The whole experience of going to Root Healing Retreat was honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was suffering with an addiction for years and after my retreat I felt completely healed and like myself again. Everything about it was amazing: the location, the staff, the food, the medicine and especially Ryan the facilitator. The care that I felt while being there was beyond anything I could have imagined.

Root wellness was an incredible facility for the journey of my personal healing. Location is an amazing peaceful retreat setting in the heart of north Thailand. Ryan and his team prioritised guest wellbeing throughout the entire week and were on hand for whatever you may need. The program structure was excellent and blended with the wisdom of Bwiti which ensured authentic experience. I've been blown away by what this medicine has been able able to give me. Feels like the deepest level of healing right at the core absolutely incredible. I'd certainly return if ever needed to and I'd highly recommend this place for anyone considering it

Root healing (Ryan, Steve, Sveta & all the team at RH) thank you so so much for such a life changing experience: you all were absolutely fantastic at making sure we felt comfortable with the whole process of iboga healing & Ryan’s knowledge with Iboga & bwiti tribe was second to none. I really couldn’t have asked for anymore from you all. The accommodation was perfect, the food was soulful & all of your energies were kind, loving & warm.

Now for my experience, I have had a very traumatic childhood/teenage & adult life due to abandonment trauma/trauma bonding, fear of rejection and holding onto guilt & shame/not being able to love myself fully & letting go of so much pain & hurt and also losing my sense of direction & purpose in life.

I had previously had a kundalini awakening which truly began my healing joinery then got called to ayahuasca which help a little but my soul/iboga was calling me the most and felt that this is what I needed to put the final piece into my healing puzzle.

It’s been one week since I was at Root Healing Chiang Mai and my life has changed in so many ways. I’ve been able to reprogram my subconscious to stop thinking the worst in every situation or interaction, I’ve been able to approach men & women & form deeper connections & let conversations flow freely without over analysing them or thinking I would say the wrong thing. I’ve been able to give myself so much self love & care and also know what my purpose is in life. I am about to embark on a reiki teacher course for me to be able to help those that have gone through similar to be and be the light they seek.

Iboga has expanded my consciousness in ways I never thought possible and the whole experience blew my expectations.!!

My advice: surrender your phone completely at the start and get it back on the last day, completely minimise distractions. Just be with yourself in the present moment without avoiding or distracting with books or technology. Utilise the bodywork options available – massage is so powerful in reconditioning the nervous system, the massage therapist is very good, and the treatments are both relaxing and nurturing. Listen carefully to Ryan and the other facilitators instructions and do the work by reflecting, put simply it’s most likely why you’re there - to confront that which you always avoid…

I couldnt ask for any better, everything is perfect..excellent food, peacefull location run by wonderful People and powerfull Medicine.

It's been the most incredible experience of my life. This medicine is the real thing. Can't be compared to anything else. It works on every level of our physiology, consciousness and beyond in such a deep focused way - no 'abstractions', just the most profound essence of the self. For whoever is interested in researching or working with these tools, this is the big kahuna.
The location in Sintra was amazing. Paradise on Earth. Soul-resourcing. I'll never forget the hours spent in the lush garden witnessing the sheer beauty of the colorful flowers and fruits. Exactly what is needed while processing and integrating the life-changing insights of Iboga.
Food was awesome. Just very fresh ingredients cooked with love and great taste. Kudos to Chandler.
But most of all, I discovered in Ryan, Taylor and Andreas - the providers - the most trustworthy, professional, warm, caring, nurturing, loving persons on this planet. Sometimes I have resistances about trusting people, especially during "fringe" experiences like this, I am a mostly hyper-rational person, and being able to finally surrender myself to the mighty Iboga and to such great human beings has been one of the most rewarding experiences ever. Will always love you guys with the deepest gratitude.

This was one of the most important weeks of my life. The team of Taylor, Andreas and Ryan were amazingly caring and so attentive, as well as having incredibly high levels of wisdom and understanding of human nature. Their set of tools for dealing with dysfunction are brilliantly effective and simple but profound. Iboga turned out to be a beautiful medicine that provided deeper insights than any other psychedelic medicine I have tried (most).

The setting was beautiful, the rooms very comfortable, and the food delicious every meal (thanks Chandler). This all made the week effortless and allowed us to focus entirely on healing.

