Free castors and great people
First my Aeron was stuck at the DHL depot for 2 days. I contacted the customer service team, they responded quickly and resolved the issue immediately.
The chair has now arrived and it doesn't get any better than this.
I sit like a king.
I initially opted for hard castors, but after moving from my office I needed soft castors on my new floor.
Due to the slight delay in the first delivery, Herman Miller sent me a set of new soft castors for FREE.

Follow up quickly if you buy from them
Company promised delivery in 4-5 days. After 3 weeks and despite customer service promising it would be handled two weeks ago, they didn't answer calls but did respond to email.
At first it was one error, then another, but the shipment did arrive and the chair is in decent shape. (We have two Aerons from new that are in better shape, but we are happy to have this one too!)
If you order, I would follow up with them promptly to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Longer delivery than expected
Order made on 16/01/2024. The delivery was supposed to take place within 4 to 6 weeks, but 6 and a half weeks later, having no news, I contacted the customer service and left several messages without any response. 7 weeks after my order, I received a response and the chair has been finally dispatched. It has now been successfully delivered.

Delivery taking way too long
It's been 2 month and I haven't received my chair yet and the customer service doesn't answer to any of my questions.

Chaise commandée le 28/09/23 reçue avec retard. Ca vaut la peine d'insister si votre commande n'arrive pas. Dans mon cas, il y a eu un problème avec le transporteur. Je commençais à désespérer de ne pas avoir de nouvelles à mes billets. Seul moyen de communication avec la société. Un numéro de téléphone aurait permis d'éviter le malentendu.
Un cadeau d'excuse m'a été envoyé. Cela implique que la firme se sent responsable du retard et veiller à la satisfaction de ses clients.
Le produit est conforme à mes attentes. Par contre une petite notice de montage serait appréciée pour le posturefit. heureusement il y a YouTube.

Stuhl kommt womöglich niemals an (Update)
Ich warte seit 3 Wochen auf meine Bestellung und bezweifle langsam, dass mein Stuhl noch ankommt. Vor 9 Tagen bekam ich (auf Nachfrage) eine Versandbestätigung samt Tracking-ID. Doch seit diesen 9 Tagen ist absolut nichts passiert. Die Tracking-ID gibt keinen Aufschluss über den Verbleib des Pakets.
Update 06.10.2023:
Der Stuhl kam vor 3 Tagen an. Nachdem ich mich nochmal beim Unternehmen gemeldet habe, wurde mir zugesichert, dass der Stuhl an einem Tag X von einem Fahrer persönlich bei mir abgeliefert wird.
Das ist auch zuverlässig passiert. Der Fahrer war sehr zuvorkommend. Als Entschädigung wurde mir ein Wein angeboten. Da ich keinen Alkohol trinke, lehnte ich ab.
Jetzt ist der Stuhl da, und was soll ich sagen: Ich kann ihn nicht genießen.
Die Rückenlehne hat eine verstellbare Stütze, die man mit zwei Drehknöpfen lösen und wieder befestigen kann. Beim ganz normalen Sitzen lösen die sich leider binnen kurzer Zeit, wodurch die Stütze ihre Spannkraft verliert und somit nutzlos wird.
Die Sitzfläche kam mit einem Flecken-Rückstand (weiße Ränder), den ich mit Eigenaufwand schließlich wegbekommen habe. Auch, wenn die Stühle als 'refurbished' angeboten werden, ist das ziemlich unappetitlich und in meinen Augen unangemessen.
Ein weiterer negativer Punkt ist, dass der Stuhl etwas modrig / nach Lager riecht. Auch da erwarte ich (Lagerung hin oder her) für 600 € einfach mehr.
Ich hätte die Bewertung gerne positiver upgedatet. Aber mit der weitestgehend unbrauchbaren Rückenlehne, dem Fleck, dem Geruch und dem Aufwand bis der Stuhl endlich da war, werde ich die Bewertung bei einem Stern belassen.
Ein Rückversand kommt für mich auch nicht infrage, da man (laut Website) selbst den Aufwand sowie das Risiko trägt.
Die 600 € waren die Erfahrung und das Produkt leider alles andere als wert. Sehr schade.
Update 08.10.23:
Der Stuhl verändert beim längeren darauf sitzen seine Höhe (nach unten) und gewinnt über Nacht an Höhe. Scheint zusätzlich die Höhenverstellung im Eimer zu sein.
Ich finde es wirklich, wirklich sehr anmaßend, solch einen Stuhl für so viel Geld als 'refurbished' zu verkaufen.
Ich muss dem Team zwar zugutehalten, dass sie sich gerade um eine Lösung bemühen (voraussichtlicher Austausch). Aber irgendwie habe ich für einen neuen Stuhl gerade wenig Hoffnung, wenn bei einem einzigen Stuhl bereits so viele verschiedene Makel auf einmal auftreten.
Ich werde weiter berichten.
