Sanitas Krankenversicherung Arvostelua 189

Sanitas is chaotic and unhelpful - I have had a series of problems with them, which have still not been resolved. I give them ZERO out of 5. I signed a contract for standard health insurance at the end of September 2020. Three months later, I still have not received my insurance card, even though I am paying premiums for direct billing (not reimbursement). Sanitas lost my application - which was only discovered after I contacted them twice. Then they re-issued the contract with mistakes in it, adding accident insurance when it wasn’t needed. And now I’m still waiting for the card. I’m sick of having to chase up customer services to simply do the job I am paying them for. Absolutely terrible - the worst experience with a health insurance company I have ever had! Avoid at all costs.

I would like to share my recent experience with Sanitas: I work for the Swiss based company in Zurich. Due to lockdown rules, I had to come back to the place of permanent residency, which in my case is UK. Since I am still employed with Swiss company and able to work for them remotely, I couldn't de-register from the Zurich city council (for the tax purposes). As such I couldn't terminate the Sanitas insurance as it requires de-registration.

The above situation is actually fine and well understood and accepted on my side. But I've then asked Sanitas not to terminate, but suspend the insurance for the duration of the lockdown. Sanitas has refused to do so. Again, although Sanitas has all rights to do what they think is right, I feel obliged to provide them with the negative feedback as this last decision is not acceptable from my prospective. I continue paying for the insurance which I have zero chance to claim. This is a force major circumstances and should've been considered as such by Sanitas. And suspending the insurance for the duration would've been entirely reasonable from my point of view.

At the same time I am fully satisfied with the communication and promptness of the answers from the Sanitas side. It is unfortunate that we couldn't come to mutually agreeable solution in this case.

Update 01.09.20: Once my contract came to an end, I have de-registered from the kreis buro (city council). The letter of de-registration was backdated to the time when I've actually left Switzerland. Which was in March 2020. All the time from March till July I continued paying Sanitas the monthly premiums. But then, I have sent them the letter of de-registration asking to terminate the insurance contract. Which was promptly done. And Sanitas agreed to refund me for all the time since March. I must admit, I am quite impressed with that offer and the way it was handled. So, definitely changing my previous review to a positive one.

Sanitas wird alles versuchen um keinen Rappen an euch auszuzahlen:

- jede Rechnung / Rückforderungsbeleg wird erstmal abgewiesen
- Ihr müsst die Sanitas anrufen und Rückforderungsbelege gefühlt 10x einreichen, bis endlich mal etwas geschieht
- Auf mysteriöse Weise verschwinden im Online System von Sanitas eure Rückforderungsbelege... ganz komisch

Betrug am Versicherten...

Am liebsten würde ich 0 Sterne geben.Absolut miserabler Service. Von der Krankenversicherung und der Zusatzversicherung blos die Finger lassen.Man wird Monatelang verarscht und sieht keine Leistungen. Wenn man erstmal krank wird, dann bringen die dich eher ins Grab,als dass du irgendwelche Zahlungen von den siehst,daher Finger weg von der Zusatzversicherung. In einem Jahr 4 neue Ansprechpartner bekommen, da alle nacheinander gekündigt wurden.Lügen einem ins Gesicht, nichts gibt schriftlich und am Ende heist es: ups , wissen wir nichts von und man steht ohne nichts da und noch total verschuldet ,da Sie einem Monatelang irgenwelche Leistungen versprechen.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und sehr faire Preise (auch die Zusatzversicherungen sind günstig). Hatte bis jetzt noch nie Probleme. Die Mitarbeiter bei der Hotline sind freundlich und der Social Media Support ist persönlich und sehr schnell. Ich kann Sanitas einfach nur weiterempfehlen!