Eu moro na Inglaterra e mesmo assim tentei entrar na reunião no horário das 10 am time zone da Inglaterra porém não me atenderam, mas tudo bem e depois eu tentei no horário do Brasil e também não fui atendida. E mesmo após alguns minutos eles me responderam falando que era no time zone as 9am de NY, MAIS no horário de NY seria a meia hora atrás de que eu escrevo isso e mesmo assim eles não me atenderam. E simplesmente só recebo um email pedindo desculpas e pronto ? Pelo menos oferecer um novo agendamento, ou entrar em contato pelo WhatsApp ou ao menos explicar como posso fazer para entrar em contato uma explicação, preocupação com o cliente. O suporte de cliente de vocês é muito horrível.

One of the most important and consequential weeks of my life. Taylor, Ryan, and Andreas are truly special, big-hearted people with a dedication and care for others that is rare. I’ve never experienced anything like ROOT Healing and it is in no way hyperbolic to say that this experience and these men changed my life.

I attended the Root Healing Iboga retreat in Chiang Mai to heal the grief and trauma of my 18 year-old daughter's suicide in March 2023. Little did I know that this amazing healing medicine would not only help me to overcome my grief, but also heal so much more.

It was one of the most challenging weeks of my life, but to leave decades of baggage in the jungle and emerge with a fresh view on life and happy in myself for the first time since childhood has been the greatest gift I could have ever hoped for, and worth many times the price of this experience.

It's hard to explain, but the amazing things that have already manifested in my life since coming home only a couple of weeks ago have blown me away.

No doubt this is not for everyone, but if you are stuck in your life, have pure intentions in your heart, and looking for genuine healing in a safe and supportive environment, then don't hesitate to get in touch with Ryan and the team, you wont regret it. (and yes, the caring team, the food and location and all that is as good as everyone says).

I can imagine that if you are reading these reviews, you are perhaps considering attending an Iboga ceremony. I was in the same spot about months ago. I just completed my week-long retreat at Root Healing.

My experience was beyond all expectations; the center location and the setup, the quality of the medicine, and the support coming from facilitators and the staff were exceptionally good.

You will work with facilitators who have been properly trained in Gabon and will conduct the ceremonies exactly as in the tribal Bwiti setting.

The rooms are fairly clean and spacious, with a beautiful view of the garden and the castle further out.

It’s hard to express in a review but I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to have stayed with Root Healing in Chiang Mai. The retreat location, gardens and facilities were clean, beautiful and tranquil. The facilitators had such integrity and really held a safe space for the group, the extended team/staff were kind and attentive, whilst being respectful of the individual journeys people were on. I appreciate the thought that went in to the scheduling, allowing plenty of time and space for reflection/intentions/meditation. I had a transformative experience with the medicine, most of which has transpired during the integration phase. I’m grateful that the team explained the whole process and answered so many questions before, during and after. Although the ceremony was taking place in Thailand, the traditional Bwiti teachings and lessons were respectfully woven in to the experience and each ceremony. I have attended 2 retreats with Root Healing, one in Portugal and one in Thailand. I am so grateful for my experiences with Root Healing. What a unique opportunity to reconnect with my self and radically transform my life. From the comfortable accommodations to the food everything truly was a 5 star experience (at both locations). The providers are top notch, I felt so safe at the retreat spaces and it was so nice to allow other people take care of me. These are some of the realest, most down to earth, genuine, caring people I have ever met in my life.
When it comes to plant medicine it is so important to be able to have the right set and setting, and at Root Healing they have done an incredible job creating a safe environment for deep healing.
I initially thought I was going to sit with Iboga so I could overcome my addiction to Nicotine and Cannabis but I got much much more. I was able to heal myself on the deepest levels. I am surely not the same person I was before these retreats, in all the best ways. I would/will recommend Root Healing to anybody who feels called to the medicine.

Had a great relaxing time at the chang mai retreat. Ryan and team were really caring and kind and i was made to feel very comfortable. The food was fantastic, Rooms were very comfortable and the gardens/nature was lush. Iboga was a confusing experience for me i am waiting to see what unfolds after i leave the retreat. When I got back from the retreat last week my friend asked me if it was worth the money. I answered instinctly that I would sell everything I owned any second to feel this way.
