Awful experience. They tailgate cars out of the airport, park them elsewhere and use your car freely whilst you’re on holiday. Rude and nameless customer service individual as well, who kept hanging up, during our 90 mins wait.

Two-hour wait at Gatwick and completely unacceptable service

I genuinely cannot understand how Compare Parking can promote this company with five-star reviews when our experience—and many of the reviews online—was so poor.

We returned from holiday to Gatwick Airport on 5 August 2026 and called the company as soon as we landed at approximately 5:00 a.m. We were told that our car would be delivered to the car park within 25 minutes.

After 35 minutes, we called again and were told the car was on its way. After 50 minutes, we called once more and were told it would arrive in six minutes. After 70 minutes, we were then told that the car had only just left the compound.

After waiting for 90 minutes, we called again and were informed that the driver had made a mistake and that the wrong car had been delivered to another customer.

After 110 minutes, our car had still not arrived. We eventually asked another driver who was at the car park whether he could find out what was happening. He checked his phone and said our car was approximately 12 minutes away. I told him that the situation was completely unacceptable and asked him to speak to the manager.

Our car was finally delivered after approximately two hours of waiting.

I told the driver that I would be making a formal complaint and leaving a negative review. The driver personally apologised, but we received no apology, explanation or acknowledgement from the company or its management.

This was not the first time we had experienced a significant delay using this type of meet-and-greet parking service, but it will certainly be the last. We will not use this company again, and we will no longer book this type of parking service.

In future, I would rather pay the higher price and use the official airport car parks, where at least we know the car will be available when we return.

I had a very disappointing experience using this company.

When my car was returned, it had dirty footprints on the seats, cigarette ash throughout the interior, and the whole car smelt of smoke. We are a non-smoking family, so finding ash inside our vehicle was completely unacceptable and showed a total lack of respect for a customer's property.

To make matters worse, the engine management light came on immediately after the car was returned, despite there being no warning lights before I handed it over.

I also left the car with around 180 miles of fuel, but it was returned with only 50 miles remaining. I understand the vehicle may need to be moved between locations, but using around 130 miles of fuel is excessive and no explanation has been provided.

Overall, I expected my car to be looked after while it was in their care. Instead, it came back dirtier, smelling of cigarettes, with significantly less fuel and now displaying an engine management warning.

The only positives were that someone was waiting at the airport for me when I dropped the car off, and we waited 50mins for them to drop it back to me.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Terrible. late pick up and collection, not answering calls, say they will be there in one hour, that’s bad enough, but they’re not even here one hr later. Absolutely avoid if don’t want to miss your flight

Pick up instructions and terms and conditions where just left in the car!!? Which they were supposed to give to us. Also when handing over the keys, just gave them to us and walked off.

Lied and told us that they paid for the barriers, but they didn’t and we had to pay £8 both times.

Do not use this company. They are completely unprofessional, incompetent and rude. I called the number given to collect my car and initially I was cut off before my call was answered, then a mobile number called me back and was making strange noises down the line, not speaking, quite unnerving! I ended the call and rang the number again, it was the same person making a strange noises again, I asked if it was Sapphire parking and they said ‘yes, what did I want’. Then had to wait for ages for the car to come. It was not delivered to the place detailed on the paperwork. A bunch of cowboys!

Avoid this company.

We followed the booking instructions and called 30 minutes before arriving at the airport, but still had to wait a long time for the driver to collect our car.

We were then charged an extra £8 on arrival and £14 on our return, despite the booking confirmation clearly stating that the service was fully inclusive and that no additional airport levy charges were payable.

The return service was even worse. We called immediately after landing as instructed, but when we reached the public car park, nobody had told us where the car was. We had to call again, only to discover that the vehicle had been left unattended with the keys sitting openly on top of the front wheel. Anyone could have taken them and driven away.

The car was also returned absolutely filthy, covered in heavy dust and dirt.

After inspecting it properly in daylight, we then discovered a long, deep scratch down the side of the vehicle and damage to the lower section of the door, which has been bent out of alignment. We have video footage taken immediately before handing the car over that clearly shows this damage was not there beforehand, along with photographs of the condition in which it was returned.

We have submitted a formal complaint and are seeking reimbursement of the additional charges, compensation and full payment for the repairs.

A completely unacceptable service and a serious lack of care for customers’ vehicles.

Do not use this meet and greet service, eating over an hour to get our car and water along time for someone to pick it up. They do not care how long you are waiting and are incredibly rude

I booked originally to pick up on 4th August but amended my booking to the 3rd. When I dropped my car off, the attendant confirmed to me that my pick up date was indeed on 3rd August. When I landed on the 3rd and rang to let them know, the man on the phone claimed to have no knowledge that I was due on 3rd, and insisted that I was making it up because his system says the 4th. I explained I had changed the date, it had been confirmed by the attendant at drop off, and that I had email confirmation of this. He said I couldn't have my car because it was apparently blocked in at loads of cars, he actually laughed down the phone when I tried to argue that I needed my car to get home (it was late in the evening), and then hung up on me. I then tried to phone back 10 times and was put through to voicemail each time. I had to use someone else's phone just to get back through to them again. Both times I managed to speak to them, they didn't identify that they were from sapphire parking which I also found very strange.
When I managed to get through via another a phone, they said to go to a different location to that in my booking email (level 3 of car park 6 instead of level 5) and that it'd be there in 30 mins. I was then sat thinking either they were trying to mess me about, or they had discovered that I HAD in fact booked to pick up on the 3rd, not the 4th. I received no apology over the phone nor when the driver eventually dropped the car off. They caused me a huge amount of undue stress late at night. Do not use this company.

