I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous going into this retreat, I've never done anything like this before, but I'd tried everything to get my mental health on track and nothing seemed to work. It almost sounds crazy to say, but I feel like this retreat has done it, I feel like a new person in a good way, like I've been given another chance at life. Don't get me wrong, it was not easy, but healing rarely is, I honestly nearly left after the first ceremony, but something told me to stay, and I'm so glad I did. I'd do it 100 times over again to feel like this. I did the retreat in Europe, Alessandro and G were both amazing hosts, they prepare you for everything and make sure you are comfortable throughout the retreat. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Root healing Europe, great location, very peaceful but you are still able to walk to the nearby Historic town, Alessandro and G are fantastic, fully explaining the Ceremony process and constantly checking to make sure you are comfortable, the accommodation is very comfortable and clean and the food is healthy with a verity of different meals, I will be back!

Traveled from Australia to Root Healing in europe for a necessary intervention. As a businessman and father, my nervous system was redlined, constantly chasing dopamine spikes.
The Iboga ceremony was a cold, biological slate-wipe. Alessandro and Gajanan provided a safe, expert environment for the heavy internal work. I’ve returned home with a clarity and peace I haven't felt in years the frantic engine is finally off. If you need to fundamentally rewire your baseline, this is the best investment you can make for your future and your family.

Put it very simple, amazing experience in Europe. The location is beautiful, very spacious so enough space for everybody. Alessandro, Juliana and Gajanan are such kind hearted, caring, loving and supporting souls that I felt very comfortable and safe during my entire stay. Every meal was fresh and delicious and the journey space, despite it not being easy, was held perfectly.

It’s impossible to put into words of the transformative experience that a week at Basse Root did. I don’t remember what I was expecting, but this was beyond what I could have imagined. The space that was held allowed me to deal with things the way I needed to deal with. The care that was offered was always considerate and helpful. The food was delicious and cooked with love. And the staff clearly solid, quality people. And all that supported the bigger endeavor of taking in the teaching from the medicine, which I am unable to describe, but truly profound. I leave feeling rested, centered, more at home with myself, and trusting myself than maybe ever before. And I have the tools in place to integrate that into my life on a daily basis. Overall, I couldn't have asked for more from this retreat. This was my first time meeting with this medicine and was unsure what to expect, but as I settled in, it became very clear that I was (we all were) in good hands. Ryan and Sarah are very adept retreat facilitators and *extremely* skillful in working with whatever the medicine brings up for people, which is so impressive given the diversity of experiences people have. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect going into this experience but Ryan and Sarah (and the other facilitators) created the perfect space to benefit from iboga’s deep teachings and wisdom. Their guidance and care paired with the serene accommodations and respect for the plant and it’s associated traditions and customs were the ideal circumstances in which to surrender to this powerful medicine. Highly recommend if you’re feeling called.

I had the honor of attending the May 17th-22nd retreat. Iboga medicine was something I was pulled\called to for healing body, mind, and soul. The Roothealing.com website is very informative on the history and tradition of the Iboga medicine from the Bwiti tribe in Africa. Setting up the first Zoom meeting, I made the mistake of confusing the time zones and missed it. No issue in overcoming, I just rebooked a new Zoom meeting and was able to meet with Ryan with no issues. The retreat is very much a healing space. Surrounded by nature. Plenty of trees, a flowing river, and occasional visits from deer and an eagle. Ryan and others provide a very safe place. The folks here talk the talk and walk the walk in regard to Iboga medicine and the tradition of the Bwiti tribe. Anyone serious about their healing journey, I would very much recommend.

The experience with Root Healing was nothing short of life changing. Working with Ryan and Sarah was really transformative and I was able to work through years of problems I had. Seeing how my destructive behaviors were destroying me helped me understand why my life was the way it was.

Now I feel much clearer on my path moving forward and couldn't have asked for a better team that helps support me through this process of coming to know myself. I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you!

I filled out an extensive application form in order to book an intake call. So far so good.

When no one showed up for the call, I wrote to the team to see what happened. (Exact text below.)

I received a prompt reply (one day later), "please accept our apologies for the delayed reply" and that the founder is in a retreat. I responded saying thank you but the lack of reply was not the issue; the issue was making an appointment to which no one showed up. I noted that I felt some loss of trust. (Again, exact text copied below.)

The person who responded (the email was from a generic account and not signed) chose to defend the initial reply, opening with "We did apologize", and concluding "it is probably best you reach out to someone else", and then without saying anything about it, canceled my rescheduled intake call.

A mature response would have been simply: "You're right, we're so sorry for the missed call as well, here's what happened [...]", versus the defensiveness and passive aggressiveness.

Mistakes happen, e.g. accidentally leaving the intake call calendar open. That is understandable. How one handles a mistake is an important place for trust and credibility to be earned or lost. These interactions were an opportunity to go either way and were not handled well.

My own emails are copied verbatim below, so you can decide for yourself if the company replies were warranted.

Email 1:
"Hi team,

I had a call scheduled with Rich on Thursday but no one showed up. I also sent an email after to see if everything was okay but haven’t heard anything back."

Email 2:
"Respectfully, I would like an apology for having booked and shown up for an appointment and no one being there, as well. Waiting a day for an email response really isn’t a big deal but scheduling an intake with the founder and him not showing up / no one reaching out beforehand to cancel doesn’t foster a lot of trust."

RESPONDING TO THE REVIEW COMMENT BELOW: This is simply not true. I never canceled the call. In fact, I deleted the call from my calendar **several days after** the call was missed from their end, because I like to have an accurate history of events in my calendar. Google Calendar updated the appointment accordingly, post facto. The fact that the team doubled down by lying and claiming that I canceled is consistent with my review headline: more defensiveness and lack of accountability on their side.

Profound Experience. I was feeling hopeless when I came in. This experience allowed me to see my true self and let go of everything that was blocking be from this for over 30 years. I have been lost in depression, anxiety, fear, worry, and doubt for over 30 years. Facilitators Ryan and Sarah were incredible. Their adherence to the Bwiti Traditions and Culture proved to be so important in the journey, as their guidance was just as important for me to have such an incredible breakthrough. I see my true self finally and am free of all that used to bind me.

Life changing experience highly recommended cleanses your body from all drugs and trauma. It gave me a second chance at life. Ryan and his team were extremely professional helpful and caring.
