mulled wine and a hot dog which were all delicious and very friendly customer service. There were even vegan options for my friend so she didnt miss out. The coffin challenge was a great laugh and the stewards were all really helpful. Worth every penny and I can’t wait to go again next year

I don't know if they was short-staffed, but you spent 90% of your time in a queue 3 very quick sections/rooms. Either the 5 stars are fake reviews or there's usually more to it.

The staff were so helpful. I thought the event was well organised and it was suitably scary for us. We enjoyed the venue and variety of scares.

I'd never been to a scare event before this, but I really enjoyed it. I was scared and thought the actors were really good at tailoring their actions on how you reacted.

Yes there was some queuing between going in the rooms (15-20 mins), but it made for a better experience because then you were in the groups you came with rather than with lots of people which would not have been as good. From what I've heard from people who have been to other scare events, it's not unusual to have to queue.

I was also really pleased there were vegan marshmallows for toasting because I'd anticipated I wouldn't have anything to eat, as usually there aren't any vegan options at events - it was nice I was able to take part in the activity with my friends.

I don't understand the negative reviews and think maybe people don't let themselves get absorbed in the experience. Obviously you're paying for an event, you know they're actors, you know they can't touch you. If you focus on that, then you're not going to find it scary.

I personally had a great time and would love to come again.

I’ve been lucky enough to experience both the adults’ and children’s versions of the event, and both were absolutely fantastic! There were plenty of screams and laughter throughout, and it was such a joy to watch the children’s faces as they anxiously made their way through the trail and castle, moments that created truly lasting memories.
Some people say they “weren’t scared,” but I think that’s part of the fun, everyone reacts differently to fear, just like when watching a scary film. Some people jump and scream, while others don’t.
A huge well done to everyone involved in putting this together. The atmosphere was brilliant, the actors delivered some great scare jumps, and the entire experience made for an excellent night out. Thank you for all your hard work in creating such a memorable event!
