I've signed up with Pluto for the second year now, they are very responsive in chat, policies are clear, pricing is clear (you can mix and match items according to your needs), sign-up process very easy and they have an app. Where else do you find this level of transparency and hassle-free experience?

Recently used Pluto to book cover for a trip abroad was fairly impressed with how easy the process was and for once things were actually explained.

I previously hated the process of booking insurance for travelling abroad with the lack of clarity. It seems the Pluto app has completely resolved that.

Further more my trip subsequently was postponed (Due to the COVID situation) so I used the app to message asking if I could receive a refund of sorts (was not expecting a reply). And to my amazement Alex got back to me offering me 10 pound off my next purchase.

I doubt I will go elsewhere again as they seem like a company we can finally trust.

Easy to use and great app. Clearly shows what is covered and good options

Simple and good ordering process. Prices seem reasonable, though not the absolute cheapest. Support seems reasonably fast at responding.

I'm yet to make a claim, so I can't comment on that part of the process.

Great: picking insurance, options, paying, chatting with support team, submitting original claim

Not so great: dealing with CSAL which is the company behind to scenes dealing with the actual claim once it goes via Zurich.

Edit: Pluto assured me this was a one off and are chasing things on their end. I changed the review from 3 to 4 to reflect their user-centred approach into solving this.

Fast easy and cost effective - covered for the whole year and won't need to worry about it moving forward :)

I was looking for travel insurance and was getting very frustrated at the lack of clarity in traditional policies and quotes, until I came across Pluto which literally saved my day! Extremely easy quoting process - everything was explained simply and with examples, and it was very straightforward to add extra features. Not to mention the excellent price! 100% recommended!

Owing to the Coronavirus situation, I recently found myself in the unfortunate position of needing to claim back the cost of a new flight in order to return to the UK. Pluto’s app makes it very easy to submit a claim, and there’s no need to call. I did experience some complications with my claim though, and I found myself needing to call on the Pluto team for assistance. It’s fair to say they couldn’t have been more helpful, responding to my email almost immediately, and stepping in with the underwriter’s claims team in order to get things sorted. I’m pleased to say that my claim was settled a few days later.
I’ve been genuinely impressed with Pluto at every stage of the process, and in these extremely difficult times, they’ve really helped to make things just that little bit better!

After being stranded abroad during the recent pandemic with my original flights being cancelled, the support by Pluto founder Alex Rainey in assisting me on almost a daily basis to provide some clarity on the situation so that i could book separate tickets to get home as well as following up for me with the claims team afterwards to ensure my claim was paid out was the one of the best pieces of customer service I've received. If only all travel insurance providers were like this!
