I purchased the insurance and declared 2 claims via confused.com and was quote £700+ per annum if I paid by direct debit. I have since received notification to state my declaration was incorrect when it is correct, and that due to the claims, my premiums will now increase to £1000+ per annum and in addition, I have no right to no claims protection. This is in excess of what I am able to afford and my previous insurance company had no problems with granting no claim protection carried forward from previous insurers and more affordable despite the claims I made. I have been email to advise the CUE action email address to cancel and to ask why they said my claims were not correct but despite 2 emails, I received no response. They are stalling till my 14 days cooling period is over, with their non-response, so this is poor practice and terms were not clear at the point of obtaining the quote and agreeing to the policy, which results in dishonest charging of premiums and poor customer service. I would not recommend. What was quoted at time of purchase should be honoured especially when I was honest with claims I have made and they are correct and what was filed with my previous insurance company and they did not have a problem at all.

Avoid. I don't even used their service and i cancel it and have been charged £90. Be careful the hidden policy.

First I will not read your guidelines, I make my own guidelines if you don’t like my comments then thats tough.

Basically the cover I’m getting for the premium I'm paying made my experience great.

The renewal was fairly priced and that's all that matters.

RAC I trust ,the cost

I wasn't advised that my excess had been increased....this followed a pricing review, so the quote was reduced but the excess increased...without my confirmation?

Lady on the phone terrific and on being challenged as to my renewal costs (why not the best offer in the first place!!) was able to reduce to something more sensible-otherwise I would have become a SAGA lout. I had already looked at the magic 21 days before renewal due so knew what the average costs should be.

Very straightforward, competitive premium rates, renewed via direct debit. How RAC performs should we ever have an accident remains to be seen!

The Money Supermarket site was useful to compare quotes from many companies. I chose RAC because you were significantly cheaper than my previous company and because of your reputation as a motoring organisation. The RAC website was easy to use and there were no problems in setting up my policy.

I had an awful experience with one of RAC Customer Service Officers regarding a change to my insurance policy, the man was an absolute nightmare. I have since made a complaint to the RAC about him.

Easy to do. Helpful person in phone call. Very pleased. Repeat customer for last 4 years.

Easy step by step guide and even though it was so easy I still made a mistake on one of the answers a phone call which was answered extremely quickly soon resolved the situation and the insurance was set up very happy with the service and I’m glad I made the decision to go ahead with the insurance quote
