The mobile mechanic Phillip Francis was excellent from start to finish very polite informed me was on way when he arrived he got on with job did job filled in all paperwork went out of his way to go get wiper blades which weren’t on paperwork from office but was part of price excellent in all aspects a credit to RAC mobile mechanics

I recently learnt about the "come to your door" RAC interim or full service and thought it was a great idea because I didn't manage to book a service at a local garage and wanted it done as soon as possible over the weekend. Booked it online yesterday for them to come today on Saturday to do it. Now at 4pm I'm called by the mechanic to say he has too many jobs and can't make it. I can't blame the mechanic for having too much work or long jobs, but this is not a breakdown where I would expect delays due to mechanics attending emergencies. This is a booking I've made in advance where I've paid quite a lot of money and it'll be a hassle to get a refund. The RAC must then make clear this service they're offering is less reliable than a garage. If I book a service at a garage I would never expect them to call and say the service is off today.

Great communication with mechanics turned up on time very polite job done no fuss would highly recommend rac mechanics

To be perfectly honest the Mechanic came to the door on arrival and introduced himself, Philip Francis, I asked if the car in a good position, gave him the keys and left him to work is magic, on completion he gave me a Run Down off all he had done on the service, and reading the the report confirms all he had told me. Yes the car seems much better for the service and I thank you for your professionalism,

Billy (job code: 8557) has done my car service today. He has been so professional and done a really great job!!! He is so helpful and explained what is he doing whilst doing the service. He patiently answered and given clear explanation for all my questions and queries. He also suggested future optional repairs which are required.

To summarise, Billy has done great Job and definitely an asset for RAC!!

Tristan was very professional, friendly and easy to communicate. He found my car battery dead and replaced with new battery perfectly. Simply good and professional man

The mechanic completed the job to a good standard, although it was a touch on the expensive side for the convenience. The reason for not giving 5 stars is that we had to wait beyond the promised timeslot and when we tried to get an update, there was no response.

Michael was excellent allround , polite , very knowledgable and considering how bad the weather was this morning , he just got on and sorted the brakes on our Ford Smax. He cleaned up behind himself and explained exactly what he was doing and why. The booking process is very slick and the update email are useful. This is the 4th time we’ve used RAC at home service and I just can’t fault it. 😃

Response time was great. Mechanic was knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to get home and know that I had a new battery being fitted the following day at my house. That mechanic was also knowledgeable and friendly. I was taken through my options about a new battery and was able to choose one to suit my budget with no 'up-selling' which I really appreciated.

The mechanic Luke Fuller 8411 was friendly and explained patiently what he was going to do and after the service he reassured me that my car was fit for purpose!

The mechanic was very clear, informative and thorough in his feedback about my car, and he did a very good service.

I had intended to pay with Klarna, as I’d expressed to his colleague earlier on, but he took the payment straight away
Also 45 minutes for a battery change AND an interim service seems awfully rushed, given that I’ve been advised that an interim service alone is an hour minimum

The RAC service provided by George and his colleague was good. They communicated clearly and well. Their etiquette and professionalism was noteworthy as they explained the work required, and all next steps. I think they would make great mentors to other technicians.

I have given a 4 star rating because of an admin error. Windscreen wipers are advertised as part of RAC’s car service, however this had not been included on the job sheet for that day.

George provided the customer service contact details for me to resolve the problem. This problem was resolved with the wipers being fitted within 2 days of my original appointment.

Had the wipers been fitted on day 1, this would have been a high 5 star review.