If I could give a 0 I would. DO NOT USE is company. They are appalling. They made us wait for 2.5 hours and lied constantly about why they were so long in returning my car. The man on the phone - Vic -was rude and unpleasant . They promised me a refund but when I have phoned the phone number is no longer in use . They have not responded to my emails.

Dropped car off with a quarter of a tank of fuel. On return fuel tank was empty! We also had to pay £8 on arrival and again on leaving the carpark, so an extra £16 not mentioned when booking. Don't know where they'd taken our car, but apart from the lack of petrol there were massive dirty boot prints on all 4 car mats and doors. Looked like it had been used at a building site. Mobile phone charging cable missing on collection.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Firstly, I'd booked a North terminal drop off, but they tried to convince me to go to the South terminal. I also do not believe they are approved by Gatwick because instead of dropping off in areas identified for off site parking providers, they told me to go to the roof where they just met me and took my car. There were also unexpected entry and exit fees, which wasn't clear on the booking.

When we returned from holiday, I called Sapphire when we got our luggage, I spoke to an unbelievably rude staff member, who said it would be at least 1 hour before our car would be dropped off, again on the roof level. When I questioned this he said we need to read the terms and conditions, which I obviously wasn't too happy about. When our car arrived it looked like it had been dragged through a hedge, I complained to the driver, but I could tell he was used to this and he just gave me a ticket and headed off.

The service provided by this company has to be the worst I have ever experienced, not just for parking, but any service.

I booked this through 'Fly Park Compare' so feel they are partly responsible for allowing such a shambles of a company on their compare site.

Avoid Sapphire Parking at all costs!

Avoid avoid avoid - absolutely terrible.

If I could give zero stars I would.

They will park your car miles away in an insecure location. They will think nothing of causing damage to the vehicle or using your petrol.

Worst part though: Advertised as returning your car within 20-30 mins is a complete lie. You will be 1hr minimum to get your car (if you are very lucky).

They are rude on the phone, unprofessional and are simply foreigners scamming holiday makers.

Do not use! If you do end up using them, photograph everything and record every conversation. 101 Sussex Police are aware of this rogue operator so report to keep building evidence. Get them out of Buisness.

Terrible terrible service. It is not meet and greet. It’s park and panic. I’d rather give my car to a homeless guy to sleep in for the week.

Every day they have a mob of holiday makers ready to lynch them - they only stay in business because people don’t read reviews or believe them - let this review end that cancerous cycle.

Do not under any circumstances use this " meet and greet". It is the worst service ever. Who waits an hour on a meet and greet. Its a total joke.

Took my money, never turned up. Left me in the car park telling me someone was there for an hour, I missed my flight and they blocked my number.

Scammers - paid and never turned up.

We booked via your Fly Park Compare - Sapphire Parking. We have just arrived at Gatwick and been told that they don’t have any drivers and we could be waiting here for hours and they can’t do anything about it.

This isn’t what we should be experiencing. We called them and they have told us to stop disturbing them and they threatened not to give us our car back. DONT USE

Absolutely disgraceful service. Avoid at all costs.

This was, without question, the worst airport parking experience I’ve ever had.

After returning from our holiday, we waited over two hours for our car to be returned. During that time we were repeatedly lied to by different members of staff. Every time we called, we were given another excuse and another promise: “45 minutes”, then “30 minutes”, then “15 minutes”. None of it was true.

We were also told there was “a lot of traffic”, despite being told they were only six minutes away. If that’s true, how does a six-minute journey take over two hours? It makes you seriously question where the cars are actually being stored.

The staff were rude, dismissive and showed absolutely no concern for the inconvenience they were causing. There was no apology, no honesty and no accountability.

To make matters worse, another customer waiting with us had been told they had actually lost her car. She ended up waiting around two and a half hours before it was eventually found. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how this company is run.

After reading the reviews on Trustpilot, our experience clearly wasn’t an isolated incident. It’s shocking that this company continues to operate like this. I genuinely cannot understand how they receive positive ratings on comparison websites, as our experience, and many others’, suggests something very different.

I will be reporting this company to Trading Standards because this level of service is completely unacceptable.

If you value your time, your car and your peace of mind, do not use Sapphire Parking. There are plenty of reputable airport parking companies. This is not one of them.

We are currently waiting at Gatwick Airport, first off when we got to the airport for our flight some days ago, they did dodgy business and acted as different people to message us (terrible + fraudulent, Metropolitan Police pls look 🙏🏿). They were messaging us under FAKE MESSAGINGS. My son was very upset and cried at the airport and he was shaking. So now we've got back and then they said we have to wait another hour for our car, and we don't even know where our car is, just ghosted us.... A scam company and piece of low budget airport scammers and they don't even know how to do their job. I pray Gatwick Airport should remove them from their list because terrible... i wish on this app we can do no stars... because that's what it is.
