An excellent alternative to Amazon. However, could do with learning some lessons (from Amazon). First, update your website close to Christmas if/when vouchers will not arrive in time. And how about being able to print out individual vouchers - we had to order 90 individual (plastic) cards as was not able to supply individual email addresses for each recipient.

I had a great experience with One4all. I was a bit late buying Christmas presents for staff at work, and this turned out to be the quickest and easiest solution. The service has improved a lot since the last time I used it in 2023.

Previously, the only option was a physical card, which wasn’t ideal one card was even lost, and there was a £5 charge for a replacement. Now, the option of a digital card is a huge improvement. You can add it straight to your wallet and use it digitally in-store by scanning, without worrying about carrying or losing a physical card. It feels like having cash, but in a much more convenient digital format.
The card can be used in many shops, which is a big plus. The process was smooth, and the cards were issued instantly. You can also customise the look of the card, which is a nice touch. Entering an email and phone number for each recipient is a bit admin heavy, but overall it was very straightforward.

It genuinely saved the day for last-minute Christmas gifts, and I’d happily use One4all again

Called numerous times, no answer; left message, no response, emailed them, no response, arranged a meeting with their AI bot, no one turned up. What a way to run a business.

You can't use them online as a part payment

Ordering & delivery really easy. I was a little disappointed that the gift card was just stuck to a piece of paper rather than a card as they are Xmas presents for staff.

I purchased a £50 gift card from Tesco for my 83 year old mother as a gift. I gave it to her and she decided to go out and spend it on some clothes.

She filled up her basket and went to the checkout to pay using the gift card. When it came to pay, she was told that there was no money on the gift card. She was visibly upset and had to put the items back.

On returning home, she contacted me and told me what had happened and was still upset and embarrassed. I contacted One4all and expressed my concerns and anger with what had happened. They informed me that the card had been used in Croydon and depleted the £50 balance. I informed them that my mum was 83 and lives in Liverpool and had never been to Croydon.

I had to complete an online form explaining what had happened and would receive a response within 1 working day. This didn’t happen and I contacted them again. I was then told that it had been sent to the reissue department and I would receive a replacement in 2 working days. After 3 working days I still had not heard from them so I contacted them again. I was informed that they were running behind and it would be sorted out by close of play that day. This happened and I was sent a digital gift card for the original amount.

Basically from what I gather, the gift card had either been duplicated or hacked somehow. Although I did eventually get the card reissued, this doesn’t take away from the upset and embarrassment my mum went through.

There was no apology or explanation or even some kind of goodwill gesture.

Next time I will just give her the money as then at least I will know she physically has it. I won’t be using these cards again.

This is the hardest online gift I’ve ever bought and it’s completely messed up. I wanted to send a gift card by email to my friend for her birthday, she lives in a different area from me. instead it has now sent a gift card to my address arriving in 2-3 days.
